Date of Stay: June, 2008

I stayed there for a family wedding and the staff could not have been any friendly seen as though we pretty much took over the hotel. They could not do enough for us. The food was excellent too which was an added bonus. The rooms were clean with everything you could possibly imagine having. It's in a great location and you can walk to almost anywhere you need to. I will definitely be returning to this hotel as it is hard to find one quite like this for the price.

Lovely pleasant hotelAfter staying in a revolting apartment via Late Rooms in Edinburgh I did not hold out for much of an improvement but we got a lovely surprise at this hotel. Clean, bright and very very pleasant. The location was great the staff were very helpful and compared to the hell we had stayed in this was heaven!!

The hotel is in a good location with the bus station right beside it and numerous shopping and pubs nearby. The room was large, clean and met all our expectations. The only complaint I would have is that housekeeping came to our room at 8:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning, knocked once and opened the door before we could answer it. I would recommend that you hang the 'do not disturb' sign on your door if you would like a lie in (or privacy). Other than that, I couldn't fault the place.

My husband and I stayed at the Park Inn in Glasgow's City Center for nearly 2 weeks. My husband was there on business, while I was there on holiday. The location was excellent. You can basically walk anywhere and if you do want to take a cab somewhere, the friendly staff at the front desk will call one for you. You are also right next to a major bus station and just around the block from the subway and train station. We stayed in a double room with one king bed. The room was a little small, but large enough that we didn't feel cramped. The wood floors were pretty. The bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping always did a good job. The bathroom was nice.... just had a shower with the "body jets". The fitness room was simple, but had everything I needed. We didn't eat at Oshi, located inside the hotel, but visited the B Bar many times for a light lunch and a pint or two! All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful anytime we needed anything. The free wireless internet was great, although you do have a get a password from the front desk every so often. Everything in the hotel was clean and kept up. We stayed on the 5th floor and our room was down the hall from all the other rooms, so noise was never an issue for us. We would stay at Park Inn again with no questions asked. We were there for 2 weeks and that's a long time to (st lest to me) to stay in a hotel room. There were no ice machines or vending machines, but that really wasn't a problem. Stay there!

What no wifi?I chose this hotel for its central location and the fact it had free wifi. However when I arrived they told me that the wifi service was out of order and would fixed "some time next week?". Why not get it fixed immediately? I ended up spending hours in the nearby bus station cafe using their wifi link. But the room & public areas are nice and they have hairdryers, irons & ironing boards in all rooms which is great.

Hotel good value for moneyI stopped in this hotel for 4 nights and I had no problem with the room itself. The staff seemed friendly but they do state the have a gym, however this is a small room with 5 pieces of equipment that half are not even working. So not really for big health fanatics. I thought the food in the bar was a little too expensive for what you got and the service was slow, also the breakfast would be only worth it as part of your package. It costs nearly £12 and now of it was that special. The room and the facilties in the room was really good and I would say that if you are staying over for only a few nights and have breakfast included then this hotel is worth staying at. I was room only basis and there are some really nice places to eat in and around the hotel, that are much better value for money and quality.

The decor in the room was very unattractive (olive green carpet and pink and lilac striped wallpaper) and although the bathroom was obviously very expensive when fitted, it was poorly maintained and cleaned as the edge of the shower tray and edges of the tiles were covered in mildew. A little disappointing for what looked like a sharp city centre hotel from the photos online.

An older hotel which has been refurbished. We were offered a large room which had the bed on a mezzanine floor and a living area on the bottom floor; 2 TVs; excellent position; excellent breakfast. Good value for money. Would stay there again. We paid 3 times as much to stay in a hotel in Edinburgh - admittedly it was more luxurious but tiny rooms - would rate the Park Inn Glasgow above the Edinburgh hotel.

Park Inn ReviewFirst impresion of the hotel was good, very nice reception and bar area. Staff were welcoming.Rooms a bit shabby for a 4 star hotel, 1 of my room windows did not shut, the back was off the remote for the tv so the batteries kept falling out, the bathroom was disapointing with broken tiles and dirty looking, the sink area was all worn and tatty. Excellent shower. Room service ok although didn't bring the full order even although there was a tray charge and I got charged fopr the full order. I paid around £65 for a double room so overall not too bad. Lots of noise in the hallways at 5am not sure what was going on. The hotel is in a good location just across from the cinema, resteraunts and the walkabout pub. The spa was shut for some reason so couldn't use the facility, very disapointing. I would stay again as long as the price is around £60 - £65 per room and as long as the spa was open. Steven

The hotel was ideally located for the city centre and within easy walking distance from the train station. First night we had a meal in the Oshi restaurant which we found was lovely food and great service. By using the website 5pm.com, where we booked the meal prior to our visit, we received a free bottle of wine with our meal.
