The hotel on the outside immediately gives you the impression of Hot Springs back in the 20's. The inside is elaborate of the style then. There is a bar and restaurant to the right, and to the left is the desk. There is an old civil war book shop a little further back, and the curator of that place is great to talk to if you are a history buff. This hotel is not the new fancy all out hotel. It is older but my sheets and room were clean and warm, the shower worked great and the staff was always very friendly. If you are looking to stay in Hot Springs for not alot of money and want just a nice room, this place would be great. I had to come in late around midnight, and the lady at the desk was very sweet, and although they don't serve breakfast every morning before I left they made sure to tell me they had coffee if I wanted some. There are not refigerators in the rooms but they held my food for me in their referigerator. Will absolutely stay again. But let me stress again this is by no means a new hotel. I did stay in a one bed room, so the room was small, but it was just me. The hotel is located just off bath house row, so you can walk to wherever you want to go.

I assumed that a room with two beds was a standard hotel room with two queen beds. It turned out that they were twin beds, that I barely fit into. They have different bed sizes and room sizes, you need to check that out.

-no control of air -no hairdryer or iron -intercom phone in room to page hotel staff- forget a nap-how rude! -rat/mouse in the corner chewing all night on the table leg Do I need to say anymore?

A Place for Angels to Hang Out in the Park I was skeptical of staying at this hotel because of the large amounts of negative commentary that exist about it (on hotels.com, not here). I was absolutely thrilled to discover that those negative individuals must be psychotic. This historic hotel is still under renovation, but the restored areas are absolutely magnificent. They changed ownership in 2007, so prior to changing hands it may be that it was improperly managed and run. Yes, this place is old and historic. The furniture is not brand new, and the it is filled with character. There is even a civil war museum inside! If your looking for a luxury stay at a high class resort complete with room service, spa, and people to wait on you hand and foot, this is not the place. If your down to earth, looking for relaxation, a peaceful and positive atmosphere at low cost, then this is the place for you. I am already planning my next trip out there! The Italian restaurant that is adjoined is ethereal in its decor, and the food was absolutely divine. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did! If you book your stay there based on my review, tell the ladies at the front desk that Morgan inspired your stay. :) They are all wonderful, helpful women. :)

I liked the hotel . It wasn't your typical hotel but it was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I liked the historical appearance, inside and out. If I had any complaint it would be about the shower....it was kinda small and the shower head sprayed too fast . But you know it's hard to get a good shower at any hotel. I'd recommend it to my friends if they go there. i thought it was better than the more expensive one down the street.

Its definately not the Hilton or even a Red roof....But we loved it! I like the old time charm and the view of the park. We went with friends who booked at the Arlington Spa and Resort....We liked the Park Hotel better!! The staff went out of their way to be helpful and were very friendly. It reminded me of being at a friends place. That beautiful staircase makes for some great pictures!!
