I like that it was such a Grand hotel, historic, and lot of Southern Charm. I didn't like that the walls were not well insulated for sound. They had a large wedding party that weekend, a lot of drunk noise. Grand historic hotel that should be on anyones radar if they are traveling that part of Augusta, GA. Have a Mint Julep and become Southern for a while, hell it wouldn't hurt a bit. Yes all come.

We were excited to go to this historic hotel for a weekend getaway but were very disappointed with the overall stay. The staff was not attentive, service was poor at the front desk and lack of training was evident. The room was very large (suite) but dull. The furnishings were uncomfortable and in all the space the decor was extremely sparce. The pillows and linnens were very nice and comfortable but the bed itself was a bit uncomfortable. The space in the bathroom was too small and we could not even unpack all of our toiletries in there. The water in the shower did not stay hot for the second person showering - both days. The parking garage is very small and you must drag your luggage down/up stairs to get into the hotel (though we found later that there is valet parking but nobody offered when we originally parked out front to check-in). Dinner on the veranda was very good and the music was entertaining. We will not be coming back to this hotel to stay. If you do select this hotel, it did offer rooms with very large balconies that seemed very nice.

Friendly and beautifully restored historical building. Parking was cramped. The hotel was nearly booked the night we arrived so only a small room was available but the next night they upgraded us to a beautiful suite, which was very comfortable.

The hotel was dated and did not have a good overall feel. Staff was friendly, but the hotel itself was far from what was expected. Bathroom was very small and there was no AC in the main areas of the hotel. Stairs from parking deck to hotel and no coverage from the rain. If you go, park in front and get help with your bags.

Incredible southern charm with a staff ready to handle the needs of the most demanding business traveler. The neighborhood is beautiful, but since it is not downtown it is not within walking distance of anything. The Partridge Inn is a perfect alternative to the cut and dry chain hotel experience, especially for the weary business traveler. Beautiful wrap around porches, most rooms have access to a balcony complete with rocking chairs, and a gorgeous bar, often featuring live music. Plenty of private spaces for business meetings. Convenient and gourmet breakfast buffet everyday. Skip the suites, the regular rooms have French door access to the wrap around porches, which will more than make up for the marginal benefit of a separate living room and bedroom. The bathrooms are well done, except for a silly glass shelf that sticks out over the sink, and makes it very difficult for a tall man to lean over the sink while shaving. Other than that, highly recommended.

was a little wary after reading the other reviews but they are wrong! we were MOST impressed with the hotel. every person we encountered went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. a beautiful, old building - well maintained, loads of charm with modern conveniences. room was huge and very comfortable, linens luxurious. ""continental"" breakfast impressive - made to order omelets and anything you could want. were there for the busiest weekend of the year and it was outstanding. first time we actually wish we had more time IN THE HOTEL. will go back to augusta JUST to stay there.

Friendly and helpful staff. My room needed some light bulb replacements. This hotel is not for everyone, but I loved it's old-South atmosphere and charm.

The hotel is a very attractive older inn. But like any older, retrofitted inn, it sometimes needs additional maintenance. Our room's air conditioner went out in the evening, leaving us in an 85 degree room: it was actually cooler outdoors. The staff was wonderful. They acted quickly - moving us to a different room. All around the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.

I stayed at this hotel while I was in town for a wedding. The new renovations are excellent!! The bed was more comfortable than the one I have at home!! All of the staff encountered greeted me with a smile and even remembered my name! It was truly an extremely relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Friendly, helpful staff. Great location for our needs. Attractive historical hotel. Lots of stairs from parking lot to hotel. We chose not to valet park, so it was our choice. Very historical hotel. The rooms were beyond our expectation. We asked for a suite and it was a true two room suite. The rooms and bathrooms were exceptionally clean. The staff were friendly and competent. We really enjoyed sitting on the huge veranda and enjoying the spring weather. The location was perfect.

Staff greeted me and checked-in went very well. Had important dinner guests and the meals were excellently pre- pared and presented! Facilities perfect for a business trip or a getaway.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They don't put a fitted bottom sheet on the bed so half way throught the night your tangled in your covers. The door didn't seal so you could see the hallway light all around it. We also happened to be staying there while about 3 boys basketball teams stayed there, they were loud and our room was far from sound proof. I could lay in bed and hear every word of the phone conversation in the next room. Not to mention their 1am gathering to watch the game on TV. On several occastions during our 3 night stay they woke us up during the night by being loud. I have and 8 month old who normally sleeps throught the night, but not at this hotel. The room and restaurant were overpriced and I would never stay there again.

"To look at it, you would think it is the most charming place in the city...surprise! I was moved to three rooms because of problems ranging from no TV controller, broken phone, broken phone message system, and sopping wet carpet. Bad enough, but all this time, my mother was trying like crazy to get me, and not a single message was delivered. The kind of service I would expect from the worst motel in the city. "

Had good dining on premises. Did not have refrigerator or microwave. Had a jazz music piped everywhere.

"Thought the place was a fire trap! Musty, bugs, paper thin walls. Overpriced, over rated and happy it's over for me!"

Dirty room, confused check in, roaches, dingy halls, smoker in restaurant, bad meal. I would not go there again. The historical building is just a run down building.

Unbelievable that this hotel has a Zagat rating of four. We checked in at 8PM and asked for more pillows; received them after 9PM after calling 2 additional times. Also had to kill 2 roaches in the room. Not this hotel's finest hour.

Sink, tub and toilet in bathroom, but no counter space or shelving and only 1 towel bar - very difficult for family to remain organized. Very friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is centrally located to any of the important spots, i.e. downtown, I20 etc. It is a historic hotel and has a very comfortable southern atmosphere. The dining experience is a little slow and the menu is sparse, but you are guaranteed to find something you want to eat and it is worth the wait. If you opt to eat on the terrace, it is climate controlled and a very soothing environment to have a meeting or lunch with your spouse. Overall, the staff bent over backwards at every turn, the room was clean, well decorated and comfortable and the whole experience far exceeds my expectations. Very pleasant!
