The hotel has a great location next to a metro stop, easy access to the subway system. Staff was friendly, helpful. Hotel needs some work and upkeep, an overall facelift and refurbishing is in order. Wallpaper dirty, blankets on beds had spots, shower curtain in bathroom very dirty from mildew. I was able to change rooms, second room an improvement over the first. I would not stay there again.

I'have stayed 4 days in this hotel, and it was lovely. I had first a room without a bad and I wanted one. So i have asked them if it is possible and it was no problem, without extra payments i had the other room. The rooms are very quiet, but not so spaceys, but we are only for the nights in the room. I recommend this hotel for every one

Cheap tickets have provided very decent hotels for us in the past, but they were obviously 'hood-winked' on this one. We were already uncomfortable with the neighborhood (graffiti, homeless and questionable people) but when we arrived and found hotel awning was ripped and dirty; our concerns deepened. We understand European standards can be different, and appreciated it's close proximity to Gare de Nord station; but rotting floorboards, a shower that flooded the bathroom floor and flowed into the room's carpet, along with dirty bedspreads and only one drinking glass to share between us -- was a bit much. If it wasn't for my wife's and my great sense of humor (along with several bottles of good French wine - which we purchased outside of hotel) I doubt our honeymoon could have been as memorable. The one person at a time elevator was the least of our worries -- Traffic muffled and 'Doll House decor' dimmed by 3rd glass of wine. Young French girls at desk tried to speak English and help us, but man working night shift was much happier chatting on phone-- (our apologies for interrupting and trying to order something to eat!--Which took an hour to get to our room -- this hotel is NOT busy.) Get this one off your list please -- had we not pre-paid we would have left after the first 30 seconds. P.S.: We asked the staff if there were any good places to eat in the area and they said (in perfect English) "No."

Hotel staff were the most helpful I have found in Paris. Location was average for a women staying by herself but can't do much about that.

This hotel was a delightful surprise. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast provided each morning was excellant and the staff was very attentive. Rooms were very clean and amenities were provided in the bath. We were within walking distance of shops, restaurants and several great neighborhoods. The bus system and metro were practically at our door. Our entire experience was very good.
