Good Hotel for city break whilst not being right in the city

Only stayed one night, everything was fine.

Did what it said on the tinIts an out of town large hotel. Rooms were very shiny and new. Location is a bit limited for things to do - but the hotel was fine. Quick stop over - paid £70 which I guess is fair enough.

trip to the ashes a clean and tidy hotel with a modern feel to it, lovely modern shower and bathroom. We would have no problem at all staying here again.

Not to badSeeing I could have stayed at Holland house for the same price and be in centeral Cardiff.I feel it was poor value for money.

The best aspect of my stay at the Park Inn was the shower.

Great Refurbishment! The hotel has recently been refurbished and looks great. The bedrooms are a real treat. Nice and large with the added bonus or air conditioining. The best night's sleep I have had for weeks! Really liked the huge showers as well. Staff are very friendly, particularly restaurant where I had an excellent dinner. Would recommend this hotel highly. Great value for money.

Very poor welcome to hotel. Was told no family room available (despite confirming at 11.00 am that a cot would be put in the room for our arrival). Had to wait in reception while a room was found -after a 4hour journeywith a 3 year old and a 10 week old baby this was not good! Were offered free breakfast to compensate for mix-up which was withdrawn when a family room was eventually found!

Lovely bright, clean and very comfortable stay at this hotel. Ate in the restaurant on the Saturday evening and the food was very good, bar snacks were very reasonable also. Breakfast was buffet style so you can help yourself to as much/little as you want. All in all a very pleasent experience.

Nicely appointed room - bathrom ceiling had wet patch possibly from shower, but overall clean and comfortable. Reception staff not always as efficient as they might be - I think I was overcharged for two breakfasts!

Highly recommendedWas very impressed with the refurbished rooms. Would recommend to friends & family.

Food not so good - a very limited breakfast for those who don't want a fry-up. As it was, £11-90 was a lot of money for half a bowl of Alpen and a coffee. Evening dinner was OK, although some provision should be made for lone diners when there are coach parties in, so they are not waiting so long for food.

Weekend StayThis hotel met all the requirements I was looking for while attending a family function in the city.Good value for money, clean & tidy

Nothing to complain aboutThe staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and punctual (I asked to borrow an iron and less than a minute later they brought it to me). The rooms were fine and I like the large shower. Considering it's newly refurbished, I thought the main foyer / reception desk / tables & chairs looked a bit dated - but it was serviceable and clean.Good basic hotel - no 'wow' factor but also nothing to complain about. Perfect base for exploring Cardiff.

Food & Service ib barThe only downside was a coffee we had in the bar on teh evening, the service was so slow and the cups so dirty that we decided to eat out for brteakfast. A shame really as there were four of us in two rooms.

Second visitOnly a brief stay ( 1 night) but this hotel maintained hight standardsGreat room, very clean, staff very helpfulonly downside was no internet access so had to find a McDonalds for the wireless connection - but reception dealt with it in civil manner

nice room , shame about the air con!Beautiful contemporary rooms with super king sized bed and spacious double shower. experience spoiled by air conditioning unit pouring water out onto the carpet at 1am (we had to put a container under to catch it and the noise was like a chinese water torture! - being the middle of the night we did not ask to move rooms at that point but they did reduce our bill slightly for the inconveinience of a sleepless night (it was boiling after we switched off the faulty air con and windows dont open!) - oh, electrics faulty on over bed lighting too but all probably snagging details from recent re-furb

Excellent value if on offerVery good value with the special discount. Spa pool was very warm. Hotel is easy to locate but not close to city centre. Plenty of parking. Rooms refurbished - furniture was simple but was adequate for my needs.
