The hotel room had a smell of chemicals that hit you like a truck as you entered the room. This smell did not dissapate with time. You could hear every noise in ajoining rooms. Including but not limited to the toilet and shower.

The hotel service was excellent. In particular, they rang me after I had checked out to let me know they had an item I had left behind, meaning I was able to collect it before I left the city!

Reception is in the Grand Chifley next door to the Country Comfort. My check in was a bit convoluted as they appeared to have difficulty confirming my booking and then asking me approx 5 or 6 times how long I was staying. Then wanted both my Credit Card and Driver's Licence to confirm who I was !! However great value in a great location and I'll continue to use whenever I'm in Adelaide.

If all your after is a Good Clean Cheap Motel a bed for the night then this is the motel for you its just a little tired and in need of a make over BUT then the price would go up!!!

For the price I paid I thought the bathrooms a disgace not in cleanliness but in maintenance, first day the bathroom was infested with ants the screen above the shower did need a clean and the grouting was discusting and taps with hot and cold naming in shower. We had problem with the toilet the maintenance man came pushed the button said all was fine, when ever we pressed the button the water just kept running for a place like Adelaide with water problems one would think the running toilet would have been checked properly.

Evan though our room was a little older it was kept in nice order and the standard of cleaness was tops.

This motel provides very good value for money with very helpful reception staff.

We had a meal in the room the night we arrived. Food was excellent and good value but plates still in room next evening. Daily room clean failed to replace milk and bathroom stuff. Pool tiny and in shade most of day. Good sized room though and staff friendly. Internet onl;y available in hotel next door at 5$ for 15 ninutes v- rip off.

Great location if you are driving, not the best if you are on foot though it has what you need for a budget location in a capitol city.

We stayed at the Country Comfort Adelaide in June 2008 and again this month ( September). We would like to comment that the heating was bad both times and this time we were not given the choice of breakfast with our booking. The service in the dinning room was good everyone was very helpful. The renovations seem to be taking a long time and I hope that the older side of the Hotel gets a face lift as well. Altogeter our stay was satisfactory. Thank you.

After dark everything looks good. Its an old hotel and in need of refurbishment in the rooms, but the staff is very friendly and helpful, the location is a quick walk to a free tram and the breakfast at the Chifley was excellent.

reception staff were very helpful and courteous. Cleaning staff knocked on the door before 9am on a sunday to start cleaning the room (very bad and unwelcome). Position was fantastic as we were in adelaide to go to the show and were able to leave the car at the motel and walk.
