A lovely place to stay, perfect location within minutes walking distance from the peaceful town center and the embarkation stations for boats to vienna and budapest (strongly recommended trips!, excellent breakfast buffet).

friendly staff, and very helpful. even as i dress to run "sir,did you know it snows outside?" location in centrum was ideal. housekeeping was nice "you will check-out today?" "have a safe travel" fashion club was cool!

The Hotel Danube was a very comfortable place. It was my first visit to Europe and I couldnt have picked a better place to stay. The staff was friendly. My room was always cleaned. The location of the hotel was also great. A walk away from many pubs and restuarants, the mall, castles and churches. It indeed was a great place to stay!!!!

Perfectly adequate - if unexceptional - modern hotel in an ideal location (views over Danube, all of old town within easy walking distance, bus station within 100m). Perhaps lacking a little character as yet.

I booked air + hotel Danube through online travel and I paid the trip and the hotel with my Master Card online. When I arrived to the hotel, they asked me for my credit card. I said, I hope you won't charge me again, I paid for it already. When I returned home, they charged me $814 again for the one week stay at the hotel. I called online travel 3 times already, talking to someone in India and they said each time they will send a fax. Every phone call was at least one hour long and when I called the next time, the fax was not send. It's over a month and the issue is still not resolved. I told online travel I want to talk to a supervisor, I am still waiting. If you want to choose this hotel, don't book it through online travel . Get the fair only and arrange the hotel separately.

"This hotel was lovely--really nice facilities, excellent (English-speaking) staff round the clock. They helped us catch a cab to the airport at 4 a.m. with no problem. Only complaint--approx. $7 charge to use the pool--surprising for a posh place like this."
