The first time I stayed at the hotel with my boyfriend was on March 2007, we loved so much that we came back on November 2007. It is a beautiful place. Last time I was really disappointed with the service and the inappropriate attitude of the gambling table attendant (women) at the casino. Most of them are hookers waiting for an opportunity for money. I found out them flirting to my boyfriend even when I was with him at the casino. I recommend you to watch for your other half when staying there.

I can't believe this place has had positive reviews in the past. First of all, the beach and pool were awesome! It is a shame that the rest of the resort is absolutely terrible. We were not able to get any reservations for dinner at all until we griped enough. It did not matter because the food was really bad. We had snorkling reservations canceled 4 times and finally got to go because we griped enough. The gift shop sold me some batteries that did not work. This was not a big deal until they refused to give me an exchange or my money back. Then I had to nearly get phisical with our concierge because he kept wanting us to sit through a TIME SHARE PRESENTATION. ( I told him NO atleast 15 times nicely.) He finally got the picture and left us alone. It was so bad that I tried to get flights out 3 days early. Unfortunately, there was no flights to be had. ( This is most likely due to people trying to leave Pardisius) We are really easy people to please and can not believe we had to go through so much trouble on our vacation. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!!

I went here for a wedding for my brother and was excited upon walking in and seeing how everything looked. Doing anything with the front desk is always a serious pain. The guy checking us in had no idea what he was doing and didn't understand my questions. The room we got was right near the road so all we heard were cars all night. They are constantly trying to take you promotional tours to up-sell you into their membership program - extremely annoying! There is only one place to eat breakfast and lunch daily (actually 2 for lunch for its seems like all the same food). There is no place to dine and be served during the day - only buffet. Dining at night was very inconsistent. We had one good night at a place that serves sushi and hibachi-style stir-fry: food was good, service was good. We had several occassions where just getting drinks during dinner was almost impossible and one time had to get up and grab the wine bottle myself to serve the table. They also rush you out if you have a 9:45 reservation because you are the last one's there. Tip: don't offer 9:45 reservations if you can't staff them. Even after all of that, the majority of the wedding party got sick and some that were sick went home with food poisoning and parasites. There is a general attitude is that they expect tips with bad service, which only gets worse when you don't tip. all inclusive includes service and tips are for exceptional service. The place looks beautiful but is offset by poor food and service, and the annoying soliciting of promotional tours of their membership program.

I like everyone else reads reviews before I go on vacation, so I wanted to make sure I wrote something when I returned from my WONDERFUL VACATION. Me & my husband could not ask for a better vacation. The resort was beautiful and the staff was wonderful. I just finishedreading the last review and couldn't understand how someone can have such a horrible time as such a beautiful place. The beach was wonderful, there was very little sea weed and that's where we spent most of our vacation. The pool was nice and has a swim up bar but we just preferred the beach. Yes, we went during what they the "soft season" so some of the restaurants were closed and the few that were open you needed a reservation but when we checked in the concierge sat us down and explained to us how everything worked. When you go to breakfast at the buffet there is an area where you can make you dinner reservations. We went and made reservations for about 3 nights the other nights we were able to go to dinner without reservations. The FOOD at all the restaurants WERE EXCELLENT. I honestly didn't expect the food to be so GOOD!! The only restaurant I did not love was the ITALIAN but I am from New York and am surrounded by the best Italian restaurants so I am a bit judgemental. The buffet was okay. The rooms were nice and there were some bugs but you are on an Island and can't expect it to be completely bug free but they honestly did not bother us. The staff was wonderful and even though we speak spanish mostly all the staff spoke multiple languages including English. I highly recommend this resort!! It's great for couples and families.

We read all the reviews about this resort. Some were helpful. My husband and I agree that in order to decide whether this place is worth it or not you need to try it, don't go by nobodys opinion. This resort is worth every penny, you are not going to be disatisfied at all. It is so beautiful. The pictures fall short to how beautiful the resort is in person. We were so pleased with everything. In our opinion we thought that five days was enough. Outside the resort there is nothing else to do. There is a shopping area not to far from the resort, but be warned it is really expensive. We did get sick for a day (stomach). Please make sure you bring pepto bismol, it is really expensive to buy this things at the gift shop in the resort. If you really like seafood this is the place to go. Everyday the menu included some sort of fish or seafood stew.

Just arrived home last night and I could not wait to get out of there. Main desk help Horrible-tried to upgrade took4 days-- Only certain people seemed intersted in you as a guest at their hotel-- others it was like pulling teeth EX.not all resturants open off season no one tells you that till you go to make a resv in them-- some nites 2 hour wait for dinner--roomservice quicker. Buugs in room the maid gave me bug spray for the baby roaches, Tip of the ice berg-- If the trip was free I would STAY HOME!!!!!!!!!! If you dont speak spanish or even a little it is impossible to accomplish anything as far as service!!!!! A waste of alot of money

My only complaint about this place was trying to procure reservations at the different restaurants. We were told that it was full but the two places we did eat at were half empty, and we had reservations for 8 & 8:30p. Otherwise, it was worth every penny!

Very little to say about Paradises Palma Royal. We loved it there. The Royal service was exactly that, fit for royalty!!! The staf smiled, said good morning, always asking what they can do for you. Up to this vacation, the Four Season's resort in Maui was the best we ever had, not any more. Punta Cana's Paradises, Palma Royal (with royal service) takse the cake, hands down. WOW what a relaxing vacation.

We LOVED IT.. From the moment you get in the hotel you will go to the Royal Service checking area (please DO get Royal Service is worth it) you are welcomed nicely and even ask if you want something to drink while you wait; you will also find in the same Royal Service area; 2 PC's with internet access and Free wireless access (if you want access in your room you will need a cable; bring one they will charge 12 for a cable to keep) The Royal Service Pool and private beach is great; the Pool guys (Ours: Galven and Pedro.. THE BEST) they will not let you go thirsty or without a Palapa (BIG BIG "umbrella" made of palm leaves with a balinese bed ) The Barman was also great he is always happy and will prepare any drink you want (with and without "vitamin" meaning liquor or not..) The food is really good; again with Royal Service you get your personal butler to ask for recomendations and he/she will make the reservations for you; the best restaurant for dinner was Gabi Beach the ambiance is really nice and not crowded; for lunch the Buffet is really good every day will have something different Overall I will go back with my eyes closed and will stay again in Royal Service area; that is even better if there are a bunch of people from companies staying at the hotel usuallyon the other side; the RS quarters are pretty quiet
