Wonderful Customer ServiceA fantastic find in Cagliari - wonderful views from restuarant and sea view rooms. I would recommend hiring a car to explore as you are a little out of town although I believe public transport is good and the bus stop is very close to the hotel.We hired a car from Elmas airport which is only 15 mins from the hotel as we were going to be meeting people off a crusise ship in Cagliari (port 5 mins away), driving is not for the faint hearted though and we would suggest you are used to driving on the right before attempting Sardinia. (like Italy, the drivers are a little mad!) However, that said a little caution is all that is needed.As for the actual hotel, our room although a little small for european standards was still bigger than most in the uk, the beds are all queen sized doubles (twin singles pushed together - but do not come apart). They are very clean, but basic although we did have a mini bar, the sheets/towels are changed every 2 days inc Sunday but the mini bar is not stocked on a Sunday. The bathrooms vary - we had a Jacuzzi bath with very good shower - but this has to be requested and it is pot luck if you get it, again the cleanliness is fantastic.The resturant is second to none and fairly good prices for the meals, offering starters, first course, main course, sides and dessert. (remember to order your sides with the main as you only get the meat or fish). The waiters will fillet the fish in front of you - so if like us you are a little squeamish having your fish served with it's head on, they remove it for you!The menu does not change and therefore if you stay more than a week or a fussy eater, you are quite limited. Wine can be served by the 1/4 litre so if only one person drinks you still get an opportunity to try the wine.It appears that they are happy to have families in the restuarant at night - which is fine as long as you don't get the hyperactive, french 3 year old that screams at the top of his voice and runs around

We had a great week at the Hotel Panorama and thought it was in a good position for both the Poetto Beach and the City.
