We were only at the hotel for one night so we didn't get to experience everything the hotel had to offer. We did however love the location, friendly staff, large rooms and great views. Maybe we can stay longer next time!

Location, price, and attractiveness. Rooms could be updated more. Excellent hotel for the price. Breakfast was excellent as was the lounge.

i was undecided whether to choose this hotel. this trip was based on an overdue vacation so i wanted some quiet time and time to spend with my husband without HIM getting stressed out. Even though we only spent 1 night (friday), there were events going on but they were far enough away inside the hotel that they did not cause any disruption and we didn't even notice them. we checked in with minimal waiting time and they let us in early. rooms are good size and clean even though the hotel is older it is basically well kept. the chair is our room was stained but couldn't determine if it was cleaned and stained or just stained. but overall, the room was in good shape with newer updates. we could have picked a cheaper hotel in town but i'm sure glad i didn't. it gets hectic down there and you have to pay to park anywhere. therefore, your best bet is to wait for the 50 cent shuttle because it's well worth it because it's crazy to try to scale that hill/bluff that the hotel sits on. after a day full of shopping and eating, we came back to the hotel to relax at the bar/lounge. and had a good time there too. it's not the "5 star hotel" but well worth the money for what a good hotel should be. i would go back.

Our time spent in Gatlinburg was wonderful, but it would have been a little nicer if our hotel room was clean. There was hair all over our bathroom, and no it wasn't ours!! They said that all the rooms had a view of the mountains ours had a view of the hotel pool roof, we couldn't see any of the mountains, the drive up was steep winding road, which wouldn't have been so bad if the hotel was clean and maybe had a view of the steep mountain we drove up. The rooms are also the smallest hotel room I think I have stayed in yet. The pool area could have been a beautiful area, but again, very dirty, the pool had all kinds of nasty stuff floating in it. I can't say that the staff was rude, but not the most friendly hotel I have been to in Gatlinburg. I think next time I will stay at the cheaper hotel, if I have to clean the bathroom myself I might as well not spend as much money. We made the best of it, but I don't think we will be staying here again.

Hotel was nice, quiet and clean. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Beds were very comfortable. View was outstanding. It would have been nice to have a fridge and microwave, but we didn't miss it. The pool was clean and well kept. The food at the restaurant was awesome. Very pleasant visit. Very close to Gatlinburg attrations. Very pleased.

This hotel is on top of a mountain top overlooking Gatlinburg. The views are beautiful from this hotel and it is away from the hustle of downtown, but yet close enough that the trolley service comes right to the door. It probably has one of the best indoor pools in Gatlinburg. Has a bar, room service, resterant, meeting rooms etc.

The Hotel is in need of a major rennovation inside, outside and most respectable the rooms. The rooms are sparsely furnished with with furniture too small for the size of the rooms, the credenza is rather small and over taken by the TV which leaves no room for anything else. The lamps are in bad shape with burned or melted areas on them and the switch is not the usual easy accesible switch most hotel have (I burned my finger looking for the switch to cut it off). The bathroom area is where the worst update is needed, the toilet and shower are in a small tight closet and the sink/vanity is open with no privacy. The hotel cut corners by only having the cloth shower cutain and not having the cloth and vynal combo, which while taking a shower if your arm touched the cutain it would cling to you and make it hard to shower. I was also burned by the shower due to the temprature fluctuating from burn to freeze and I wasn't touching the handle. The room as I said is a large room which could look so much better if someone was to invest in this hotel and do a remodel and bring it up from it's motor cout standard to a more comfortable HOTEL standard. My wife and I while enjoying the view of the city below when the sun started to set we had to close the cutains completly because they didn't have sheers where you could keep the natural light coming in. All I can say is if you're looking for a room with a view and nothing else this is your place but forget about comfort and class.

My sister and I had a wonderful experience with Park Vista. We chose the mountain view verses the city view and we couldn't have been happier. We didn't want to stay in Gatlinburg due to all of the tourism, however we were very pleased to see that this hotel was tucked just far enough away, in the mountians. I can't say enough about how beautiful the inside of the hotel is. They also have a restaurant in the lobby, so you don't have to go into Gatlinburg to find a place to eat. I would definetely recommend this hotel.

The view was gorgeous! The rooms were not as fancy as the rest of the hotel. The hotel was clean and the lobby was beautiful. I expected more from the rooms. The hotel looked fancy, but the rooms looked like any other standard hotel/motel. I would not pay full price for this hotel. You can get equivalent accomodations for a much lower price, without the view.

My son and I had adjoining rooms that were huge, and extremely clean. This is one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in for a long time. The swimming pool area is grand. The playground area is wonderful. The adirondack chairs sitting where you can watch the kids play is superb. The restaurant was delightful. I have absolutely nothing but praise for my stay at Park Vista. Staff were personable and friendly. Parking is abundant. It is a beautiful hotel in a glorious setting. Our room door was left open one evening while we were in the pool for 3 hours and nothing was taken. I was shocked, but not surprised.

A very fun family trip. It's away from the main strip and therefore is quite relaxing. The view is breathtaking! This is where we will stay next time we come.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. One thing I particularly like about it is it's just outside of all the congestion of Gatlinburg, overlooking it all. The trolley also swings by the hotel so you don't have to drive to the downtown area, which is great because sometimes its pretty hard to find a parking spot. The only downfall of it was the trolley stopped making rounds to the hotel at around 9:30 or 10:00pm, so you'd have to get a taxie if you stayed past then, unless you just walked (probably 1 mile from the strip). Great hotel overall!

This was a very clean room. I really think the Park Vista not only met but exceeded my families expectations. We will definately go back their soon. Dont believe any bad reviewers you must see for yourself that Im telling it like it is. the Park Vista offers great food,recreation,and rest, all in one stop. We also loved the trolley service every half hour into downtown for 50cents each way. I have been coming to The Smokeys for 30 years and this was my best stay yet. Please dont change a thing Park Vista. Thanks for everything. The Smiths

My family & I stayed here for a long weekend getaway. IT WAS HORRIBLE! First, I made the reservations directly thru the hotel's front desk, they failed to mention there was a youth convention then and upon checking in. Every night the hotel allowed the youth's (1,000 +) between 10:30-11:30pm to yell and cheer from all (15 - 360 degree) balconies and lobby and drop paper airplanes. My children were in bed & trying to sleep by 9pm. When we called down to the front desk we were just blown off each time and told don't worry the youth have to be in their rooms by midnight. The front desk would never give us the youth's contact info. Finally one night I went downstairs and started asking the kids and they pointed out their leader (who was in the middle of everything). I spoke over 30mins. with him and he said that they were following the rules the "HOTEL" had set for them. Everything they were doing was approved in advance by the hotel's management. My question is where is the respect for all the other PAYING guest?? The pool was very filthy, gobbs of stringy hair was constantly floating & hitting us. Some of the youth jumped over a fence around the top pool into the bottom pool w/ adults from their group looking on. Several boys were continously opening the outside doors b/c it was fun to watch the steam roll out, therefore freezing the pool area. On Sat. morning the hotel was out of water, which the restaurant stayed open. We brushed our teeth w/ bottle water we brought. The GM was never available, on the day of our departure I demanded her, she only offered to mail us a coupon to come back! ARE U KIDDING?

The trolley service into town was helpful since there's not alot of parking spots in town. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean. Place was quiet. Views were great. Saw wildlife in the immediate area.
