Hotel Paradis has an excellent location, central to shopping, old town, beach front, buses, etc. The hotel is small and the rooms basis but clean and cleaned every day.If you only intend to change and sleep in your room this is an ideal location, our room had a small balcony overlooking the street, fridge in room also,TV has only French speaking channels,Continental breakfast was delivered to our room every morning at 9am (exactly)BE PREPARED FOR THE LIFT it works well, but i"ve never seem nothing like it.

I don't understand why their other hotel has CNN on TV but not at this facility. They were very willing to move us from the top floor room which is not ready to be occupied and should not be assigned- they are used for storage etc. Our first floor room was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and liked being in a new area of the city. The desk was very helpful and accommodating. Good advice when asked and friendly manner. Lpved the area.

Unable to rate this hotel since we were replaced on arrival to a nearby hostel. When we arrived at the hotel the concierge was on a lunchbreak and there was a note for us saying that due to technical problems our room was unavailabe and that we should walk to a nearby one star hotel - In fact it was a sort of hostel, with very friendly staff however. We did not get a reduction in price and advice people to think twice before the choose Paradis due to lack of service and communication. Never the less we had a wunderful weekend in Nice - did some shopping, spend time at the beautiful beach, and went to the flower market in the old town.

Excellent location for a one night stopover in Nice. Room was fine, no frills, but you get what you pay for. Ideal for one or two nights, but would require more space for a longer stay.

On arrival there were no staff on reception another couple tried to help us find our key which should have been left in the safe, but wasn't!..Once the receptionist arrived he was welcoming and spoke good English, however he had no confirmation of our booking!! It was lucky as there was a room available in the hotel. The room was clean and fairly roomy, unfortunately the sink was not plumbed in and leaked over the bathroom floor, this was fixed later that day, but the bath towels used to mop up the water had not been replaced...next problem, there was no plug in the sink!!! This was not fixed during our stay...The TV wasn't tuned in properly either..It was noisy throughout the night this was mainly due to the central location...The hotel was a little disappointing. We wouldn't stay there again.

I found when travelling through large tourist cities in Europe that one needs to adjust to smaller sized accomodation which are often located in old buildings that have been modified and renovated.Having said this my criteria for rating a budget priced B&B is based on bed comfort, cleanliness of bathroom and of the bedroom, how quiet the room is and convenience of the B&B'S location to places of interest. In the case of Hotel Paradis I was more than satisfied with all of the above and it did not disappoint me from the pictures I saw on the web.

Hotel Paradis was not a very comfortable hotel. It was very small and very hard to find. No direct access to the hotel by car. Directions were terrible. they only good things about it is the location to the pedestrian walkway for restaurants and shops and of course the promenade and beach in Nice. Other than that it was not very nice. The beds were horrible and the rooms old and cramped. The bathrooms were good as most of them has just been renovated. It is not a place that I would reccommend to anyone.

Although we asked for a room with twin beds, they put us in a very small room with only one bed for the first night. No acoustic isolation: the neighbours weren't really noisy, but we could understand every word said in the next room. The breakfast mentioned in the description is not available, there is no breakfast room in the hotel. The good location in the city is the greatest asset of Hotel Paradis, very central and close to the Promenade des Anglais and Vieux Nice, the bus stop to and from the airport is just around the corner. Friendliness of staff is also a plus. But after 8 pm. there is no receptionist.

Clean, central position, nice staff. But that small room for 90 euro ! The roomstandard should not give a price higher than 65-70 Euro. And nearly impossible to have a big suitcase in the elevator, also very very small corridors. In 2003, our first stay at Paradise, we payed 55 E for a simular room.

The hotel was very well situated, close to beach, restaurants, shops and station. Staff was very helpfull and English speaking. Everything was nice and clean and I would recommend taking the breakfast. Only problem was noise outside (some guy was grinding something across the street early in the morning), but we were so tired from all the sightseeing that we didn't really mind.

It was not the newest Hotel but it was clean and nice and for this price an very good place. We have no breakfeast in this hotel because there were enough places around to do this better. One thing you have to know: We have the luck that not many people stay this weekend in the hotel but i think when it was full it is not very quiet in there. We hear everything from the room near us - and our neighbour was very busy at 3.oo in the night.

Hotel reception closes early, so no welcome, but excellent instructions for getting in. Room although small, was clean and tidy. carpet was a bit dirty by balcony, but was acceptable. Bathroom was spacious, and spotless. Towels changed if you ask each day. Room cleaned daily. We had a small balcony, with view of Albert 1er gardens, and sea on the horizon - worth asking for. Lovely, quiet location, yet few minutes walk to beach, restaurants, shops, etc. Staff polite, and helpful. Speak excellent English. Would certainly use again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Paradis, its location is superb, but our room [33] had soiled carpets and the ceiling in the bathroom was peeling badly. The shower had a missing wall bracket and had to be hand held. Other rooms appeared to be in better condition from glimpses we had of them.
