Very nice staff and breakfast (full hot english), and a great bar with good service. The staff is very helpfully with booking taxi and it cost betwhen 9 - 12 one way.

This hotel is a total dump. The rooms are filthy. The breakfast was tasteless. The only things that it had going for it was that some of the staff were quite nice. Not nice enough to make up for the rest of it though. I wouldn't go back.

Aside from disturbances by our neighbouring guests our stay was a pleasant one, our room was more than adequate for our needs. My stepson very much enjoyed the having the bunk beds all to himself.

How was the food or restaurant? Was the hotel easy to get to? Give us your personal opinion on the hotel, and use this as an opportunity to give other guests invaluable information on the quality of this hotel. The hotel was dated and tatty and certainly not worth £110 . Our room was quite big, as was the bathroom, but both the bed and the bath were tiny! Breakfast was also a bit hit and miss - when something at the self service area ran out, it wasn't replenished quickly, so there was a lot of waiting around.

I am from Liverpool, now living in Greece. I spent one week in the Park Hotel. I felt very proud of the staff, and the hotel. Keep up the good work. I stayed:-17th oct until 24th oct 2007. Regards Brenda L.

The bed was uncomfortable as you could feel the springs as you lay on it the matress. The room we were allocated had been a smoking room before the law changed and there was still a smell of stale tobacco in it and the television didn't work.the hotel would benefit from a little TLC, general maintanence and a thoroughly good clean up. The window in our room did not close properly and the pillows did not match.Would have no hesistation in using laterooms.com again but would think twice about this hotel as we only went there as it was where the function we were attending was being held.Would leave the comments anonymously so as to protect those who booked the function.

I found the Park Hotel to be very average. Situated some long way out from the main part of Liverpool, the whole place needed a face lift and a good clean. Room was ok but beds were uncomfortable. The Interior of the Lift needed a good clean and redecorating. The Bar was under- stocked and furnishings were tatty. But on the other hand, the food in the Restaurant was very nice and good value, especially the Breakfast Buffet. For what we paid it was OK, but I would not return there again by choice.

left it very late to book a Liverpool hotel for Mathew St festival. Due to the distance from Liverpool City Centre and the cost, I would probably only stay here again if I could not get booked up in the city centre. Other than that, no complaints

£110 for a tiny room with a 12 inch television, small, uncomfortable bed with poor bedding - we were cold during the night. We'd have been better off in a tent in a layby. The only redeeming features were that the bathroom was clean and had appropriate facilities, and the staff were fairly friendly.

for a start the hotel is not 4-star, it's 3 - and there's quite an amount of general dilapidation about the place that suggests it's clinging onto those. futhermore, there's no gym that i saw any sign of, the "sky tv" feature is 4 extra channels tops. And having had to pay extra for the queen-size suite as it was the only available room, it turned out to be 2 single beds pushed together - possibly smaller than a standard double. the plus side was the bar is reasonably priced. all in all not worth anything near the £130 i paid for a night - next time i shall book far earlier and get nicer for cheaper.

My wife and I Arrived after a long day of traveling. We checked in, went to our room and found it to be very clean and modern. We then went to the lounge area and had a meal which was very good and good proportions at a fair price. We watched a show in the main hall and had some drinks. The next morning we had the complimetary breakfast which was very nice. The breakfast was buffet style with loads of choices, not just a piece of fruit and a bisquit. We stayed for 2 nights and over all we found the staff at The Park Hotel to be very professional and courteous. I would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel.

the only thing that me and my partner would fault them on is having too sit in the bar to have your meal as there is not very much room it would have been better in an othere room away from all the locals who you's the bar as well.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing that spoilt our stay was the fact that there was a wedding party at the hotel the night we booked and the disco was thumping out until 1230. The quality of sound proofing generally was low in that you could hear the other guests moving about in the room above and to the side quite easily. Breakfast was very nice with plenty on offer.

Disappointed on arrival, on a main road and it looks like part of the hotel is a closed down pub! My room was small even though I opted for an executive room. I didn't feel comfortable knowing that the mattress had just a sheet on it, no mattress protector which I would expect for hygiene?

Doesn't look brilliant from the outside, reception doesnt improve perception and the lift door appears to be an an old piece of hardboard. Once in the corridors to the rooms, appearances improve and the rooms, although tiny, are well decorated and decently equiped. Breakfast was a disaster, the buffet was sparse and when food did appear there was a rampage to make sure you got some.

Although this was a lovely hotel... clean and newly refurbished rooms... I was disappointed that there was not a residents bar. After returning from a great night out at the Paul McCartney concert it would have been nice to relax with a drink. It was also a lot further away from Anfield than described 3 miles was in fact a 20 minute taxi ride @ £10! Breakfast was a shambles.. mainly because everyone came down atthe same time and they couldn't cope! Although I had breakfast in 2 halves (grabbing what you could when it was there) it was very nice!

staff where very friendly and welcoming. Room was basic but as expected for value for money. Breakfast was included but staff seemed a little rushed off their feet in the breakfast room. Overall would gladly stay there again.

Only one complaint and that was the bed! Very hard and uncomfortable, time for new mattresses I think. Otherwise everything was fine.
