Just gorgeous - only let down by complete lack of a view from our room in the annex - massive r0om, fantastic bathroom, great breakfasts and a brew pub next door. Paid not a lot for it, and at the same rate would stay again next tiime we visit like a shot

Excellent Hotel, very private with a helpful, resourceful staff. Perfect hotel for the person looking to enjoy La Jolla with little or no fuss with accommodations.

Hotel Parisi is in the heart of La Jolla surrounded by excellent restaurants and shopping. Miles of beach is only a short walk away ? in fact, you really wouldn?t need to rent a car if you were able to arrange transportation to and from the airport because there is so much to do all within walking distance. It's a great location! Despite being in the middle of such a hot spot, our room was very serene; high ceilings, plenty of room ? even in the bathroom. Hotel Parisi is very tastefully decorated ? just absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The staff was friendly and eager to offer suggestions and directions. We were also impressed with the complimentary breakfast buffet of fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, cheeses, meats, breads, pastries, cereal, juices, coffee and espresso! If I could change anything, I would have chosen to have a better view from our room. Our window looked right into someone?s apartment across an alley, but because we spent most of the day out and about, and the rest of the hotel?s atmosphere was so great, that didn?t matter much to us. Overall, we were thrilled with our decision to stay at Hotel Parisi and plan on returning soon. I highly recommend Hotel Parisi for an adult getaway.

Excellent central location with good parking, within easy walk of the sea front and many bars and restaurants. Hotel breakfast is one of the best I have ever had with wonderful freshly baked breads and pastries, fresh fruit and cereal.

This hotel was a huge disappointment. When I arrived after having previously checked in the door to my room was fastened wide open, apparently left that way by the turn-down maid. The wireless internet didn't work and I wasted almost an hour trying to connect -- at least I was able to use a wired internet connection. The hotel has no restaurant -- breakfast is "continental" which doesn't work for my high protein low carb diet. The in-room thermostat never seemed to work right, and the noisy fan could not be turned off. This hotel has been described as European -- maybe Eastern Europe before the iron curtain fell, but not 21st century Europe. Pretty lobby and nice enough staff, but overall fewer amenities than a Hampton Inn. Definitely not worth the price (which I know was jacked up by 50 dollars per night for the Orbitz commission because they tried to get me to pay for the room again after I had already prepaid when I made the reservation.

You can tell a lot about the hotel by its management. This hotel refused to waive non-refunding penalty even though I left the hotel 10 minutes after my check-in. Why did I leave? The room that I booked was described as follows: "Deluxe Room with King Bed". Upon my arrival, I was told that online travel website got it wrong and they did not have rooms with king size beds (online travel website later explained to me that their info comes straight out of the hotel's computer system). I was offered a room with two queen beds instead. To add insult to the injury, the room looked into a blank wall, and the hotel itself looked like it was undergoing renovations - a portion of the lobby was covered with cellophane, there was cellophane on the floors in the hall, and there was a smell of paint everywhere. Nowhere on the hotel website will you find any warnings about the ongoing renovations. This was definitely NOT what I had in mind for a romantic weekend in La Jolla - especially for *+ per night. We left right away, opting for the Grand Colonial instead (their new suites, with front ocean views are awesome! And so is their restaurant). When I tried to get a refund from online travel website, however, they contacted the hotel, trying to get them to waive the 100% non-refunding penalty for cancelling on the day of the arrival - and the hotel manager refused! She said she gave me the above-described "options" - which is a classic "bait & switch", as I would not have booked Parisi had I known that they do not have a room I wanted. I have never heard of a luxury hotel making guests pay for the room the guests refused to stay in. I will take my money elsewhere the next time I am in La Jolla.

The location is great, right on Prospect Street in the heart of La Jolla. There was a major construction project going on, so things were noisy during the day, but quiet at night. The room was very nice. They gave us free fruit and water. There is no restaurant, but one down the street delivers. The staff was attentive. We had a newborn, and they provided us with a crib. The only drawback, and it was a big one, is that our room had a skylight. Sounds cool, right? Not at 6:00 AM when the sun came up or when it started raining. The noise was too loud to even have a conversation. I mentioned it to the hotel staff on checkout and was told that they could climb up on the roof and put a tarp over the skylight. This would help with the light but I'm not sure this would dampen the noise from the rainfall.

We stayed here for the New Years Holiday. From check-in, which is at a desk instead of a counter, to the morning breakfast and up until the last minute we stayed, my wife and I felt completely comfortable and welcomed. The rooms are nicely furnished with nice amenities. We will definitely stay here when visiting the area in the future.

The hotel is wonderful and a fantastic location. We had a room that overlooked Prospect street and could see the ocean. A short walk to Seal Beach, great restaurants and shops. Outstanding service and location!
