The Paris Marriott was a good pick. The rooms were large for European standards. The staff was very friendly and spoke English well. The hotel was close to the Metro, making it an easy starting point. However, there was no free internet provided by the hotel and I found a dirty sock in my ice bin the first night, thus slightly tarnishing an otherwise great visit.

Clean smoke-free room. Breakfast wasn't very good, and the internet was too expensive (20 euros per day). Also the hotel charged us a 6 euro tax at check out.

We have stayed at Marriott properties all over and this one is very good. Not centrally located, but a quick taxi to anywhere you wish to go in Paris. The staff is very friendly and most have good English skills. The rooms and baths are modern and well designed. The concierge desk is excellent. We would certainly stay their again.

Paris was the 2nd city on our European tour and we found a gem with this hotel. What a great experience. The rooms were huge (we had a suite that turned out to be 2 rooms with 2 full bathrooms), clean, and full of amenities. Because of the package that we booked, we were allowed to use the mini bar without added cost (only non-alcoholic items were in the mini bar), and had access to the Executive Lounge which provided round the clock snacks and drinks (including wine and beer) at no added cost. There was also a modest breakfast buffet and small dinner prepared in the Executive Lounge at no added cost. Hotel was located close to a metro station, actually between 2, so getting around the city was easy. It is a bit off the beaten path, and used more for conferences than leisure travel, but with breakfast included, and all the other amenities of the hotel, it was certainly good value for money. We used the Concierge service who was very helpful in booking tours and departure transportation to our next city. The staff all spoke wonderful English, and although I do speak French, my English is better! The in-house restaurant is okay, but we only had a meal there once because it was late and we had been out on a tour all day. We had to wait longer to check-in because our room wasn't ready, but were then given a fabulous bottle of wine and cheese plate to thank us for our patience. Overall, a great hotel!

This hotel is very well situated to take advantage of Paris' superb transit system (subway & bus). From this location were able to get anywhere in Paris by Subway quickly and efficiently. Paris is a huge city so even if you stayed at a location in the downtown area you would still require transportation to visit the many different sites and areas. Subway is the best way to do this. Rooms at this hotel are typical Mariott style - modern and comfortable - king size bed in Paris - may be difficult and very expensive to find. The Mariott offers this at reasonable prices.

Nice clean hotel. Friendly staff. Fit the purpose. Would stay again. Had to change the room, the bed was badly slanted. No view.

Contrary to what other people said, we thought the location was good. It's impossible to be close to all of the main attractions. The hotel is right between 2 metro stations...just a short walk. Plus the metro line is just a few stops from Monparnasse station. The bed was as comfortable as everyone said. The staff was extremely polite and spoke English although I speak French but my husband does not. The room was very quiet but did not have a nice view (room 817). There were brasseries and bakeries close by. We would definitely stay here again. We did not eat in the restaurant. We never did see the bathrobes we were supposed to have. That is the only disappointment I had... and it was a small thing. The refrigerator was empty and we put it to good use. The electric tea kettle was great.

Great Hotel. Check-in took a very long time. Breakfast for two, and coffee/cake/cookies and fruit all day long till Midnight. In addition, finger foods, wine, and desserts each evening from 5:30pm thru 9:30pm. The rooms are nicely appointed, but, to American standards, small. The free TV stations were bare, and they try to upsell the TV for a very high proce per day, to a wider range of stations. Location is not in a touristy area, but in a residential area, close (15 min walk) to Montparnasse. Wlak is nioce, tho, and there are 3 metro stations within a 5 minute walk, so it was very convenient to everything in Paris. Plenty of restaurants of all types within a 5 min walk,. Close to 2 Shopping areas, each within 10 min walk (max). In short, a delightful stay. Would stay there again on my next trip to Paris.

We got a great deal for this hotel and I loved it so much that I booked a trip for my mother to stay here. It's in a good location, near the 2 metro lines. It's in a very pretty part of town that we enjoyed walking around and stopping in cafes and shops. I don't think there was a negative to our 5 night stay here.

Security of Marriott brand in a new place. Small rooms. Average hotel, good location with easy access to the metro. Doesn't have services and facilities one would associate with a Marriott property otherwise (24 hour room service, etc).

The hotel was very nice comparing to others in Europe. Everything was new and upgraded and very clean. However the staff was not very nice.

Location is great, very safe and close to the metro. People in the frontal desk are not too polite to Americans. The hotel is located in a great area, it is very safe to walk during the night and the metro station is only about 150 ft.
