A modern holiday complex located in Cadiz's old town next to the Genovés park. It overlooks the sea with a spectacular view over the Gaditana bay.It is in the residential zone of the city, surrounded by palm trees. The hotel is an ideal starting point for exploring the entire region; from here you explore the Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos (tour of the white villages), the bull and wine routes, as well as the fishing villages dotted along its extensive coastline.The bedrooms are spacious and light, and beautifully decorated, boasting calm and relaxing views.There are many activities you can take part in outside of the hotel including boat trips or tours of the region. During the summer the hotel also organises entertainment for adults: ballroom dancing to a live orchestra, magic shows, live music and various other shows every day of the week, as well as children's entertainment. In winter there are live piano recitals to liven up the evenings.The suites have a maximum capacity of 800 people and are ideal for meetings, conferences, work parties, or celebrating any occasion.The restaurant offer delicious Gaditana fried platters, urta a la Roteña (baked snapper with tomato sauce), dorada de estero (local dorado fish), fantastic meats and the famous Cádiz turrón.

Nice hotel but be careful!Unlike most paradores, this is a modern hotel located on the coast and next to the old city centre. Whle the La Caleta beach is nearby, for a full-on beach holiday the Playa Victoria or Caleta hotels, on the magnificent Victoria beach, are better-located. The No 7 bus - terminus outside the hotel - goes there in 15 minutes. If you want to sample the many excellent restaurants and tapas bars of Cadiz and the city centre this is a plum spot, however- El Faro on Calle San Felix is the best Spanish restaurant I've been to.Like a number of Spanish hotels most rooms are twins - even if booked as doubles and described as such. It involved a bit of hassle persuading the receptionist that my wife and I wished a double room not two single beds. Reception did not deal with us particularly helpfully though did eventually sort it out by the second night. Rooms are nice and clean with balconies and sea views though the air conditioning seems to be switched off during the night which is not ideal in midsummer. There is an excellent pool though no direct access to the shore. We got a voucher for 3 free nights at another parador for a winter break on departure, which was a nice touch and which I would be minded to use.Lastly, parking in the hotel grounds is free. Most hotels in Cadiz charge fifteen euros a day for this so it's a good benefit and worth factoring in if on a budget - parking in Cadiz generally is not at all easy and the public car parks are even more expensive. Overall I would stay here again but the Playa Victoria would be my first choice if staying in Cadiz for a week or so and indifferent to the cost.
