The first time I stayed at the hotel with my boyfriend was on March 2007, we loved so much that we came back on November 2007. It is a beautiful place. Last time I was really disappointed with the service and the inappropriate attitude of the gambling table attendant (women) at the casino. Most of them are hookers waiting for an opportunity for money. I found out them flirting to my boyfriend even when I was with him at the casino. I recommend you to watch for your other half when staying there.

Resort itself was really nice. We stayed at "The Reserve" which was a smaller section within the resort. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. It was an off-season during our stay so it was quiet and relaxing. The only down side could be there aren't that many activities to do within the resort. There are some free activities though, such as snorkeling and horse riding. Otherwise, you will need to spend some extra money in order to enjoy other activities. Also, food was just an average. Out of all the restaurants,"Passion" was the best. Resort offers some shows at night and they were pretty good, will recommend highly. Overall, it was an excellent place to stay for those who are looking for some relaxing and quiet time by the water.

Everything. This was by far the worst service I have ever had.

I went here for a wedding for my brother and was excited upon walking in and seeing how everything looked. Doing anything with the front desk is always a serious pain. The guy checking us in had no idea what he was doing and didn't understand my questions. The room we got was right near the road so all we heard were cars all night. They are constantly trying to take you promotional tours to up-sell you into their membership program - extremely annoying! There is only one place to eat breakfast and lunch daily (actually 2 for lunch for its seems like all the same food). There is no place to dine and be served during the day - only buffet. Dining at night was very inconsistent. We had one good night at a place that serves sushi and hibachi-style stir-fry: food was good, service was good. We had several occassions where just getting drinks during dinner was almost impossible and one time had to get up and grab the wine bottle myself to serve the table. They also rush you out if you have a 9:45 reservation because you are the last one's there. Tip: don't offer 9:45 reservations if you can't staff them. Even after all of that, the majority of the wedding party got sick and some that were sick went home with food poisoning and parasites. There is a general attitude is that they expect tips with bad service, which only gets worse when you don't tip. all inclusive includes service and tips are for exceptional service. The place looks beautiful but is offset by poor food and service, and the annoying soliciting of promotional tours of their membership program.

My husband and I visited this resort with my family. Overall, we had a great trip. The weather was nice and the resort was beautiful and well-maintained. The rooms were better than we expected. We were disappointed that one of the restaurants was closed while we were there. Reservations were difficult to get at 7:30 for a party of 5, so we often had to eat earlier or later than we would have liked. The reservation system at the resort needs some help. There were 5 restaurant options (Italian, Continental, Asian Fusion, Teppenyaki, and Sushi)and the buffet. We did not eat at the Sushi restaurant. The Italian restaurant was disappointing, but the foods at the others was above-average (with the exception of dessert- stick to ice cream). They had common brands of alcohol (Bacardi, Absolut, etc.) but if you don't ask for it specifically you may get the bottom shelf liquor. The majority of the staff was pleasant and attentive. We did have some problems with the Front Desk. We had to ask 4 times to have our double beds converted before it actually happened. There are shows every night, which were not bad for an all-inclusive. My husband played in the casino every night, and didn't do too bad for a small casino. If you are interested in activities, ask the staff. There are lots of things to do if you know how to sign up and where to go. My family went out on the sailboat, kayaks, paddle boats, took a painting class and played beach volleyball. We also visited the spa- which is next door at The Reserve. It was just opened earlier this year and was really nice. Overall, a nice vacation. If you are looking for someplace very busy with lots of singles, however, this is not the place. Mostly couples and families looking to relax. Also, the shuttle service we used through Orbitz for ground transportation to/from the airport (Coco Tours) was difficult to work with- I would recommend trying another company if you can!

I loved the look and surroundings. Quickness of room service. The hotel was beautiful with great gardens, a relaxing pool with Jacuzzis build in and a spectacular view to the ocean in a great location with very fine restaurants and lots of activities.

Every inch of the hotel and property was beautifully designed and constructed. We stayed at Paradisus Palma Real for 5 days. It was an amazing trip. The design of the hotel was perfect and beautiful. It felt like paradise. Everything from the service to the food was beyond expectations. I would definitely go back!

Very little to say about Paradises Palma Royal. We loved it there. The Royal service was exactly that, fit for royalty!!! The staf smiled, said good morning, always asking what they can do for you. Up to this vacation, the Four Season's resort in Maui was the best we ever had, not any more. Punta Cana's Paradises, Palma Royal (with royal service) takse the cake, hands down. WOW what a relaxing vacation.

Our trip was fabulous! The hotel was just 15 minutes from the airport and we got a taxi right away. Check-in and check-out was quick and plesant and the staff was nothing but friendly. Food was pretty good but was EXCELLENT in Vento. Make sure you eat there.. the staff was great and the food was top notch. The pool was clean and we found plenty of seating. It did start to get a little busier right before we left but we still had our choice of pool chairs. This resort was relaxing, and they also provided plenty of entertainment and activities. One of the nightly shows was a fire dancing show and during the day they had classes about making drinks, playing casino games, dance classes, aerobics classes, volleyball games, pool aerobics, etc.. You can do nothing or everything it's totally up to you. They offered free catamaran lessons, kayaking, snorkeling, etc.. We did the Dolphin Island trip and loved it!! Overall great experience.. We would definitely go back again.

We LOVED IT.. From the moment you get in the hotel you will go to the Royal Service checking area (please DO get Royal Service is worth it) you are welcomed nicely and even ask if you want something to drink while you wait; you will also find in the same Royal Service area; 2 PC's with internet access and Free wireless access (if you want access in your room you will need a cable; bring one they will charge 12 for a cable to keep) The Royal Service Pool and private beach is great; the Pool guys (Ours: Galven and Pedro.. THE BEST) they will not let you go thirsty or without a Palapa (BIG BIG "umbrella" made of palm leaves with a balinese bed ) The Barman was also great he is always happy and will prepare any drink you want (with and without "vitamin" meaning liquor or not..) The food is really good; again with Royal Service you get your personal butler to ask for recomendations and he/she will make the reservations for you; the best restaurant for dinner was Gabi Beach the ambiance is really nice and not crowded; for lunch the Buffet is really good every day will have something different Overall I will go back with my eyes closed and will stay again in Royal Service area; that is even better if there are a bunch of people from companies staying at the hotel usuallyon the other side; the RS quarters are pretty quiet

I called the hotel directly before I left to ask if there was free wifi and access to the business center. I was told 'yes' and that it was free. When I checked in I was told the business center was free but wifi in the room you would have to pay for but if I came to the lobby that it would be free. I had an extremely important conference call that I was unable to join because once we got past the argument of paying I was still unable to connect to the network, the passwords would not work. After 45 minutes, I ended up having to pay to use the business center to apologize for not being able to be on the call. Did I mention that I was on my honeymoon and that I would have cancelled the trip if I learned I wouldn't have internet access??? For this class of hotel, this service should be free. The shuttle service from the airport to hotel was fine but the return we ended up taking a taxi otherwise we would have to leave for the airport 5 hours before our flight. Plus the Coco Tours representative NEVER showed up to the hotel, not even during our designated time to meet.

The hotel was really nice. The people were all very friendly, and it was so huge - big pool, never a shortage of chairs, a lot of chairs on the beach too. Easy to get towels. The room was really nice. Everything was clean. What I didn't like: (1) The gift shop was horribly overpriced, which I expected to a certain extent, but over $10 for each of the following individual items: a 3 oz tube of sun screen, a 4 oz tube of mousse and a single razor; (2) I wanted better drink service. It always took a long time to get a drink; (3) the food was not really great, and it was difficult to get into the restaurants advertised on the website.

The Resort is amazing. Their staff is so friendly with a greeting of "hola" each time you see them. [...] at the front desk is wonderful. The "casino" there could use some work but the dealers were very friendly. Take some cash with you as they is a 3% charge on credit card withdrawals, and the ATM only dispenses Pesos. i felt at home and will definitely return very soon.

Beautiful resort..inside and out. My girlfriend and I stayed 4 days and 3 nights off-season for my best friends wedding and couldn't have asked for a better time. Orbitz upgraded our room for free to "The Reserve"..which is the newest part of the resort. Although it was physically set apart from the "Palma Real"..a short wait and free ride from the main lobby..it offered a quieter and more private feel while still allowing access to the entire resort. The room was gorgeous and spotless, providing a very modern and comfortable setting..two flat screen TVs, entertainment system with iPod connection, free high speed internet..outside was our own lounge area with jacuzzi/hot tub, large cabana with lounge chairs, and steps to the giant wrap-around pool. The dining was excellent and had great variety of food and beverages..just dont forget to reserve your spot ahead of time. Otherwise there's a 24-hour buffet and room service for late-night munchies. The entertainment/nightlife was OK..I felt the nightclubs and casino could have offered more..although we all walked out winners on one or more nights! Also, the beach was clean and provided a beautiful setting for my friends wedding ceremony and reception. LANGUAGE BARRIER ALERT! The only thing I recommend is you learn some basic Spanish or bring a Spanish-speaking friend along with you. Please keep in mind you are travelling to a Spanish-speaking foreign country (not the same as Puerto Rico) Few staff members understood and spoke enough English to get by. Being Latino and very fluent in Spanish, I had to help out all my friends and girlfriend on more than one occassion..whether it was for directions, making reservations, ordering food and drinks, or bargaining with the peddlers. All in all I had a GREAT time, plan to visit again and would definitely recommend to anyone!

the staff was so friendly everywhere we went. the weather was actually the worst we have ever had on a trip( it was cloudy every day and rained terrential every night) but in spite of that we still had a great relaxing time. the weather was warm enough to swim; we had massages at the very zen-like spa and had nice dinners daily. the service at "passion" and "aqua" restaurants left alot to be desired but in contrast to that the italian restaurant "vento" had the best service and we ate there twice. also the most comfortable bed and pillows in our room. great friendly staff and beautiful contemporary decor throughout the hotel and the grounds are stunning too
