Date of Stay: January, 2009

My husband and I stayed her when we needed a place due to our early AM flight. It was a nice hotel, very updated and class, however it was winter and snowing and unfortunately the heater was one that we are to turn on when we get there, and it took a long time to heat up and was extremely loud throughout the night as it kicked on. I am not a picky person and have stayed several places over seas etc. but for the ptice iw ould expect the room to be warm and the heater to be alittle better quality so it didn't keep me up at night, especially in MN the heater is going to be needed. other than that it was great, and it should be said by husband did not hear the heater because he brought ear plugs, good advice! Nice in all ways otherwise.

Location was mostly convenient for the places we were visiting. No continental breakfast, maid service was bad. Hotel was ok - not very family friendly with no continental breakfast, no microwaves, no fridges. Housekeeping staff did not speak English, so was difficult to request extra towels, coffee, glasses. Housekeeping did not make up room after first night - I suspect that the housekeeper placed thedo not disturbsign on the door so she didn't have to make up room.

The hotel room had a view of the parking lot in the back and some industrial size air conditioning units at a nearby (i think) shipping company. Staff on the night I checked in was not very friendly.

I was disappointed by the lack of courtesy or friendliness of the staff. They never said anything remotely friendly, like enjoy your stay with us, etc. The ice machine was broken and even though they said they would send a repairman, it wasn't fixed in the 4 days we stayed. They said to go to another floor. We were so put out with their behavior; we didn't dine at our hotel. The Perkins Restaurant nearby was excellent. They appreciated our business and gave us quality service and the food was great. The room was okay, somewhat dingy, but, clean.

I was very reluctant about this hotel and was suprised and dissapointed. Staff was great housekeeping was very good but did not fill my request for towels,twice I asked the front desk. Liked the lounge, drinks were weak but server/bartender was friendly.I asked about the free breakfast buffet,none,$6.95+tax mostly cearl and juice concentrate,that was highly to sweet,fruit and toast was available with bagels, waffles,ceral,sausage links and patties,bacon the basics it was okay.A lot of noise above me and next door,I was on the third floor. Overall 3/5.

Geared more toward the business trip than the family get away. They do have a pool, but no continental breakfast. The breakfast buffet is a bit spendy for a family. I wouldn't stay here again on vacation, but would definately stay if in the cities for business.

We stayed here on our first trip to Minneapolis. Beautiful hotel, clean room, comfy bed and nice staff. We had children with us 5 yrs and 8 months, so not too much for them to do but we were busy at MOA and around town. Pool was nice and warm, hot tub was nice but seemed like it needed to be vacuumed out on bottom? Staff wasn't willing to offer any extras though, so no real opinions on them, but pleasant enough on check in/out. LOTS of construction coming in so hard to get to at this time. GPS had hard time finding weird way into area. Otherwise in good location for getting around Minneapolis, nice quality for the price and driving distance good for most common destinations.

Room was unbearably smokey. This is the first hotel I've stayed in in years that wasn't non-smoking. I have nothing against smokers or smoking, but we could barely breathe because it stinks so much.

Considering the price I paid for the room, I thought the place would be a dump. The rooms are very nice. They kind of have more of a business person atmosphere. The pool was small and the hot tub was tiny. Location was ok. Great location if one is very familiar with finding locations in Minneapolis--right next to interstate. I would stay there again if interstates were more familiar.

The Park Plaza had a great room and very comfortable bed. All i was looking for was a great night sleep and my wish came true. The bed was huge and i slept perfectly.

The swimming pool was nice. The room was not very clean and needed updated. The tub and sheets had hair on them and the rug needed cleaned. The room itself was not very clean and was in need of an update. The restaurant was a little bit on the expensive side for a family of four but the pool facilities were great.

The staff was very helpful in planning our New Years Eve dinner. The hotel is very beautiful and is close to the airport, skiing and the Mall of America. Overall, two thumbs up!

the most comfortable desk chair ever! Nice large room, Bath and Body works soap, lotion, shampoo in bathroom. Comfy bed. Horrible view, purple spot lights right out window, but curtains that closed all the way

Good location for the airport and an airport shuttle. Also a MOA shuttle for the shopper in the group. We asked for a room on an upper level floor and even tho the hotel was fully booked the front desk person was able to give us a room on the 7th floor out of 8 floors. It was a handicapped accessible room which would not have been our choice for a room but it was acceptable. The hotel has an inviting bar area. The swimming pool area has nice windows but it does not have a hot tub.

"Overall this was a nice hotel. It's a little confusing to access from the Interstate but not too bad. The ice machine on our floor (8th) was broken during our 3 day stay and the other floors were hit and miss. Seems more of a business oriented hotel, but it was very quiet and the room was nice."
