We were looking for something affordable and somewhat close to the beach. We got that. Had to drive to the beach, but we were expecting that. Clean, small but for the time we spent in the room it was adequate. The photos online make the 2 queen suite look bigger than it is. Would have liked a more separated kitchen/sitting area from the beds. No shuttle to the beach as described. Computer access in lobby not working all week. The pool and breakfast was fine. Few of the staff spoke English. Housekeepers and staff at breakfast had to get another staff member to interpret requests for more towels and syrup. Everyday had to call for more bath towels (only 2 at a time left in room) but housekeeping brought the towels to the room immediately. Overall for the what we paid it was fine.

There was not a view and not close to beach. Clean rooms, friendly staff, would be nice to be close to beach.

Over New Year's 2009 we stayed in a lovely one bedroom, two full bath, two-story suite overlooking the pool, spa and courtyard. The suite has a full kitchen with full-sized appliances and a dishwasher. The living room has a fireplace and a balcony. The comfy couch was a sofa bed for two more people. We found it very safe and comfortable and clean. Everything appeared to be brand new, and one other building on the property was being renovated over the winter. Wireless internet was speedy and easy. Two great quality televisions were also in the suite, one upstairs in the bedroom and one in the living room. The buffet full breakfast was really a treat compared to what other places call breakfast! Yes, there was actual meat! They alternated between sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy. Belgian waffles were great with a beautiful variety of fruits and yogurt, coffee, juices, and tea. Anyone who travels knows what a treat it is to get a good free breakfast without having to drive around. We plan on staying there again any time we go to Hilton Head. The place is a little tricky to find after dark, but so worth it! The bike /hike trail runs right across the edge of the property and they even have bicycles for rent at the property. If you like to stay in places that are a bit away from the busiest parts of Hilton Head, but still centrally located, this IS the place for you to stay.

Rooms are OK, but poorly maintained. Refrigerator barely kept anything cooler than room temperature, and main room light out, and it took repeated calls to front desk to get anyone to even try to fix either (and neither was fixed). Pool is small but generally OK. Jacuzzi not cleaned, filled with leaves and other debris. Breakfast area is a madhouse, even on non-holiday weekdays. Food OK but too few tables, no space between them, and nowhere near enough area to accommodate all the guests. Also got repeated calls from front desk trying to convince us to attend a time share presentation. Tacky.

Enjoyed our trip to Hilton Head, our first time there. Park Lane was convenient to the beaches and all the shopping areas. Clean and quiet provided a much needed get away. Staff were prompt and housekeeping of rooms was great. Would definately recommend to others.

It was nice to have all kitchen facilities in room. Would of been nice to have washer and dryer in room. I would recommend hotel to anyone and would stay there again when in Hilton Head.

I love staying here. Just wish it were a little closer to the beach, but can't really complain about that. The rooms were very clean and I really like the full size kitchen. We're going to bring our daughter back next month to stay a whole week. With the full size kitchen we'll be able to buy and cook our own groceries, which will save so much money from dining out all the time. The price for the quality is spot on. You can tell the staff pride theirselves on the details and cleanliness.

Breakfast was nice; however the our room had some bugs which was a turn off to say the least and the bathrooms size and finish was very sub par. The kitchenette was very nice however and the location was convenient to most activities. Many of the hotels convenience items listed; basketball hoop, lobby guest computer were broken or not in service.

Free internet access and free breakfast. They also have a nice pool area. The rooms look like they require remodeling. The loft bedroom was noisy. The hotel was clean and in a good location. The rooms need to be remodeled. The loft bedroom I felt was noisy. The lobby area was attractive and they served a nice free breakfast in the morning.

Wonderful location and beautiful looking place coming into it. Rooms were disappointing, as they were old, with very tiny bathroom and aged furnishings. An unnecessarily large kitchen had outdated appliances...would have traded for more bathroom space and additional storage for clothing. Small closet as well. Very spacious, but not arranged well...felt more like a studio apartment than a hotel retreat. Grounds were kept well, and the pool looked nice, but it was too cool to swim. Very small, sparsely appointed workout room, so I took it too the beach. Prime location...with easy access to many attractions.

First trip to Hilton Head. Park Lane Hotel is centrally located. Staff was courteous and helpful with travel directions. Rooms were HUGE and had a full kitchen and balcony. Clean appearance and nice breakfast buffet. Great for a weekend getaway.

Comfortable bed. I slept in a kitchen to the sound of barking dogs in next room. The room was mostly kitchen. Half of the bed is in the kitchen so when you wake up, you see a stove. Other guests had barking dogs which was annoying and we were awakened early in the morning by the hotel staff asking us to complete a survey.

We had such a great stay at the Park Lane. My husband and I came as a weekend away and had a super time! The breakfast has so much to choose from, the rooms are so spacious and clean. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. We tried to find something to improve on, but couldn't! It is not on the beach, but they have a shuttle that takes you to and from the beach. This hotel is the best! We'll be back for sure!!!

This was my first visit to Hilton Head Island. I was impressed with the island amenities for activities, accommodations, and food. This is due for the most part because of our stay at the Park Lane. I was impressed by the full service kitchenette, something I didn't realize I was getting. The place was very near to activities we participated in and just enjoyed the morning breakfasts and pool services.

The hotel staff was very responsive, friendly and efficient. The property was in need of repair. The original room had multiple problems although the maintenace staff was quite responsive and moved us right away. During our entire stay there was a sign indicating wet paint on the stairwell. While sitting on the deck we noticed damage on the patio above our room.

Very good breakfast. Maintenance of room/hotel. We have stayed here for 7-8 years. Good location; near a lot of activities and food. Very good breakfast. Good laundry facilities on site. Pool is adequate. Rooms need some attention on the maintenance side (wallpaper tears; broken handle in bathroom). However, considering the price, the hotel is a very good for a family.

The location of Park Lane Hotel & Suite was excellent- - it was less than a 5 minute drive from Coligny Beach and also walking distance to various restaurants and shopping. The rooms were very comfortable and staff was very helpful and friendly.

The staff was very helpful and friendly! Pool area was not always clean, and basketball tennis facility was not working. We enjoyed staying here! The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, plus they are located in a very central area that made you feel secluded while being close to island activities! The room was nice and had plenty of space. They have a very nice full breakfast in the morning! The basketball facility was broken (how easy is it to replace a rim). We wished that they would have sprayed the pool area off.
