Excellent location and great interior. However, the rooms do not seem to be well maintained.

We stayed in this hotel for afew nights of our honeymoon. The staff was excellent and very helpful and the hotel had a very nice atmosphere. Our first night in we arrived in town late, but the man at the desk recommended a wonderful restuarant around the corner. Great location, within walking distance of EVERYTHING! Our room was huge and clean. Breakfast was very nice. There is internet access in the hotel for a very reasonable price as well. Great experience!

The hotel is in an ideal location, close to the railway station and the main sights. The room was first class and the staff were all friendly, helpful and efficient. I would heartily recommend this hotel and hope to visit it again in the future.

This hotel is 50 years past its prime. The smell of sewage reaked through the entire building. When I questioned the manager, I was told that since the building was very old, this happened sometimes. Also, the shower in my room(deluxe) was attatched at the faucet and the hose wouldn't reach my head!! AVOID THIS HOTEL!! I wouldn'r board my dogs here!

The hotel is located near the main Florence railway station and providing you use the tunnel from the railway station, you can easily carry your luggage to the hotel. We were lucky that the rooms we booked were located on the third floor and any traffic noise was kept to a minimum. The double room had a bath with a hand-held shower unit, while the single room had a shower cubicle. Breakfast was reasonable with a choice of cereals, milk, coffee & hot water for tea from vending machine, cheese, cold meat spread and a selection of bakery items. The hotel can arrange tours and museum visits; we made a five hour afternoon trip to Pissa for 40 Euros each; coach left from the square near railway station. All the shops and places that you need to visit are all within walking distance of the hotel and we had no need to hire any taxi during our stay. Overall I would recommend this hotel to friends visiting Florence, for its location, good three star hotel facilities and very friendly staff.

A fantastic location, just around the corner from the Duomo plus within walking distance of all other major attractions plus the train station. The hotel is very grand, abit like staying at a stately home and very romantic. The breakfast is adequate, however worth a trip down in the morning just to sit in the amazing breakfast room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definately recommend paying a little extra for this hotel as it is out of this world and with its central location saves on travel cost of getting around the city.

As soon as we arrived at the hotel we were moved to their sister hotel, which was not nearly as nice. They claimed that they had water and electrical problems and needed to move guests. The odd part was that none of the guests that were there, seemed to be inconvenienced by the problems. The city was booked solid (there was a fitness event happening) and we strongly suspect that they had simply over booked. Had we actually been moved to a comparable hotel, we would have been okay with the move.

An old hotel in the heart of the city on a quiet-ish side road with veiws of the Duomo from the front entrance. As it is old, it is a little run down compared to a state of the art modern hotel on the edge of the city but it is clean and suitably decorated with frescos on the Dining Room and Landing ceilings. Staff are very friendly and helpful and speak very good English. I would stay here again the next time I go to Florence

We were very happy with this hotel. All employees were very friendly and helpful. We arrived with the car (if you know Florence... this might be a callenge), but people at reception gave us excellent directions and also managed parking of the car. The hotel is a 5 minutes walk to the Duomo, so you are staying really downtown. I have been to Florence in the past, but never had such a good hotel for this fair price.

If you can deal with poor a/c (we needed a fan to circulate the air) and the fact that you cannot open or see out the windows then you should like it. Great location!

The best hotel of our 4 city tour! Very convenient to all things Florence. Great breakfast buffet. Restaurant all across street was really good. Downside is that you have to do steps to/from elevator to rooms or breakfast.

The hotel is in an old palazzo, well managed by the staff. The breakfast is just fair, lacking more kinds of fruits and eggs. The place is very close to the railway station (no taxi needed) and the main attractions, like the Duomo and the Uffizzio.
