Before booking I read several reviews about the hotel. On the whole the reviews were accurate. As indicated on the right I was satisfied with most things. However I was most diappointed with the foyer of the hotel and the decor and also the area for having a drink in the evening. The foyer is so sparse ib it's decor and does not in anyway encourage my partner and I to spend time there. We visited the sister Hotel the Golf and we were certainly impressed with their foyer and ambiance. I am surprised that they both have a rating of 4 star as I think the Park only deserves a 3. The location is perfect and booking a room with a lake view was certainly the right thing to do. An improvement could easily be made with flower arrangements and more comfortable furniture in the foyer in the restaurant flowers and candles on the table would add for a more romantic meal.

I first stayed in this hotel for two weeks following my Civil Partnership in August 2006. The hotel is ideally placed on the banks of the lake. We had upgraded to a lake view room, which was well worth it! The view was absolutely stunning. Although the room was a little basic in it's furnishing, it was very clean and very comfortable. Since staying the first time, the hotel has undergone a refurbishment, therefore the rooms have been upgraded. The food was varied and plentiful. Not once did we leave the restaurant hungry! The staff are friendly and attentive and are always keep to ensure the best possible service. The pool and fitness centre is clean and well maintained. The pool is warm too, which makes a big difference after having a swim in the lake! Overall, I cannot rave about this hotel enough and we like Bled itself so much we have been back several times since.
