The hotel is fantastic for those who just want a bed for the night. Don't plan on spending much time in the hotel as the services available are very limited. Although a TV is provided it offers very little and the only channels available are, it would seem, mainstream French TV stations.Customer service from the late night recepionist was very poor. Obviously given the little french language i knew he didnt offer the slightest bit of help with a problem we had with our booking. We got it sorted but his arrogance came across from the minute we stepped foot in the building.The daytime receptionist couldn't help us enough!! We asked for directions - as tourists do - and he was very helpful. Certainly made up for the lack of customer service shown by the night worker.We didnt sample the food in the morning as we were cramming in all the sights into one day (which, believe it or not, can be done!!) but from the setting and smells im sure it would have been nice.One area of concern was the damp in the room in which i stayed in. Not just a small case but quite extensive damp running from a couple of areas in the room. Lack of free power points was also a concern. Aside from the one used for the TV, there was only one available socket in which to use.I would probably recommend the hotel to people who want to go to Paris for the sightseeing but certainyl not for those who are looking for a romantic break. Pay a little something extra and get somewhere nearer the River.

The room I booked was on the ground floor with a window facing the street. Any walker can look into the room. Excepted that good price vs service and location
