We had a VERY plesant stay at The Palms Hotel. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Especially to my 2 year old daughter. Who insisted that one of the owners broke off from cooking breakfast to say good bye to her.

EXCELLENTWe found the staff very accommodating although the rooms were only to be taken after 2.00 we had a wedding to attend at 1.00 and needed to change, they gave us a room to get ready in while they arranged another room for our stay. the room was large airy and very clean. We will be sure to recommend this hotel in the future.

We stayed a Sunday nightThe Room was comfortable & so was the Four poster bed.The breakfast was freshly cooked, tasty & as much as we could eat.The landlady was helpfull, cheerful & polite. The vista from the room was excellent, overloking the park as it did.All in all a good place to stay for as long as you would wish.

Wife and I stayed here for an overnight stop without the kids! Booked the Four poster room for a nice change. Staff were friendly and even though we arrived around 12, we were able to book in and use the room. Breakfast was very nice and I think the comments about it being small is a little unfair given that there was also cereals and juice and toast available. If I had one niggle, I would have liked to have seen black out curtains in the room as the street lighting along Babbacombe road was a little intrusive. Be aware for parking, there are 2 spaces on the back and anything larger than a Scenic size car may have difficulty parking as the car will overhang in the lane, however, there is plenty of adjacent parking nearby. Overall, a very nice stay.

The family who run the hotel were very helpfull in finding us a safe place to leave our Harley Davidson. The breakfast was well cooked and presented, as was the dining room, public areas. The bedrooms were homely with plenty of little touches.

Initially picked hotel for location and room - we had booked a four poster room that was on offer - stay was for a birthday and we wanted something a little better. Problem over booking meant room already booked but didnt show as such when we booked on laterooms. Instead we had a family room ie double bed and bunk beds. Adequate for stay. Bedroom very nice however bathroom a little tired. Owner apologic about mix up. Location excellant. Just a few minutes to harbour, bars and very good restaurants.

Good quality hotel. Central location - although parking could have been a problem in high season. Very friendly staff and warm friendly atmosphere. Very child friendly.

If you like a big breakfast may be best to find alternative hotel! Good home-cooked food but not a lot of it!

Excellent hotel, very well equipped, my single room had freeview and its own mini fridge which after years of staying in various hotels around Torquay, have never experienced either of these before. Worth mentioning the breakfast as well, very nice.

Hotel was quite good with very friendly hotel manager. I considered Breakfast was served too early 8.30-9.30am meant you had to rush out of bed. Nice little parking at the rear of hotel and hotel manager was ready to help provide alternative parking wasd there to be a parking problem.

Very tired and in need of modernisation, the room was okay, but the en-suite was not very clean and had mould around the shower. All in all a hotel that gives our resorts a bad name
