Park Inn, Telford - good special price, bathroom tatty.Check-in was lightning fast - two signatures and we were on our way to the room. Room was nice enough. No freeview channels on TV - just the 5 standard channels. Bathroom needed a refit - chipped sink, old tiling, unsightly and old taps, shower fitting. Overall it was good for the price we paid though.

Park Inn, Telford July 2009Comfortable, clean hotel with polite helpful staff.Didn't try the spa as we were only there one nightBreakfast was fully self service including coffee from machines - ok, but not really what you'd expect from a 3* hotel. No alternate hot choice to the full English. Although there was cereal, fruit, cold meats/cheese and juice (machine vend).

Rooms at the back are too noisy because of the exract fans from the attached swimming pool. I changed room because of this. Not particularly clean - a lot of grime around light switches. Some of the power sockets not properly secure. Bathrooms shaby. Pool facilities fair. Bar prices set at London levels. Hotel is very much a conference/reception venue so can become crowded for dinner.

Cheap as chips and good for the moneyWe paid £37.50 for a double room for one night, there was plenty of hot water, white bath towels, soap, wimbledon on the tellyI wouldn't say the bathroom was the cleanest I have ever been in nor the bedspread although the sheets were cleanFor the price given my husband used the gym and I used the swimming pool, we thought it was excellent value for money and would happily stay here again

Good value for money. The reception of the hotel, restaurant and lesiure facilities are very mordern and new. The bathrooms in the rooms however are very old fashioned but still very clean. The hotel is idealy located within walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants. Overall very good value for money

Overpriced and datedThe only redeeming feature of this place may well be the gym/pool. Unfortunately I forgot to bring my kit. If you aren't using the gym bypass this hotel - its truly awful. The rooms are disgusting and the decor stuck in the 80s

i booked a double room and ended up with single beds , the bath was dirty , the carpet had all bits on it , the room was very dusty and the bedding was itchy .

Very outdated throughout, toilet flushed about 1 in every 10 attempts! Bed was unconfortable, I sank into it, shower was poor - can't even adjust the shower head, there was only one speed, one knob, which was stiff which meant I was subjected to cold water for 30 seconds and was unavoidable to that the floor got soaking wet through!Only good thing was staff were nice enough and food was average to good, not worth the expense, would only reccomend it if you need to stay there for its location

hotel was first class and staff only too happy to help

I opted for this hotel as it was close to the office and the rates were lower than usual owing to the holiday season. What a mistake. Staff were okay but hardly welcoming and the bedrooms are no better than functional (I've stayed in better B&B's). The public areas are rather grim - the bar is completely unwelcoming and there's a really annoying area with pool table and video machines. Absolutely no atmosphere to the place whatsoever..and this was near Christmas. Didn't include breakfast and based on the evening meal I wasn't tempted to spend the money. It may be convenient for the major offices and employers in the area - and that's clearly what drives the ridiculous rate they usually charge, but that wouldn't be enough to tempt me back again - especially at the usual rate of £99 or more! I've stayed in hotels in Canary Wharf for a few quid more that were twice as good. Sorry, but I'll drive out to one of the much more appealing places a couple of miles down the road, and I'd recommend you do the same. It's not that it's deliberately awful - just no effort made whatsoever and poor value for money.

The check in/out was very smooth, customer service was great, room service was excellent.Room was a bit pricey

I stayed at the hotel on a room only package, that was all i needed. The hotel was very close to where i needed to be in Telford, which is why i booked it. The room generally was very clean and tidy (unlike the last hotel i stayed in !), there was full tea/coffee making facilities and generally was a very comfortable room.

Very easy to find, generally a good hotel although a little dated.

Areal disappointment. Don't judge a book by its cover - looks good on the outside, awful on the inside. Don't waste your money!

Very nice hotel, rooms comfortable and well-decorated. The Leisure club was very nice although the Jacuzzi is very hot!!! Staff pleasant and allowed us to check in early as the rooms were ready. Will definately stay in this Park Inn again, and will try others.

Sad and aging hotel. Well past its prime. Shabby in places. Toilet flush simply worn out in our room. This hotel needs refurbishing.

I stayed in a room suitable for disabled guests. The bathroom was excellent but the room was rather congested for using a wheelchair. If the glass table, standard lamp and one chair were to be removed I would have found it much easier to get around in my wheelchair.

This hotel is overpriced and quality does not compare with hotels that are much cheaper

The breakfast was great. The only real problem if we are picky was that it was always cold in the reception/restaurant as it is near the front door
