Good but could do with some improvementsFirstly got redirected via the Major Building works on St Davids shopping Centre & new John Lewis building next to the Hotel. Room OK but key card failed to register on two seperate occassions also noticed some of the bathroom fittings are nt finished off that nicely.Fairly pleasent stay with lot of things happening in Cardiff its very good location once the Developments are finished. Staff are good and well mannered.

Imagine a funky premier inn thats what this hotel is. Very good location, a bit pricy but would recommend and stay there again.

Noisy RoomWe stayed in room 104 and both the air conditioning and noise from (machinery?) in the room above kept us awake all night, Reception promised to look into the cause and did not charge us for breakfast to make up for our inconvenience. They suggested that if we stay there again we should ask for a room at the other side of the hotel. The hotel should rectify the problem quickly as other people could have the same problem!!

Everyone was very friendly, but the service was spotty (would have to call multiple times before getting an answer from either room service or front desk). It's a great location for seeing the city (5-10 minute walk to Cardiff Castle), and very convenient to Cardiff Central Station, but it's also right across the street from the arena, so it can be very crowded and noisy depending on what's going on. Wi-fi is available but expensive. Room was by no means unlivable, but it wasn't spotless either (funny smell in drains, dust on surfaces, etc.)

Perfect location for the international arena and very close to the city centre for shopping. Check in was delayed by their computers being down but staff very efficient with their paper print outs! Breakfast was nothing exciting but filled a hole! Would recommend it to others for location.

Great Hotel, Clean, Modern, FriendlyGreat hotel and picked up a great deal.Hotel was clean and tidy.Only fault was that there is a fair amount of construction work going on right next to the hotel which makes it difficult to locate the hotel. May also be noisy as it is practically on the doorstep.Can't comment on food or room service as only stayed for one night so didn't experience them.

This is an upscale hotel, well located between the Cardiff Central and Cardiff Queen Street Rail stations (easy walking distance to either rail station). It is also very close to the central business district. There appears to be a lot of construction going on in this area. The hotel staff were professional and responsive. The rooms were clean, spacious and up-to-date. We enjoyed eating at O'Neils and at the Prince of Wales, both of which are a short distance away.

Only basic t v coverage and the local bbc news was for the london area and we were in the capital city of wales!!! We did not have a welsh weather forcast, only london!!

Arrival to departureDon't be putoff by the drab exterior of this hotel - never has the saying "never judge a book by its cover" been more apt. On walking through the entrance, I was pleasantly surprised by the fresh and trendy looking interior. On arrival, the check-in staff were very friendly and welcoming which was also a good sign. My room on the 3rd floor overlooked the reception area which was a nice touch. I found the room to be well-equipped, functional, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom looked modern and the room and bathroom were also very clean. Checking out was also a painless experience. Overall, good value for money and I am happy to recommend this hotel.

Bath water cool. Basin water hot enough to scald. Bath plug not easy to use - tilt - when not seen before. Basin tap did not hold water long enough to shave.

Good room apart from the builders working on the new John Lewis store starting their drills at 0700hrs and not stopping all day!! Also, the room was too hot to close the windows so that you couldnt hear the builders.

Location is excellent. There was some refurbishment works going on but didn't cause any disruption. I thought £14 for breakfast was very overpriced, especially if you are like myself and only want a bowl of cereal and a cup of tea in the morning. Needless to say I didn't opt for the breakfast. Room was clean, nicely decorated and basic reminded me a little of a [another hotel] which you only pay half the price for across the road. Overall hotel was nice, staff were helpful but it didn't whoo me!

Was unhappy that someone entered our room at 5am on Saturday morning. Spoke to duty manager who advised that not possible as it was not recorded on the computer and i couldnt have shut the door properly! The door (room118) did not seem to lock which i also queried.We also fouond the hotel very noisy and were not advised of the building work in progress

Great City Centre locationVery well situated opposite the Cardiff International Arena and close to public transport links.The hotel is spotlessly clean and the recent refurbishment impressive. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Park Inn Hotel - Bring back Jury'sHaving stayed at this hotel when it used to be Jury's and rated the facility as a good 4 star, I have to say that I was disappointed with the Park Inn. The reception was austere and non-functional (insuficient seating) and the stairways were unusable owing to the overpowering smell of fried food. The room had no air conditioning and the despite asking for a quiet room we were overlooking a building site which came to life at 7.30am. We won't be going back to this hotel again

Room environmentVery hot weekend, and I was expecting air conditioned room, as stated on Park inn website. None available, as hotel full, and very few rooms are in fact air conditioned. Upgraded to executive room, which wasn't adjacent to vents as first room was, but temperature was 28 centigrade all night. I will not return except possibly in winter. Nice bed.

Perfect for Millenium ArenaGreat location, limited onsite parking but offsite parking close by and incuded in roomrate. Breakfast OK, bar snacks OK, no bottled water in room and an empty room minibar?? Even at Laterooms better booking rate of £175/night the room faciities could have been better, room service finished at 10.00pm

Not worth the money at £145.00 for a night with no Breakfast!!!!Very poor value for money - inside room overlooking front reception area; no fresh air only AC; no breakfast included in the price and at £10.00 per person per breakfast not value for money. Price of drinks were expensive although it was for normal branded goods, nothing exceptional or exciting!!

Excellent well-priced hotelBooked this hotel to see War of the Worlds at the CIA next door, so booked it for convenience more than anything. However we were very impressed. The staff were brilliant, the room was large, spotless and comfortable; the food very good. Cannot really fault it, excpet to say that the bed - although very large - gave us both backache!
