The 2,300-acre property features a 5,000-yard coastline accented by a rocky peninsula with steep undulating topography. A sandy beach, approximately 2,500 yards long, offers magnificent views of the coastline and is one of the site's primary attributes. A natural divide, a steep ridge over 330 feet above sea level, extends east-west through the central part of the property. It virtually divides the property equally. The northern slope of this ridge offers spectacular ocean views over the existing Melia Playa Conchal resort and Garra de Leon Golf Course. These facilities occupy approximately 240 acres (10% of the property) along the eastern portion of the beach.
Dining:
The ideal Costa Rica Restaurant with an atmosphere for those who seek an informal and relaxing lunch by the pool under a huge thatched roof hut. Located in the heart of the resort near the pool. This Costa Rica restaurant is the ultimate in relaxation. (Dress Code: Gentlemen must wear a shirt or T-Shirt at all times.)Open from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM.

It is hard to type because I had an ATV accident my last day at the resort (the accident was off of the resort). My experience at the resort was superb, even hard to put in words. Everyone was friendly, the service was excellent, and there were enough free activities to keep you busy your entire stay. The staff made sure they granted your every wish. While eating breakfast one morning, we observed a bird fly in and take small amounts of food from one of the serving plates. The food was immediately thrown away, and a new serving plate was brought out. The staff ensured they performed above and beyond my expectations at all times. This was by far my best vacation ever! I would recommend staying at this resort if ever visting Costa Rica!

Ive never written a review before but after this experience I felt I must. The hotel itself was fine, but It didnt feel like we were in Costa Rica at all. We didnt like that so we wanted to check out early and move to another hotel. After giving them 48 hours notice to cancel the rest of our stay , we were told that we could not check out early and would be charged for the entire stay. After much uncomfortable arguing they let us leave. upon check out they charged us 124 for 4 small wash clothesfrom the bathroom that we had stained. Im not kidding, I could go on and on but you get the picture. It was horrible, dont stay there

My family and I were there for six days. The only thing that I did not like is the fact that I had to come back to reality and could not bring the cleaning service, chef, drivers, and room service back with me. My family and I were treated like royality. The island is simply breath taking and the food was delicious. Our favorite restaurtant is Spices, Asian Fusion. I met couples who brought their children, those who were on honeymoons, older couples, singles hanging out with friends. We all coexisted and had a good time. I was skeptical about the kids, but the rooms were peaceful and I could not hear anything outside of my suite. My suite was on the golf course. If you decide to take the trip, I would highly recommend this location. Also the suites by the pools are great. The pool closes at 6pm, so you don't have to worry about noise if you are in this location. The beach was so so. The sand was brown and it was not as clean as other beaches that I have visited. Unlike other places that I have been with private beaches, this was a public one. We went out on the jet skies but it was not a beach that I would care to lay out on.

My wife and I have vacationed here this time last year. We liked it so much, we went back this year. The only draw back is that it's starting to become "kid friendly". Nothing wrong with kids, I just like a little piece and quiet sometimes. We will probably return next year.

From the beauty of the country to the beauty of the Costa Ricans - this vacation far exceed our expectations. Can't wait to go again - hopefully this summer!!!!

We enjoy the food, the pool and the quiet and peaceful setting. We also did some activities like horse back riding and take a nice boat trip along the sea shore. The night life could have been better. I was expecting a couple of clubs maybe one for older group of people. The night club was too small for such a large resort.

For an all inclusive I thought this was great. Top shelf liquors, 4 restarants with extensive menus and quality food. Nice selection of wines with dinner. Lunch & breakfast was quality, healty food. Plenty of activities and classes. Yoga, pilataes, ect. spanish lessons, salsa lessons, all included. Couples massage was a little weak, not the best spa I have been to. Evenings were fun with a different show everynight, professional dancing, ect. Several bars, one was hip, a nice bar. I wish the pools were a little more tranquil. Safe, very nice staff.

I have taken a lot of trips over the past couple of years and this one was my favorite. The resort couldn't have been any better. The service was impecable. The same servers that would serve you your room service in the early morning might be your bartender that afternoon at the pool, or may be your server for dinner and they remember your name and would always find a way to please you anyway that they could. They always have a smile on their faces. The room was very nice and roomy. There were so many different things to do that you can't do any where else. I would recommend this trip to anyone. It was worth the money!

I thought the resort was beautiful. Friendly staff, great accomodations, good food. Reservation dinner restaurants were the best. Great alcohol selection. Shows were nice. Not the biggest party place ever, but had enough entertaining to make it fun. Resort was huge and didn't feel like we were cramped into one small area. Rooms were in villages and were very quiet. I would definitely travel here again.

We have stayed at other all inclusive resorts so this was just an okay place. Location was not that great but overall we had a good time. Definitely not worth the money we paid compared to other places.

This hotel was very relaxing, no rushing to get to breakfast or anywhere. The hotel is pretty big so there are shuttles that will come and get you to take you whereever you need to go. This hotel is secluded in a guarded community. Making reservations for restaurants was very easy all you had to do is pick up the phone and dial the ext provided, other hotels I have been to you had to wake up early and stand in line to make reservations. There is a sunset cruise you can sign up for that is included in the hotel package that is really nice.

We were assign to a villa, however we had a few small problems with the room and we were immediately moved to a different room, which was in the tower by the pool. It was fantastic! the maid service kept our room clean, made little animals out of towels that made us smile everyday. Our first Butler [...]made our dinner reservation for the entire week he was wonderful, our second butler [...] always had a pleasant hello and even when we moved from the Villa he still stop and ask us if we need anything which made us feel special, our third butler [...] ran bath water for us, help me surprise my honey with a cake at dinner, a well wanted bathrobe , chocolate strawberries and I can go on, he was great. Our pool butler [...] he was awesome, he made sure we had drinks, brought us food by the pool, kept us with towels, I can say this was the best resort I ever been to.

Adventure/Vacation w/my sons: Did Zip lines, snorkeled on the corral reef, visited the national park where we saw really cool animals including monkeys and crocs, kayaked on the ocean, and met some really cool people. Also had fun lounging around the resort where there are many additionl activities to keep you busy. Beatuful location, huge resort, really nice beach w/alot of room to roam. Food was great - definately 4 star qulity. Less than perfect catagory: only one beer available, had to reserve spot at resturants early and they quickly filled up, outdoor pool closed too early 6pm, can't see the beach from the resort, the service was just ok. I had an excellent overall experience and I'd definately go back.

This hotel was just amazing. The grounds, the rooms, the pool and the beach. Lots of activities, including a free sunset cruise and snorkel tour. Everyone was so friendly, overall the food was good. I thought room service and the buffets might have been better than the al a carte restaurants, but they were nice with a great atmosphere. The beach was so quiet and secluded, the area looked like the tv show LOST. There are a ton of excursions you could take as well.

My wife and I just returned from our anniversary trip to the Paradisus Playa Conchal. It was our first time to Costa Rica, and there was nothing about the county, the people or the hotel that disappointed. We flew into Liberia Airport, which is very small (if you are used to Cancun this will be an eye opener). The entire place is open air and not airconditioned, however it is very well run, clean and has a few shops and food vendors. My wife an I agreed that it was a very neat way to enter the country, and added to the feeling of adventure that you don't quite get entering some of the more developed destinations. The drive to the resort was around 1 hour. We arranged for a private shuttle through [...]. The service was prompt and the drivers were friendly and spoke english well enough. The round trip cost was $184 for a van that seats up to 4.The resort property is wonderful. Called the Reserva Conchal, it sits in a mountain valley that fronts one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to. The entire property is rolling green hills. Some condos dot the property and a golf course surrounds the Paradisus itself. The main lobby sits on a hill overlooking everything and has a nice cafe for breakfast and lunch. The rooms are arranged in 40 buildings of 8, all with balconys, none of them beachfront though. Ours faced the golf course and the surronding hills. I'd recommend a room on the perimter like ours, as some of the buildings simply face other buildings. Our room was a junior suite and was very nice and clean, had a new, flat screen tv, mini-bar, a/c, nice big bed and a separate seating area and kitchenette. Also, the water is considered potable (we didn't drink it) but just about everything I've read and heard indicates that you can safely drink the water. I would still stick to bottled. In any case it didn't have the chlorine smell that we experienced in Mexico and actually felt refreshing to shower.A short walk from our room was the pool/dining area. Biggest poo
