Have been coming here for a decade now and have had certain rooms set up for us until this time. Delayed us

This was just a nice getaway for the weekend....it was clean, people were friendly....the hotel could use some updating...but, nothing horrible about it.

Large rooms with a good location close to UF. Sheets were dirty and housekeeping staff seemed to do as little as possible. I went to UF with my son. Location was great. Housekeeping needs to step it up.

We stayed at Paramount Plaza while we moved our daughter into her dorm at UF. The location was convenient to the campus and the rate was cheap. I wouldn't consider this hotel a 3 star as it is billed. Two stars is my rating. The hotel is a little dingy. The linens are of poor quality and are old. There were no cups in our room for water or coffee (there was a coffee maker in the room) and housekeeping came to our room at 8 am knocked on the door and wanted to know when we were checking out. That is just plain rude. No one should be knocking on your door before noon unless you ordered room service or there is an emergency. They billed me for the room when I checked out although I had prepaid online. I had to wait while they checked and then fixed their error. The desk clerk who checked us in was very nice and when we asked for a room near the pool, he obliged us. We had a beautiful view off our balcony of the lake through some live oak trees that were laced with spanish moss. I will probably try a different hotel next visit to Gainesville

We had to share a handtowel between us. We were billed by [...] for 2 rooms. How do I get ahold of [...]? I can't find a phone number or or a web site that will let me in for a refund. Thanks for your help.

Parking was limited and we had to park far away from our room.

Quick check in. Clean room and a comfy bed for me and my family. We stayed overnight and did not use the amenities in the hotel. Close to UF on 441-minutes to downtown or campus

Would not go back. Very Noisy and I ahd to call the front desk 5 times before they would come. They said "what do yuou want us to do about it". Big crowd of very noisy people in the hallway in the middle of the night and they did not want to do anything about it. They also have this bizzaare billing system. They do not charge you the agreed upon room price but add a rediculous charge upon check out "this covers use of the T.V., the Alarm Clock, The Shower, etc. I would not go back to these crooks if the rooms were for FREE. What comes around goes around. STAY AWAY FORM THIS PLACE. I TRAVEL ALL THE TIME AND I WOULD NEVER GO BACK. NOT EVER. NO WAY NO HOW. COUNT YOUR FINGERS IF THEY SHAKE YOUR HAND.

I would of been stuck! I also had trouble finding parking spot! I wasn't happy that i was told there was tax on the 2.50 access fee. Somebody should of offered help to me!

Location. Staff did not do what was asked of. When staying at the hotel we were put in a room at the end of the hall next to the door to exit. This door to exit did have a key security but the door was extremely loud. Meanwhile the room across was having a party of at least 30 people seen through the window. After complaining twice to the front desk nothing was done. Then the third time I asked to move to another room and was told smoking was all that was available. All of this when I had to be up at 5:00 in the morning.

I paid for a non-smoking king size bedroom. When I arrived they said they had put me in that, but when I went to the room, it was a smoking king size room. I found a rusted earring underneath the couch, and the place reaked. It was a nice view though, the balcony was right on the river. But, I didn't feel very clean. I told housekeeping to clean my room while I was at the game, and she said okay but when I returned my room was not clean at all. Also, do not put the key next to a cell phone or such because I couldn't get into my building because the key had been demagnetized and I had to walk around the entire hotel to the lobby so I could get the strip magnetized again. I was very unhappy with the amount that I had to pay for the cleanliness of the room. It got the job done but overall I was very unhappy with my experience.

The first thing that struck me beyond the lobby was the smell of cleaning fluids and antiseptics. The halls and elevators are worn and a little shabby. These could use an updating. My room, however, was fine. It did not smell of cleaning fluids.

Great location and easy distance to the university. The room appeared clean enough however the towels and linens all had that less than "fresh" smell about them. The grounds around the hotel as well as the hotel itself is very neat and well kept. Our first floor room had a small balcony with table and chairs which was a nice touch, especially while enjoying coffee early in the morning. Each porch has a very bright domed light that can't be extinguished, causing too much light into the room at night. Above average security measures for a hotel are also in place. We've stayed in five other hotels/motels in Gainesville over the past few years and found those closer to the Interstate to be a little nicer, but than you have to deal with a rather congested cross-town drive everyday when conducting business at the university. It's a trade off and we typically choose which location based on how much time we will be spending in the area.

slightly older rooms and furniture. I stayed in this hotel twice , and tried 2 different rooms.. rooms vary in quality ( cleanliness, upgrades..etc)
