My experience here was great. I only stayed one night, but from the moment I walked in to when I walked out I felt warmly welcome. The staff was friendly and helpful. Nothing went wrong - wireless internet worked great, TV was fine, bathroom was small but all that I needed, and breakfast was delicious. It is well within walking distance of any sights in York and easy to find. I would highly recommend this hotel.

A trip to my home townEasy location, within 5 minutes of the Minster, clean, lovely lads running this small hotel - I only had half the items on the breakfast menu and still couln't get through it all! Sent out for a curry for me as well. Highly recommended.

Park view guest houseVery nice friendly welcome, parking very handy. Ten minutes stroll from city centre, but quiet at night. Basic no frills accomadation, small shower but adequate. All you need really and good for price.

Delightful stay! The best part of our stay at Park View Guest House, was the adorable, friendly young man that greeted us and looked after us! His personality outshone our short, but pleasant stay! Our room was facing a main road, which worried us at first, but traffic completely died down from nightime till morning.

The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The hotel was a short walk away from the city centre. The on site parking was a tremendous bonus.

a Day in Yorkaccommodation was very clean, tea/coffee facilities in room. Bedroom was quite small, en-suite was very small. It was suitable to spend a night in but wasn't a room that I would have wanted to spend too much time in. Very handy for getting into York centre.

Five minute walk from centre of York and easy to find. Very friendly welcome. Room was small but clean and well decorated. En-suite also a bit small but adequate. Didn't have time for breakfast at the guest house but had a very good meal and was made welcome at the family run restaurant which is about ten minutes walk away.

Arrived late as we had been to the races in Beverley in the daytime, very accommodating staff. Easy to find and only a short walk into York city centre.Only saw two members of staff during our stay, both were extremely friendly and very helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Would definately stay here again.

Chris and Margaret from SouthamptonWe received a courtesy call the day before to check on our estimated time of arrival,And any other requests that we may have had.On arrival we were met with a warm and friendly welcome, our bags were carried upstairs. The room was very clean and there was everything needed for our stay. The location is only a short walk to York city centre shops, restaurants and York Minster.Breakfast was full English and continental. The staff were very friendly and helpful.Off road parking is available for guests. We would recommend this guest house anytimeAnd would not hesitate to stay there again.

Probably the last time to stay there..Location wise, near to Nothing!.. but they do have a free parking space behind.Price wise.. there are cheaper ones aroundRoom wise.. Basic room, not one that you will look forward to going back. The heater was not working. The shower heater was inconsistent. Wiring was not done probably. Dining wise.. Of all the BnB I have been to, probably one of the worst. But the Dining hall looks great!Staff wise.. they are quite helpful but cant communicate direction that well.Overall I think its a little over priced.

Ok if just passing throughMy room was so pokey I couldn't even sit on the toilet !!Also, on the info it should 24 hours reception but it was one of those guest houses where the patron moans if you arrive after 9.30pm. - if I lived closer to york and didn't have a 3 hour drive to get there I wouldn't need to stay in a hotel, so if they run a guest house they should expect late arrivals.

good, cheap and friendly.Good location and easy to find. Room was overall ok, bathrooom clean etc. However, the bedding overlays had a few stains on them and should be either cleaned more regularly or replaced.Staff were very friendly and helpful, allowing me to use their computer for the internet.

cold shower!!The accomodation was extremely clean and tidy throughout. Other guests were friendly and considerate as were the staff. The only complaint I would have about te accomodation was the fact that the water in the shower was cold all day on saturday, so both showers morning and night were cold. We did inform the owner and we were offered no recompense for this which I found slightly disappointing when we had paid £60 a night , which i thought would have included hot water!!!

A trip to YorkWe were a mixed group - two female grandparents with teenagers (one of each sex). The hotel was very conveniently positioned for attractions in York, but the biggest plus of all, from the children's point of view, was the wi-fi in every room!Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and of a good quality. We enjoyed our stay.
