Close to RDSNeeded accommodation near RDS, so this was perfect! Only downside were very noisy people stopping in guesthouse coming in after 2.00am.

The hotel was very clean and tidy (except my duvet and towel both had rips in), and the location was fine (buses were easier enough to get the hang of and seemed to run quite frequently). However, the customer service was a bit lacking, there was no 'was everything ok' / 'anything i can help with', which there weren't any problems but it'd still be nice to have been asked!

A decent enough place and a bargainous price for Dublin. Couldn't really work out who was running it though but it was fine. In a posh part of town and approx 10-15 mins walk from St Stephen's Green. Staff were pleasant and offered us a 24 hour parking permit which was nice of them. Tea and a kettle in the room which was good.

Satisfactory Grade C- Very expensive country, so at an average of £50 per night for 2 people, its good value for money. If you like your towels without holes in them, it's fine. For a short 1-2 night stay, it was adequate. I suggest they run up the motorway and buy a few new mattresses. The one I had was pathetic. Fortunately, there was a single bed duvet also in the room which we were able to lay on top of the mattress and sleep on.Location was great, couldn't get lost going into Dublin and parking was cheaply available at weekend. Just would not stay there again because of poor mattress. Improve the pillows and mattresses add £5 per night and it would go to a 5 for value for money bearing in mind expense of Dublin and location. Grade would go to a B.

Trip to IrelandThis hotel is in a Georgian town house so the rooms are spacious with high ceilings. The room was comfortable and clean. The receptionist was excellent and went to some trouble to provide me with a map to get me from the hotel to the ferry port.There was no restaurant as such though they do provide a cooked breakfast. I went a short distance along the road to a pub, the Waterloo, where I had an excellent steakserved by a very nice French girl from near Marseilles who was taking a year out from studying politics in France.

Good location, OK price coupla glitchesPembroke Rd is a safe, quite part of town and not too far from the city centre. The room was ok, clean, right. Oddly located just behind the reception desk. Shower was not properly installed, sprayed everywhere. The hairdrier was out of order but no note was there to say it was so and that a spare drier was available in a drawer. I paid €49 for a nite stay in a single room with no breakfast. Compared to the old Dublin standards this is ok. However €35 would be a more appropriate rate for the standard of the room and service. We'll see

The room was nice and spacious, with a large window that looked out onto the street. The bed was big enough to sleep 2 people. There was also a closet with hangers and extra blankets. The heater worked fine. I could hear the people next door to me faintly but not enough to bother me. There was some dust on the surfaces of the desk and side table. The TV had about 15 channels. There's a sitting room downstairs with a computer that's connected to the Internet that you can use for free, but it's old and the screen is hard to look at and it's outdated, I couldn't even check my Yahoo mail because the browser hadn't been updated yet. The hotel is a good two blocks' walk to the bus stop, where you can catch a bus that will take you into the city center, about a 15 minute trip. There are restaurants and grocery stores in the area too. If you're coming from the city center to the hotel, make sure the bus driver drops you off on Pembroke Road, and not near Pembroke Sreet, which is what happened to me and I had to drag my suitcase for five long blocks. Of course this doesn't reflect my stay at the hotel, just a head's up for future travelers. I wouldn't say it's within walking distance of popular attractions, not unless you like walking for a while, but the bus can take you where you want to go or at least connect you to other buses that can. I would recommend that you eat breakfast outside, if breakfast isn't included in your room rate, you'll save money and time. Overall I had a good experience and the manager was nice.

Pembroke Hall GuesthouseThe hotel is a fifteen-twenty minute walk from the centre of town, but it is a lovely walk along wide streets and crossing the canal. The room was spacious and comfortable, and there was a great shower. The bathroom, however, was cold with an awful draft, so you had to keep the door shut. Internet was available wirelessly in the bedroom and in a communal sitting room. Some of the staff were not very friendly, but I had no problems getting what I needed, so this wasn't a huge issue.

Very comfortable, clean and friendly place. It area is perfect, close walk from city center and easy to reach by public transport coming from the airport.

Pembroke Hall DublinGenerally it was an ideal guest house. The only problem was getting an answer from the door bell. When we arrived we rang and rang the bell and after about 5 minutes the door was answered. We also left our luggage in the guest house on our check out day (having been told that someone was there all day) but when we arrived to collect it prior to getting the bus to the airport, there was nobody in - only after a phone call did we discover that the member of staff was in the supermarket!! We stood on the doorstep for half an hour and just managed to catch our bus.

Wonderful!My boyfriend and I stayed at Pembroke Hall Guesthouse because it was cheap and near the city centre and ended up really liking it. We could easily park on the street (pay parking except on weekends), the room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the staff were nice. The walk to the city was only about 15 minutes through streets that were quite pleasant, with bars, cafes etc most of the way and it seemed safe (there were plenty of people out late at night). Definitely stay there again!

so soWe stayed there for 2 nights. On the very beginning we have been surprised that the host did not offered to us to seat down while waiting for the keys (approx 15 -20 minutes) in nearby leaving room. We had to stay in the corridor right next to the door to the leaving room. Rooms were nicely arranged however there were dust on the bedside lamp. In the shower we spotted hair. In my room window blind and toilet seat were broken. We called the host straight away whom repair the toilet and said that they are aware that the blind is broken. Well it would be nice if it was mentioned before we entered the room. Anyway the room was bit smelly (possibly because it was difficult to open the window with this roller blind). In friends room at 8am the radiator started to make horrible noise and the host straggled to repair it. The noise was very laud and could be heard across the building. It came off few times during our stay and the hosts seem to be perfectly aware about faulty radiator but nothing has been done about it. Some of the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay more pleasant, however some of them don’t. On the first evening we did not have any problem to get couple of wine glasses but on the second evening I was told that they don’t have any…

good value for money some minor repairs required in the room - shower head broken; which suggested that the full tarrif could not be expected for the room we stayed in.

Pretty Good StayOverall a pretty good stay. It had all the essentials I needed - ie bed, shower, kettle; also tv and wireless but i didn't use them. Although it is a bit of a trek into the city centre (but that's not their fault), I would stay there again...
