The hotel was just what we were looking for. Secluded, no beach front salesmen, no busy street sounds or boom boom from the local disco. We loved the locals, why visit Mexico to be surrounded by Americans! We had a massage and it was great! So a little of the let down, it was on a really steep hill that was not easy to walk up you really need to use the tram, which is slow. It is kind of hard to get reservations to the Italian restaurant and the food could be better but wasn't bad. The buffet is midclass but again not bad. The snacks are junk food nachos hot dogs and hamburgers. The pool closes at 8, which could be early for some. The part I liked the least was the fact that they approach you to try to get you to sit through the time share, we managed to escape her but she called the room at 9 am the day of our 11 am appointment to ask if we were going to have breakfast. All of that being said I was aware of these things and expected them. I would return i liked the location and seclusion and emersion with locals. It was beautiful.

Hotel has a very beautiful site. The room we got with a view of the bay and the tram was very nice. The entertainment is very minimal at this hotel. I thing because of the availability of the many clubs near by and on the other side of the bay downtown Acapulco. A very nice place to relax at the pool and enjoy the all-inclusive drinks and veg out.

My husband and I along with our 10 years old son stayed at the hotel partly because it was all inclusive. When you travel with kids it is a lot easier. My son ended up eating mostly cereal for breakfast and dinner. The food is too much to the local taste, there are varities but not quality. La trattoria restaurant is the best bet for a relaxing dinner. Bahia restaurant is always too loud with the kids yelling and banging the cutlery. This hotel mostlly cateres to the time share guests which are 99% Mexicans. What we resented the most about the hotel was the fact that the whole time the staff is looking for new people to pitch the time share to. It was our VACATION but we ended up having to try to escape from the staff who would fallow us up the elevator to the restaurant or the beach to try to do their sales pitch. The unfortunate desing of the hotel makes you have to constantly take the tram or elevators to get around. Not an easy facility to get around. On the last day, there was a huge trantula on our door. It took lots of staff, 2 phone calls, and about 45 minutes to get it off of the door. This place is not at all suitablel if you are looking for a nice, relaxing, pampering vacation.

I have had one of my best romantic weekends Great ocean view and amenities as well as nice neighborhood Only problem is that the fitness center that charges 5 usd more is just for amateurs due to the basic equipment and space and taking the quality of the hotel surely is bad first to charge extra amounts for such a little and bad equipped gym

The staff at the front desk demonstrated poor quality customer service. When we checked into our room, we discovered three light bulbs were burned out. After reminding the front desk three times, the bulbs were finally replaced. On one full day we did not have hot water in our room. After reminding the front desk four times we finally got hot water late the next day. On two different mornings, we awoke to Rat Droppings in our room. We spoke to the staff at the front dest, guess what, they could care less. Extremely poor place to spend a vacation or more over our anniversary. Not For Me

The Park Royal hotel was very comfortable. The room was cozzy. The fact to have a closet in a separate area was very good for me. Being in a private area, but not far of the downtown gives you the assurance of security.

Me and my husband stayed there over the 4th of July weekend 2008. Everything from the staff to the view and the food was excellent. The staff was very friendly upon check in and also at dinner and breakfast. Always there when you need them. The view of Acapulco bay from this hotel is spectacular. The hotel is undergoing some remodeling and construction but it did not get in the way or bother us at all because it was in a separate building. The hotel is equiped with it's own private beach and two pools one with a swim up bar which was great. Cool activities. The ONLY thing to watch out for are the sharks in the lobby when you enter. They have a separate staff that is tasked with trying to sell you memberships in some sort of vacation club. Unless you're interested in spending thousands of more dollars on this vacation, just say NO to any presentations that they may offer you. Also, at the airport in those tourist shops they will offer you discount tour tickets as long as you attend a 60-90 minute seminar at another hotel. Don't bother, the tickets we purchased for the tours were not valid, they told us the wrong days to go. You can enjoy everything about this hotel and of Mexico as long as you don't let them convince you to buy any memberships. Even though we attended this hotel's presentation and were upset at how pushy they were, the friendliness of the rest of the staff made me want to return to this hotel and to Mexico. We didn't want to leave!!

Park Royal in Acapulco is BEAUTIFUL! The food was great, except for dinner at the Bahia restaurant wasn't so tasty, but there are other restaurants to eat at that are great. Breakfast at the Bahia restaurant was excellent though and I loved the omelette bar. Drinks were excellent too. Of course, tipping the wait staff every now and then will get you better quality. Our room was awesome. Very big with a large balcony and view of Acapulco Bay. Very clean too. I'm sure it helps to tip the housekeeper. ;) The pool right off the ocean was great. We also liked the private beach on Acapulco Bay, although the water was a little rough. I could go on and on here. I LOVE Park Royal and highly recommend it. Anyone who would give a negative review of this place definitely has bad taste.

My husband and I, and our two (mid-twenties aged) grown children decided at the last minute to pool our resources and find a week's vacation some place exotic. The hotel was a family-friendly hotel with everything included -- meals, drinks (including basic alcoholic drinks) and tips. I would say that it certainly wasn't luxurious, but we decided we really liked that because it was more relaxing and casual (we didn't have to dress up for meals, etc.). This place had so much we were looking for: private beach, several pools, lush landscaping, and a fun tram that runs up and down the hillside. We wished that water sports like wave-runners, para-sailing, or even motor boat rides were offered. We heard that these things could be arranged by the hotel staff, but they weren't on-site or free, so we never bothered. They had small kayaks for free, but we chose not to do that. Unfortunately, the on-site workout room cost money, and so we chose not to pay for those services. We had read all the reviews before we left and they really helped. We took $100.00 in single American dollar bills and did tip $1-2.00 for service at the bar, at the restaurants, to the doormen, cab drivers, etc. This was not required, but we did get great service; however, I must say, I think we would have gotten just as good service without tipping since each time we had a different person, so their recognizing us and then giving us better service because we tipped just didn't happen; we were more than happy to tip to help the employees out a little. The private beach was terrific -- we really loved that. We used both swimming pools, but especially loved the bigger one with the swim-up bar under the thatched hula roof! There is always something to eat; if one of the restaurants is closed -- another is open, and always a snack bar, at least. The buffets in the main restaurant were good, better some meals than others. Breakfast was fantastic, but the dinner buffets a couple of nights were just so-so, and t

Park Royal Acapulco All Inclusive, Acapulco, MX Our check in went very smoothly. The staff at the Park Royal were very exceptional, good food, very clean resort. We loved the comfort & convienence of our room, our balcony overlook the bay. We had problem with our cable TV one night and the staff were there in seconds my wife joked and said they must have been outside our door. We like that it was located off the main tourist area. They make a great Bloody Mary, Pinacolada's.

The only dissatisfaction was the air conditioning. The hotel lobby and Restuarants were very hot.

The park Royal was not a nice stay. The house keepers stole money from the room and the staff decided not to speek english when we tried to confront them about the matter. The hotel is set back in a quite location, but the constant loud spanish annoucements and music by the pool made it hard to relax. The food had no variety and was awful. I would not sudggest this hotel to anybody.

The Park Royal has some nice features, like the swim up bar, good food, bed room was a pretty good size, unfortunaly the hotel did have some upsets, for example the bed was uncomfortmal, there was no extra sitting in the room, once the resturants close you can not call room service for a glasses of water or anything. The hotel had nothing to do after 7pm. No one speaks english there. So if you don't speak spanish its not good for you to go there. Location of hotel is far away from local bar, resturants, etc. You have to take taxi. I would not recommand this hotel for a couple which is looking to party.

The Park Royal was a nice hotel, the rooms were neat and clean, though the bathroom was a little small. The hotel is a little isolated from the rest of the other hotels and it has its own privater beach so it is quieter. The food choices are good but very limited and the snack bar needs a little work. The pool and pool bar were great. Overall I had a good time.

For what we paid, it was worth the money. I would rate this one a 4 star. In the evening all there was to do at the resort was eat dinner, no lounge, music or theme parties. Will return back to Acapulco, however will stay at the Fairmont Princess Acapulco. That is a Fabulous Resort. Acapulco itself was very nice and we did have a great time.
