The hotel had a helpful staff at the front desk. My room was a bit tired and worn. The hotel decor was a little wonky! The price was high expensive for the quality of the room and without breakfast was not worth the price.

Hotel was modern and clean. Staff very helpful. Restaurant slightly overpriced but definately among the best meals we had in Hungary. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. At first they would not honor the free buffet travel website said we would get but i showed them my paperwork and then they honored it, so bring proof. The tourest areas are within walking distance (alot of walking but we love that) but the people are NOT friendly. Don't expect common courtesy and manners and you won't be disappointed. Tourists are oblivously an annoyance there, in restaurants, on the street, everywhere. Book your seats if your flying Malev otherwise they will sell your seat and put you on standby, that happened to us.

While limited choice, restaurant and bar food was of high quality. The staff - all of them - could not have been more helpful. Full marks! No language problems. If re-visiting Budapest, would not hestitate to use the Park Plaza Art Otel Hotel Budapest again.

The hotel was perfectly situated the view of Pest spectacular. The people was very helpful and the Breakfast Great! for the value of 12 euros nobody can beat that price in town. My sister and I spent a beautiful time in Budapest due to the location of the hotel we could walk to Pest and the main streets without any problem. Also for the Hotel being in the Buda Side we could visit the Buda Castle on our own spare time. I highly recommend the hotel for my family and friends going to Budapest.

"The Park Plaza Art Otel Hotel Budapest was gorgeous...the fine art collection (Donald Sulton prints) were of fine quality, with high visual impact. The location was wonderful, close to the Pest side by Parliment, and close to attractions on Buda side, Ruda Baths, Castle Hill. The hotel was a wonderful treat, with courteous, professional staff"

This was a hotel that one could enjoy rather than pretend to enjoy because of its ersatz luxuriousness, as with most of the big-name luxury hotel chains. Hotel help were genuinely friendly and helpful rather than merely intensively trained, the feeling of the space was airy and bright rather than boxed-in, the general feeling was of elegant understated ness -- in other words, true elegance.

The art'otel is an essentially modern hotel on the left bank of the Danube in central Buda. It's very conveniently situated for tram and Metro travel, and is within easy walking distance of the historic Castle Hill which overlooks it to the rear. In spite of its location it is nevertheless quiet, thanks to excellent soundproofing. The staff are generally multi-lingual, pleasant and professional, and the standard of housekeeping in the rooms is unusually high. Breakfast is reasonably priced and of excellent quality. Although the hotel appears to be a popular venue for corporate events these were not obtrusive and I would be very happy to check in here again if I should return to Budapest in the future.

Excellent location and very helpful and polite staff! Quiet and clean rooms with great Danube and Parliament views! Very nice art work all around the hotel! Convenient location for the traveler who likes walking but also there are trams passing in front of the hotel and the metro station is within a 5 min walk!

The art hotel in Budapest is in a great location whether you are there for business or leisure. It is within short walking distance of shopping as well as historical interest. The restaurants located around it had a variety of food available and were really good and it wasn't horribly expensive to take a cab to when arriving at the train station.

We were greeted at the desk with a "Happy Anniversary," since I'd e-mailed them a while back, with the reservation request, telling them that it was our 25th. And coming into the room, there was a bottle of red wine and 2 glasses! Everything was wonderful, and if you can, get room 423 - it looks out on the Danube (there's an extra charge for rooms that do that, but if you get up early, as we do, you'll see the sun rise right across the river, behind the government buildings. And it's very special). This was the end of our trip to Europe, and I wanted it to be a "get used to being back in the States" experience for the two of us - we'd gone to B & Bs throughout Italy, for 3 weeks - and, with the hot water coming on right away, the red wine, the excellent eat-all-you-can buffet, and the chance to mingle at the bar the night before with a Hungarian or other beer, it was just right! There are two hotels in this chain in Budapest, and I recommend this one because of everything, including that million dollar view!

Staff was generally rude. The internet prices are outrageous. I stayed at another hotel in Budapest which cost 25% as much and offered free internet. There is free internet in the "business center," but it is a single computer and there's always a line. For the price, there should be free Wi-Fi, or at least cheap Wi-Fi.

We really enjoyed staying at art'otel. You are within walking distance to almost everything. The hotel has nice spacious rooms, but be prepared to get a room without a view of the river. The actual stay was good value for money, but the breakfast was overpriced - why not have breakfast at a cosy café on the other side of the bridge? And if you ask the hotel staff to order a taxi to drive you to the airport, you will get a 'hotel limo' which costs HUF 1.900m more than a normal taxi.

Great hotel. It is close to Castle Hill and is accessible via Tram and Metro. Right next to the Danube River, so it has great views of the Parliament and the Chain Bridge. The staff is pretty helpful. The only downside is that the hotel does not provide free breakfast and charges 12 euros for its breakfast buffet. Since Budapest is an affordable city, you could grab breakfast for much less.
