Friendly, efficient from the time of arrival. I was very early 10:30 am - non of the usual hassle - check in not until x, a room was made available straight away. Asked for a quiet romm, was allocated one on the top floor and hardly heard any sounds.

This was a great hotel overlooking the river only a couple of block from the train station. Rooms were decent size, bright and modern. I would definitely stay here again. Only issue we had was room was not ready at check-in time and we had to wait about 20 minutes.

Had a very nice stay in general. Just two gripes though - the papers we requested were not delivered either morning and the cost of using the internet is absurd.

Park inn accommodation not up to 3*The location is great, and the reception is fine. You can see where the £5,000,000 renevation has gone but unfortunatley you can also see where it hasn't gone and that was our room, more specificaly our bathroom. The bathroom was very tatty, the sink was cracked and from the 70s, bath panel flakey and the drains couldnt keep up with the flow of water (sink & bath),plus they smelt bad. In all fairness when I complained they knocked the parking off the bill wich was £24, but I got the impression they were rather used to receiving complaints from this area of the hotel. I have put that I would not stay in the hotel again but this is based purely on the room we where in. The hotel overall was quite good and if I could ensure it was one of the renevated rooms I would stay again, just beware you might get an old one!

Loved the location on the river, a short walk from town centre. Comfortable, modern room. There were noisy late-night revelers along the riverfront, though (on a Tuesday night, even), and the elevator's groans were very audible all night, even though we were several rooms away from it. Many good restaurants within easy walking distance. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel.

A swimming pool is always nice. The reception area was 'cold'.

A Good Spruce up!After staying in the hotel many years ago, I wasn't sure what to expect.10 out of 10 for the makeover. What a difference.Congratulations on a well improved hotel. Always with a great location, makes it the perfect hotel for a stopover in York.

Great hotel, excellent location. Paid for a standand room and was given a river view room! Very impressed!

great valueGreat value and very friendly staff. The only thing I would say is that there wasnt enough tea, coffee and milk in the room. The bed was really comfy and the room was very spacious. We could even park the car in the underground parking area for 24 hours for £12.00 which was still cheaper than getting the train. Excellent shower also and very clean.

I stayed for just 1 night and was in a room that had not been modernised. The bathroom badly needed updating. I would like to go again and stay in a room that had been modernised.

Great locationRecommend this hotel for a great location to visit York. We travelled with our 3 month old daughter and couldn't find fault with cleanliness, condition of room or service from staff!

Great location quality hotelOn arrival parking was easy but at a £12 cost per night but so is the rest of York. The receptionist was a great help offering advice on the city and the rooms. We did not eat in the hotel. Would stay again, highly recommended.

A really good location, it is being redecorated but this did not affect us. Nice breakfast, Showers is great. Would stay again

DissapointedVery expensive hotel although from its adverts we were led to believe the rooms were better than they actually were. We were right over looking the courtyard and had to suffer very noisy drinkers, the room was smaller than shown on the advert and did not have the drench showers or room safes as advertised, although the breakfast was a good choice the food was generally cold and the fruit juice was watery. We also paid more for the room than was on the advertised tarrif board in the hotel.Would certainly use a budget hotel in future rather than go back to the Park Inn.

Great breakMy wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights from the 10th of june, we were room only so I cant comment on the food although it looked OK and the dining room was very nice. The hotel is perfectly situated for a short break in York and only 5 mins walk from York station, the refurbishment is very obvious as our room was in perfct condition, with a king size bet which was excellent. In summary we could not fault anything about this hotel and had a great stay. If your looking for cheap good clean accommodarion in York this is the place for you.

Great room and location.I went there on business but for anyone wanting to stay in York it was an ideal location. Room and bed were really top quality- great nights sleep unusual for me. I didn't use the bar or restaurant this time. Good location for exploring York and I never heard any rowdiness or noise.

Park Inn YorkFriendly helpful staff and good accommodation. Only criticism would be the ominous creaking from the cable in the lift - sure it's fine but didn't sound good!
