Small clean and functionalWe were allocated two small rooms (one had about 9 inches between the end of the bed and the wall). We thought the rooms were clean and functional, although one room lacked a power point near a mirror and a bedside lamp didn't work. - Suitable for a short stay.

Don't settle for room numbers 217, 317, 417 etcIt is difficult to decide whether thsi is still Landsdowne Place or The Park InnPaid £95 for 'Standard Double with Queen size bed and breakfast.' The room we were given was the smallest available and we demanded to have it changed. Don't settle for any of the rooms which end in 17 as they are all the smallest ones. We had 217 and my friend's were given 417 and it was their wedding night! The breakfast was fair to middling and not worth the £13.95 per head. On the plus side we left a digital camera which reception found and we were able to collect it.

Oh. My. GodWHen I arrived there were 2 parties going on and I was standing on reception for 15 minutes waiting to check in. Once in my room there was no soap and the kettle didn't work. After I had been out and returned to the hotel I was desperate for something to eat and - even though they advertise 24 hour room service - I was told there was no room service.I am appauled that I spent over £100 on somewhere so shoddy and badly run. AVOID at all costs!!!!!!I shall NOT be returning.

Park inn reviewOverall a fantastic hotel, good staff, great location, if there was something to be picky about, it would be the fact that the website offers a hairdryer in the room, and also in the room, it is instructed in the hotel info, there is a hairdryer in the room, when calling reception, we were informed, that the hotel does not offer a hairdryer in any rooms, considering my girlfriend didnt pack one due to this info, was a little annoying,But other than that would defiantly stay again.

Lacked the nice touchesThe size and quality of the room was excellent. However there was no chest of drawers in th eroom to put the clothes, only hanging space, and the drawer on the desk was broken. One curtain had come away from the rail and was difficult to draw. The attention to detail that could have been shown were things like the provision of bubble bath, biscuits with tea and coffee, and the use of the spa facilties as part of the price, all things you would expect of a 4 star hotel. I also noticed staff "discussing" issues in a heated way in front of customers.

I would recommendNice hotel - nice and easy for seafront - not too noisy apart from the seagulls - front rooms have good sea view. Decor is very nice - boutique style. I would stay there again.
