A pleasant surprise!I had read previous reviews and was not at all sure that it was the right hotel for me but as my son was camping close by and had booked us visit to Anfield I was prepared to gamble on a bed for the night! What a lovely surprise that the standard was far better than expected...the room was a little dated but was clean and well presented and the bathroom was spotless! I had booked a twin as my daughter was due to travel with me but due to illness had to stay at home. They changed my room to a double with no problems and the receptionist was very pleasant! There was a wedding taking place but as I returned quite late after a night out at the Albert Dock with my son didn't have a problem with the music that was just about winding down. I have to say that the breakfast was superb...well presented...and lots of it!! A great stay overall and I would be more than happy to go back when I'm visiting the area!!

The Park Liverpool is a great choice for those driving around the UK or visiting family members who have cars. It has recently been renovated and was very clean and very pleasant. The dining room is quaint and lovely. The included breakfast was very nice. There is a friendly pub on the premisis too. I would stay there again.

Basic standards all round. Service in the restaurant was very poor - no-one around most of the time, so I ate out.Cheap and cheerful.

Location and quality of roomThe location of the hotel on a busy main road into Liverpool docks means that the road noise from outside is exessive. rooms do not have air conditioning or fans in them and so in the summer months you either suffer with the noise or the heat in the room. Rooms are small and dark and although non-smoking the soft furnishings stank of smoke!The electronic card keys kept on failing which ment a trip down to the reception desk everytime this happened. Breakfast was basic but the staff were friendly and efficient.

Very nice staff and breakfast (full hot english), and a great bar with good service. The staff is very helpfully with booking taxi and it cost betwhen 9 - 12£ one way.

FantasticHaving read some of the comments for this Hotel I was a bit worried But the rooms where spotless the bed comfortable and the food excellent I would recommed this Hotel to anyone .The staff are all very friendly and eager to please . The mangement team are very visable and nothing was to much trouble for any of them

Aside from disturbances by our neighbouring guests our stay was a pleasant one, our room was more than adequate for our needs. My stepson very much enjoyed the having the bunk beds all to himself.

A pleasent stay from start to finish. The moment I walked into the hotel I was given a very warm welcome by the staff who helped me with all my needs while I stayed. The rooms were comfortble and clean a very good standard for only a 3 star hotel. The food was excellent in the restaurant. I only wish I could have stayed longer. Excellent value for money.

Park Hotel - reviewThe accommodation was good and excellent value for money. The chefs burger in the bar was fine but the full english breakfast left a lot to be desied. Poor bacon, egg tasted strange and was badly cooked, beans were tepid.

Very pleased..............Very friendly reception.....room clean at high standards e bathroom spotless.......free internet in the room and breakfast had a choice of a cold buffet plus you could get a full english breakfast on a 3 menu choice for you.......I was very pleased.....would recommend to anyone.

Give this a miss and pay a little more elsewhereI only stayed here because I was doing an eveing seminar in the hotel. The first impression was running the gauntlet of the smokers outside the front of the main entrance. The room was very hot although it was a cold day, I had single beds made of cardboard and were so uncomfortable it gave me a bad back and although I was rear facing it was incredibly noisy from the kitchen extract system.

No sleep, no refundMy partner and me spent a Saturday night at this hotel, as she was attending a training course in Liverpool. Unfortunately, there was a wedding on the same day and our room was just above the ball room. Due to the very loud noise until around 2 am it was not possible to sleep; we also made a complaint about it during the night. They said they were fully booked therefore couldn't give us another room (they should have put people attending the wedding into the rooms above the ballroom to begin with) and offered a minor discount. When I spoke to the hotel manager the next day, he didn't want to give a full refund and only offered the same minor discount. All in all, we had to pay for something one would call the police for if it happened at home. Although they admitted poor planning on their side, they didn't provide any solution or sufficient refund. Due to their attitude, I recommend not to stay in this hotel. If you really have to, make sure there is no function in the hotel during your stay, before you book (unless of course you're attending that function :).
