Yet again a wonderful stay - even on crutches! The staff could not have been more accommodating, the accommodation could not have been more comfortable and the food... well, the standard of food produced at the in house restaurant is consistently outstanding. My wife and I are well and truly addicted to The Parsonage and would recommend this hotel to all.

Nice hotel - nothing special - very expensive bar, etcA reasonable room, nothing special. I was amazed to be charged a £13 corkage fee to take two empty wine glasses to my room to drink my own bottle of wine. Even though I had been buying drinks in the bar for an hour or so. Hardly the kind of service you expect! This is the only hotel that has ever charged me for this. Customer service was generally not very good though.

Excellent Saturday night stay The Parsonage is a very comfortable and welcoming hotel in a lovely setting. There is plenty of parking in the grounds. We were, helped with our bags to our room in the coach house which was spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was interesting with something for everyone. Staff were very attentive and helpful without being ott. The grounds are pleasant and it is an ideal venue for wedding parties, conferences and private stays. Highly recommended.

Excelent hotel a swimming pool would have been a bonus, onlly one other resteraunt nearby. THAI. On site eating at the hotel very good quality BUT very expensive

I stayed at the Parsonage for one night because of an early appt in York the following day.The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The room was bright and clean with plenty of space. Spent time in the evening watching the bunnies and squirrels on the lawn. Have booked another room for this week again for business.

Enjoyed stayStaff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was pretty good. Hotel was easy to find and quite handy to drive into York or use the park and ride. Standard of everything was good. Enjoyed doing the teddy bear trail (just a big kid at heart!!). Happy with cost. Would use again.

I always laterooms.com, never had a bad hotel as yet. The Parsonage is one I will use again and recommend to anyone. Beautiful hotel and grounds, the staff could not have been more helpful.

Top QualityCertainly up there with the best.Delightful setting in a very quiet area next to the local church this hotel is set in beautiful grounds with a nice garden to wander around and a lovely warm very large conservatory at the rear.The room is large, modern with a large TV and very quiet. Bathroom clean and also large.Breakfast menu better than the norm, service and helpfulness of staff excellent.Within 15 minutes of York it is a good option for those with their own transport wishing to stay out of the busy city.

Good hotel, bargain price via LateRoomsMy wife and I very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a classy feel about it, the room was well-appointed, quite large and with a nice view, the service was good, the dinner (3 courses for £20) was excellent and the gardens were pleasant. The 'list' price of £120 per night seems about right, so the £50 we paid represented tremendous value. The only minus points - it's within earshot of a busy-ish road, the gardens behind the hotel (whilst generally smart) had their untidy bits and the Yorkshire pudding was chewy (in Yorkshire!). But overall our experience was very positive.

Very Good Hotel RoomsStayed at Parsonage through Late rooms. The hotel staff were very good, the room was also very good and comfortable.The price of food at this hotel would put a lot of people off.

Lone traveller on businessThis was a typical country house hotel that had a fairly new extension attached. The room was large, comfortable and clean which was what i'd expected.The staff where helpful and offered me the bar menu even though it was after the time stated on the menu, this was great as the main menu was more than i wanted to eat that evening.I'll book here again if i'm in this area on business.

BUSINESS AND LEISURE STAY 20 MAY 2009This is an extremely pleasant country hotel within very easy reach of York on the South side. Service is excellent. Our room was large and airy though a little cool. The electric heater used to compensate was clicking on and off through the night. The carpet was superficially clean but, on closer inspection, could have done with a more thorough going-over: my partner couldn't walk across it in bare feet. I had to leave on business very early but my partner declared the breakfast to be superb.

Another super stay at the ParsonageWe work in York regularly and always stay at the Parsonage.if we can. The hotel accommodation is always of a high standard, the staff are exceptionately pleasant and welcoming. the restaurant food is wonderful. Although it is a few miles outside of York, it is a pleasant commute into York The peaceful setting and ambience of the hotel and well maintained gardens make it very worthwhile.

Parsonage - YorkWe booked into this hotel (BB&D) based on other people's comments. We can only say that we found it superb. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant and food first class. At the deal that they had running it was very good value for money. We will stay again i fin York.
