A very bad and expensive experience I would strongly recommend not to book this hotel as the price (€ 150 to € 280 per night excluding breakfast) is outrageously high as compared with the poor quality of the room and service offered. The room was depressing, the bathroom was very small, with a mouldy shower and no hot water as apparently, the boiler was not suitable to provide rooms located on the 5th and 6th floor with hot water! Of course, I did not receive any compensation for this.I am French currently living in London and it makes me furious that tourists (from the UK and elsewhere) may book this kind of rooms to visit Paris: they not only will have a very unpleasant experience and a deep feeling that they have been robbed and deceived, but they will have a very bad picture of France!Please, do choose another hotel!

A great locality,close to Villiers Metro station and the next block from local street market, where we enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere. We had a leisurely walk through beautiful Parc Monceau to The Arc d Triomph & on to the Eiffel Tower

The room was too small

The rooms were of a suitable size and resonable - however there were crumbs obviously left from previous guest- the bathroom had hiars in the shower on the floor and in the corners, the drain had a very bad odour.I had the need to make a couple of phone calls to Australia- the cost was exorbitant- as I had made similar calls in Amsterdam and the cost was considerably. lest compare 44E to 120E- needless to say I felt "ripped off" however very difficult as a single female traveller to contest this.

The Poor Relation of Sister Pavillion Hotels in ParisWe had stayed at a sister Pavillions Hotel in Paris before and thought it was totally excellent. This one was very poor. Our room had a fold-down-from-the-wall double bed which was shorter than a normal bed so my feet dangled out of one end whilst my head and pillow kept dropping down the big hole where a headboard would normally be. There was no chambermaid during our 2 day stay. Mould in the shower. The hotels internet access was broken (although we were directed to the sister hotel for this). We tried to watch the advertised Hollywood Movie on the pay TV channel but it had been replaced by pornography. Breakfast was an extra €9 per person and very poor by French standards. Security was terrible - we were given our own luggage plus someone elses when we collected our bags for the airport - good job we are honest. But it was cheap!

We stayed in a standard room as this is what we could afford. The hotel was lovely and in a brilliant location, just 2-3 minute walk to the metro. Staff really helpful but not all can speak English. The room was very small, not much room to move about once we had unpacked. We did not notice in the small print of our reservation it says the room had a sofa bed and not a double. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on and very nosy to even sit on. The room would have been big enough to fit a small double bed with a reasonably comfortable mattress. The room had a small kitchen as you would expect in a hotel room but everything worked fine. The fridge was big enough for everything you needed to keep cold or frozen. There was a microwave and electric hob with saucepans and plate so you can easily make simple dinners and boil water for teas and coffees. However there was no tea towel or anything to clean plates with. The bathroom was small and compacted but was well finished and had everything you needed hairdryer, shaver socket and lots of towels. The shower was very hot and powerful which was a luxury after the poor night sleep. There was only four hanger and two small shelves in the wardrobe so had to used the table to put our clothes on this was fine as you couldn’t sit at the table and the bet was in the way for you to sit on the chair. I would very much recommend this hotel everything about it was brilliant expect the bed. So I would request twin room or go for a more expensive room with a double bed.

I don't know who gave this hotel 3 stars but they certainly didn't stay in room 7. The duplex was a decent size but the furniture & decor are in need of repair and updating. We were confronted by bare lightbulbs, blood stained pillows with no covers, dirty bathroom and a sofabed that just smelt. The location in Paris was fine, the staff were friendly and helpful but the standard of accomodation and the cleanliness / condition of the room just wasn't acceptable. I would not stay here again

Location of hotel was not the best with people drinking in surrounding streets and doorways every night of our 5 night stay. (Clearly not the hotels fault) My girlfriend commented she would be unhappy coming and going on her own at night. In the hotel itself, the bed was basically a glorified fold down bed and we both found it to be uncomfortable. The TV consists of 6 channels of French programs with an option to watch hotel TV at an additional charge of 12 euros per day. Room/bathroom very cramped in my opinion and the shower ran out of hot water one morning. TV is also wall mounted and if you are of average male height you will have no trouble banging your head of it, as I did. Breakfast is served in the basement in a very cramped room. Plus points were fresh towels and bed made every day and the staff were always friendly and courteous.

The rooms are very small. With the bed pulled out there is barely room to walk around the room which is difficult with two people sharing. However the location is wonderful with a supermarket near by, lots of restaurant choices and the subway just around the corner.

The hotel was very convenient to the Metro with a selection of nice shops nearby including a supermarket. The staff were friendly and checking in was straightforward. As a family of 7 we had two rooms - a two bed apartment which was adequate if a little small and a 3 bed superior room which was a good size for a parisian hotel, both rooms had ensuites shower rooms and although the shower space was a little cramped everything was in perfect working order. There were also cooking facilities, utensils and a fridge - great for chilling a bottle of wine. There was no kettle though. The breakfast was generous continental and was served in the breakfast room - we ate earlyish 8 - 8.30 leave it til 9am and it got a bit crowded. The only seating area was at reception but there was a nice little courtyard with seating. Our stay lasted a week and compared with the price we would have paid at other hotels we were very happy and we would definitely stay at this hotel again

I read the reviews on tripadvisor and decided to book the hotel. The beds were sofa beds as described in the reviews, however, they were very uncomfortable and creaked at every move. The double room just about let the person on the wall side of the bed get out witouth climbing over the other person. We managed to get very little sleep. This may have been solely my bed though. Rooms are small as common in France. Good cooking and washing facilities with a fridge but no kettle. Bathroom small but adequate. The hotel is quite noisy with thin walls and we had people running about from room to room after 12 midnight whilst we tried to sleep.The location is nice. Villiers metro station 5-10 minutes walk down Rue de Levis which is a lovely pedestrianised (most) street with market stalls and shops all along it. Good base to explore Paris however the bed is the massive downside.

Very friendly and helpful staff particularly at reception. The room and linen were clean, and there was a comforable amount of space. The little in-suite kitchen was very useful. Location was great: close to the metro, a moderately sized supermarket, good restaurants, and extremely good food shops. We had a problem with the shower which we reported and it was fixed by the time we returned in the evening. We would make a beeline for this hotel on a return to Paris.

Had been looking for somewhere closer to centre of city but this was perfect! only round the corner from Villiers metro stop, a fantastic family restaurant round the corner, amazing food! grocery store open all hours for water,snacks etc as our room was self catering with fridge.cooker etc. breakfast was great,lots to choose from. nice area!

We found the hotel excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. Very central, excellent value, very clean, fresh linen/towels daily. Could not fault it and would def go back and recommend to friends. Everything in room we needed, very compact but perfect for our stay.

The location is good, central and close to the metro. The room was very basic. A small room and the bed was actually a fold out couch. A comfotrable fold out couch, but not a bed... Staff were friendly and overall cleanliness etc was good.

Hotel was lovely. 5minute walk from the under ground which was very central. Breakfast was excillent!!! Room lacked space but it was very clean and the staff were helpful and friendly.

location was very good, in an area which was mixed residential/retail and very lively. a short walk to the metro and a pleasant area to walk in generally
