Parking at the PlazaThe hotel is centrally located with easy access to shops and restaurants.The room was fine and very clean. Breakfast was until 10.30 and not a minute over!Parking was a pain - there is a valet service but you have to give 30 minutes notice and we had to wait another 25 minutes for the car's return!!

very good indeed and excellent value for money with the late rooms discount. There was a moment at the beginning when I wondered about the staff but they redeemed themselves and had probably had a very bad day. We will certainly stay there again and I will request 318 because it is lovely.

Great if you want to party all night and don't mind paying over the odds, otherwise avoidHotel is shabby and could do with an overhaul, room was alright but wasn't overly clean. There is no double glazing and the noise from the surrounding pubs and emergency services racing along the road was very loud and continued into the early hours of the morning.The resturant area badly needs updating and the breakfast was entirely missable.Will not be staying there again, overall impressions are of a low budget hotel at quality prices.

Could of been better for the moneyThe hotel was nice, but the bathroom was lacking in cleanliness, which seemed to have mould round the bath and tiles. The hotel was really nice but it was in the wrong loction with no parking on site, and was very noisy up until 2.30 in the morning due the the pubs and clubs surroudning it. The rest of the hotel was nice and the breakfast was really good value. Unfortunatly we will not be staying there again due to the lack of sleep we got with it being whee it was

Don't stay here they are terrible!!!We booked twin rooms but was given doubles! Everybody I spoke to there that had booked twin rooms had this very same problem.... From what I can tell they don't even have twin rooms, just doubles?! If they did have twin rooms like they state they have nobody I spoke to had one! Basically if you want to stay here in seperate beds it's not gonna happen! Go else where!

Where do I start! Booked a twin room as i was staying with my brother, how ever we and 10 other people we travelled with was given double beds, room was so tiny. We was on the 2nd floor but there was noise till past 3am from all the people in the night clubs that back onto the building. I booked this hotel on the hope that good money buys quality but I was wrong. A few fancy lights around reception doesn't mean its good so don’t be fooled by its photos.

Park PlazaI booked a superior room for me and my husband for his birthday - nice enoug hotel but the room wasn't anymore special than others we had stayed in before. Spacious and nice bathroom but in need of updating and modernising, not worth the money.

UnhappyBed soft - very old and uncomfortable. No newspaper or gown when promised as part of package. Had to ring reception several times for fruit tray and about the bed. Fruit platter was 2 apples and an orange in a bowl!! Reception of no use with my queries and they put pressure on me to make decisions about resolving issues e.g. whether they should go out to a local shop for a newspaper when they forgot or down to another hotel for a bed board!Parking was not discounted as promised as reception said the machine had been taken away - cost me more than it quoted on website. again no help from hotel So very fed up after the trip - will never go back again or trust laterooms descritpions of what hotels will provide. It was not an executive room.

Bad experienceI chose the Park Plaza as it had a good reputation, the room was tiny and very very noisey. For the price I paid for a room only I could of got somewhere nicer and cheaper with breakfast included. Also no parking you have have to leave your car in a NCP Car Park for a additional £14.00 you would expect a little discount on the car park

couples weekendpurpose of the trip was that my girlfriend and i were going to see the dizzee rascal and the prodigy at the trent arena (awesome, but thats another story!). we wanted somewhere reasonably priced in a convenient location. The park plaza did not disappoint on any front - very modern hotel about two minutes walk from market square and ten-fifteen minutes from the arena. large room and bathroom, very comfortable stay, would reccommend

Good staff but average hotelsEven though we booked a superior room it didnt feel like it. The bed and furnishings were okay but the room was rather small. However the room was clean. However their were milk pots out of date and there were only a couple of brews worth of tea/coffee making facilities. The shower gel and shampoo were both almost empty in the bathroom.On the positives the hotel was stylish and quiet in your own room. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times.
