good value for money!we stayed in this hotel for 3 nights on arrival the staff were friendly and helpful the room was very clean and well decorated but very compact so if are staying make sure you pack a fan as the room can get very warm. And the breakfast was good but not worth the price. Overall it was a nice stay and with very good links to city centre and would stay again

wonderful, quirky hotel with a distinctive style of decor.Very friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. Quiet room despite being so close to the city centre.Very good breakfast selection , served with a smile and no sense of being rushed.

Good Location, Good RoomWas a little concerned upon first sight of the hotel as the outside and the entrance looked a bit shabby. Internally though the hotel is ok and the room we stayed in was very good with a massive bed although the bathroom was small, can't really get two in there. The location is good, opposite the arboretum park, very close to Trent University and only about 10 mins walk from the centre of Nottingham. Served well by the Tram network if you're coming from Nottingham Station, just jump on the tram and you're there 4 stops later (hotel 3 min walk from the stop). I would use the hotel again for the price it was at. (gave 4 stars for the food cos this review requires you to fill in the field, but didn't eat there so opinion not valid!).

nice surpriseOverall very good , nice food , friendly people ,good value . Couple of minor niggles , the sink water didnt want to run away and I could not make either of the bedside lamps work , completely forgot to mention these at the time because I was too busy thanking them for a pleasant stay !

Great wee Hotel, Friendly Staff, Quality Breakfast and Free ParkingNice and simple to stay at The Park Hotel - The arboretum across the road is very good. There are some steep steps leading up to the front door, so an infirm person may find this tricky. Apon arrival we were issued room Upgrades which was great!.Free parking a bonus. My only negative comment will be that I couldn't gain access to my Room with the swipe card - and the girl on the desk had quite a few attempts to gain entry. If this was to have happened late at night after a few drinks were had - It could have been difficult.Room was fine and clean - Tv worked - but not much view...I would certainly think about booking this hotel again, although around a 10 min walk to the shops.

Our Stay at The Park HotelThe stay was lovely and we got an upgraded room at no extra charge. The also offered us a parking permit for the duration of the stay and the hotel is very conviniently located on the Tram line. The service was great and the staff very friendly. The room was also beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Would definately stay again!!

Always a good place to stayMy second stay at this welcoming and comfortable hotel, convenient for the City but not to close to the centre. The area is great for evening walks and there is a good selection of restaurants, as well as the hotel's own, which I intend to try another time ... yes, I will definitely book again!

Overnight stay at The ParkVery good value for money hotel situated a little way from the centre of Nottingham but easily accessible from the railway station/city centre via the modern tram system that runs immediately in front of the hotel. Communal rooms --- lobby, restaurant, TV lounge --- plainly furnished but well appointed, bedrooms --- in my case a double to which I was upgraded from a single --- large and spacious with a high standard of furnishing. Full English breakfast charged separately but very good value for money and set me up for the day ahead. All in all, The Park was excellent with the added bonus of being opposite beautiful open parkland for a relaxing stroll if the fancy takes one.

Not too bad for the priceBe aware that the postcode for the hotel is not corrcet if you are using sat nav. Call the hotel in advance for the correct one. I only needed a bed for the night so could not be too critical but you can see that the hotel is trying to be something it is not. They have refurbished the hotel and put in flat screen tv's but the room I had didn't have a bed side lamp so the main light had to be used. Energy saving bulbs were used but on a dimmer switch - the one thing you cant do - so the lights were always flickering unless you had them at full power. Some of the simple touches were wrong or missing. At £36 room only though you can't go to far wrong

Park Hotel is a secret gem.Super friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful and quiet location across the road from park but minutes from city centre. Lovely patio garden. Rooms and reception areas stylish and inviting. Carpet in room a little scary but chandeliers more than compensate. Didn't try the food so can't comment but restaurant looked great.

Convenient location for city centre. Our room was small for twin-bedded, but adequate for a one night stop, clean, tidy and nicely furnished. The cooked breakfast was good and set us up for the day.

A most relaxing spot, in easy reach of the city centreForty-odd years ago, I used to pass this building on my way to school, just up the road, and most lunchtimes, too, when we used to visit the Arboretum across the road. It has become a very neat and tidy small hotel, with well-appointed rooms (although some of the passageways and staircases are still under renovation) in a fascinating old house. A huge bed, and a huge TV were very welcome after a day's work and I will definitely stay here again. Having looked at the menu for the attendant restaurant, and smelled the breakfast, it probably won't be 'room only' next time, either!

OK when travelling through, nice property. Arrived late at night and left after breakfast no probs.Everything clean, everything worked apart from bedside lamps. No hotel parking but stayed on double yellows around the corner on assurance from the proprietor that nothing would happen provided I was gone by 9AM (nothing happened so it was OK).

Parking Myself at the Park HotelAn older facade upon entry belies the small but modern and well fitted out rooms. The creaky staircase was not an issue, and the free wireless internet made the deal even sweeter. Accommodating and friendly staff also contributed to a very pleasant 24 hours in the hotel, a time period I wish could have been a little longer...

Maintenance problemsMy opinion of this hotel is that it needs some serious attention to public areas ie the very steep stairs which we had to negotiate only had one handrail and two of the backs of the steps were missing. Entrance to the hotel from the two sides were quite dangerous due to the fact that there was no handrails and the steps were in very bad state of repair and also the main internal stairs were not safe due to the fact that they shaky when trodden on.

Perfect baseThis is a lovely small, friendly hotel on the edge of the centre of Nottingham. The centre is in walking distance but the tram also passes the hotel. As there is only one tram line you can never get lost.
