My husband and I traveled from Oklahoma to attend his youngest brother's funeral. We are senior citizens living on a fixed income. We both smoke, and Pear Tree was the only motel in the St. Louis area that had smoking rooms--Hallelujah! The staff was outstanding, as was the free breakfast--cereal, rolls, muffins, fruit, coffee, local tv, and a newspaper! A great barbeque restaurant and a Denney's is within walking distance, and there is also a Sonic only a hop, skip, and jump away. Parking was no problem. We were able to park within 20 feet of our entry way. Non smokers--go to a motel/hotel that charges $90 to $150 a night if you don't want the odor of smoke. My husband and I have found a "home away from home" at Pear Tree.

The Pear Tree Inn - Fenton. This place is locate right on rt. 44 and there is plenty of dinning around. Drive time to St. Louis is about 20 minutes. The woman who checked me in was very nice and got me a refrigerator but since they had to put it on the desk I no longer had a desk which I do use. They have a lot of 1 night business. Typical continental breakfast, place was very clean but the floor I was on still had a faint smell of smoke. There was a lot of activity in the parking lot at the restaurant aside of the hotel. Men & women hanging out and drinking and there was usually beer bottles in the parking lot in the morning. I did feel uneasy coming back at night which was usually late and parking by the elevator door was limited. Don't get me wrong this is good hotel it is kept very clean needs some updating but it's not bad but being a single woman I felt uncomfortable, so I wouldn't stay here again.

Inexpensive, close to highway and convenient to downtown. Dirty room. Stayed at neighboring Drury the night before, tried to save some money for second night stay. Regret. Room was smaller than Drury, and a bit on the dingy side. Made must have been in a hurry the night before... bed was made, but dirty towels on floor, trash in trash cans (including food wrappers), and ice bucket had melted water pooling around it.

The front desk staff, housekeeping, and check-in staff were all friendly. They had good advice about going to Six Flags. However, it is in a gated area outside and was a nice temperature, warm, but not overly warm.

Beds were WAY too soft, and pillows were the crumb foam type which are never comfortable in my opinion. Although a non smoking room, there were cigarette burns on the nightstand and bedspread.

Our stay was pretty much what we expected it would be and as it had been in the past, except for the light on the night stand did not work and the price has gone up a lot from last year when we were there.

Location. Odors. Hotel was convenient location for our final destitution. Price was good for what we got. The hotel had odors in mail lobby and hallways. A little outdated in decor.

We stopped here while traveling across country, The rooms were comfortable, they let us use the pool later than posted. Denny's is right next door and gas stations are nearby to get fuel before you hit the road.

The Pear Tree was very comfortable and made us feel safe since we were two ladies on our first trip by ourselves. The room was very clean and we had a wonderful time. It was very clese to the highway and it was right on the way to our destination

The staff and the location. Everywhere the presence of stale cigarette odor. My sister came to have surgery at a hospital in the St Louis area. Concurrently, my bathroom was being renovated. So I obtained this room so she could recover. The staff were fabulous and responsive. But the hotel must have been 100% open to smokers at one time. Every place in the hotel is filled with stale cigarette odor and potpourri. There isno source for fresh air and it would seem no one has allowed fresh air in there for some time.

The Pear Tree Inn in Fenton was a very pleasant place to stay. Eveything was very clean and in good repair. The continental breakfast was the usual carb fest, but adequate. The whole deal was a good value for a moderate price.

The Pear Tree Inn was a nice room and the location is wonderful. You can be at any attraction in the St. Louis surrounding area in 30-45 or less, depending where you are going. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The location is good for us when traveling I-44. The facility is clean and the staff courteous.

Everyone treated us with kindness and were very friendly. My only complaint was the exit door from the building slammed every five minutes from 9 -12 p.m. and from 2 - 8 a.m. We were in a handicaped room #106 near the entrance and found it very hard to sleep.
