My friends and I went to Gailtlinburg for our annual Christmas trip. We decided to stay at the Days Inn downtown to be nearer to all the activity. My friend who frequently travels and stays at Days Inn's across Kentucky has never stayed in a bad one. This was by far the worst hotel we had ever stayed in. The first room we were given, the room itself smelled of cigerette smoke even though the room was "non-smoking". We were moved to another room which was just as bad as the first. The beds were stained, slanted downwards toward the headboard and were very uncomfortable. The rug was so filthy it left our socks dirty. The room again smelled of smoke , emphasized by the cigerette burns in the carpet. The tub was old and had black stains in the bottom of it and the facet on the sink was also broken. The pool not only had not been drained, but had a host of things floating in it, such as bottles, chairs, tables and the umbrellas from the tables. I can not believe a chain hotel such as Days Inn had such as horrible hotel to represent it's name.

Found open pop cans left in the mini fridge. Floor hadn't been vacuumed. Pretty dirty throughout. Most of all, the main pool was closed for renovations (but never saw any construction going on), but no mention on their website of this fact. They have a smaller pool in the rear, but it was so far away from our room it wasn't worth visiting. I would not recommend this hotel. Luckily we were only there one night

Do Not Stay Here!! My husband and I were on our way back from Myrtle beach and wanted to stay the night in Gatlinburg as we have been there many times. Of course he decided he would find a great deal. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! We got there checked in, went to out room and check right back out. This hotel should be burned down and rebuilt. It is the nastiest hotel I have ever seen. Lobby says "No Smoking", but smells like a smoke stack, carpet in room was filthy and stained. The sink in our room had what appeared to be a piece of partical board nailed to it. The toilet didn't flush, the bathtub was rusty and the room was just all around disgusting. The pool was filled with green algae and the walkways to the rooms smelled like urine. The lady at the front desk was rude and unfriendly. There are alot of nice Days Inn Hotels, sad to say they have their name on this one.

The hotel room my family and I stayed in looked like it had not been repaired or kept up since the place was first built. The elevator had the foulest smell so we took the stairs constantly to avoid it. The front desk staff were unfriendly and did not make us feel wanted. My family and I were not expecting anything extravagant for $* a night, but we still expected common courtesy. We will definitely not stay there again. We chose Days Inn as it is a known hotel chain instead of staying at a place we were not familiar with.

1) 1st room we were given - plumbing broken 2) No ice machine in operation in the entire motel 3) Ask at the desk for a tv clicker 4) 1/2 the items for breakfast were out at 8:30 5) Room was clean, price was low

First we noticed the door lock was about to fall off; it was difficult to insert the room key and pull it out, and the inside door handle became stuck many times. The tub faucet leaked constanly. The shower temperature was difficult to maintain. The whole family complained about getting scalded or frozen. The hotel had 2 pools; one was bone dry, the other was filled with stagnent water and a massive population of algae. The phone jack was pulled completely out of the wall and could not be fixed by hotel maintenance. The curtains were missing a hanging clip. The lamp shades had been shot with what appeared to be bb's. The maids failed to leave sufficient toiletries. Even though they returned 22.50 for the broken phone, I would still recommend anyone going to Gatlinburg find a more decent hotel.

There was a poor staff, dirty pool, vending and ice machines broken, no fitted sheets on beds, fireplace was a joke, jacuzzi needed repairs. Could have rented a chalet for the price and been a lot happier. The room was in bad need of renovation. For where it is in Gatlinburg, which is the only upside, it was a joke. definately would not take a child to stay there. Don't make the same mistake that I did. The hotel totally ruined the experience for my wife and I.

My bf of 10 yrs and I decided last minute to go to Gaitlinburg to elope. Being a second marriage planning was all last minute. and as a result this was only hotel left. It looks great in the photos on the website. Must be very OLD photos. Upon arrival we were greeted by an unfriendly, could care less desk person. Hotel was older but we expected that. We entered our second floor room to find beds that looked like they were missing mattresses! The beds were only bout 6inches off the floor. Walking in socks caused them to be black in the first few moments in the room. one bed had no blanket under the bedspread. The bathroom was so tiny, we left the door open so we would not feel like we were locked in a closet. On the first night I requested an iron to get our Wedding clothes unwrinkled from the suitcase. I had to purchase an iron on the day of wedding as it was never delievered to our room after several requests. The first two nights we found our rooms made up. But the day we got married we found our room never made up. Not exactly what we expected as a new bride and groom. We asked staff to please make up room while we went to dinner. It never got made up. Only good thing about the hotel was the vending machine bottled water was cheapest in town. In all it will be laughed about for years to come and a story to tell the grandchildren, look before you pay for a hotel room.

This is by far the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at. The front desk service was horrible at best. When I booked the hotel I had reserved two rooms together. Upon arrival I was informed that the rooms were on the same floor but not together. The keycards wouldn't even let us in one of the rooms. When I went back to the front desk they acted as though it was an inconvenonce for them to try and reprogram my card, which buy the way didn't work and I had to wait over an hour for the maintenance man to return and unlock the door to my room (no other rooms were available). The other bad news: The shower water pressure is low and not stable. If someone in another room happens to flush while you are showering, get ready to get scalded. The air conditioner also leaked causing the room to have a wet spot in the carpet (that my son found with his socks) and a musky odor that they tried to cover up with cleaners.

Toilet not secured well to the floor. Small portion of wall paper peeling. Staff smoked in the building so the hall smelled of cigerette smoke. Ice maker did not function during the whole visit. Location was good. We will not stay at this hotel again whenever we visit Gatlinburg in the future.

"The pictures are soooo misleading! First of all there is no pool--there is a square concrete hole filled with dirt! 2nd, rooms were dirty-rotten fruit in fridge, all kinds of random stuff in the floor! Mattress was horrible! Staff was not friendly! If they would have even asked how things were I would have told them that I am SHOCKED that Days Inn puts there name on a place so gross!"

"Relatively cheap compared to other places in area. In need of upgrade, but clean. Not much sound proofing."

"The matresses were sagging, dirty, water spots, torn. The floors were dirty and smelly. Tolit stopped up. Exhaust fan did not work. Hot water took forever to get to room. Even staff was very unfriendly and uncaring."

Our first room did not have heat. The second room, tub did not drain very fast. Stood in 6" of water. Dead bolt did not work, and on the last day rain was running in from a leak in the roof. If you stay there - good luck!

This place has continually gotten worse over the years that I've stayed here. It once was a decent place to stay because of location. I'm sure there are better places to stay price wise.

"Don't let the photos fool ypu, this hotel is a dump, needs alot of repairs. And a much nicer staff !!! They never came and cleaned our room nor did the front staff even care, the location is great though.close to everything"

"I knew it was not going to be five-star quality but I did expect the building to be better maintained and cleaner. However, the room was clean and we loved the location as it is right on the strip. We couldn't relax much in the room though as the beds were hard and uncomfortable and cable was very limited."
