We were given an upgrade to a suite, as this was our honeymoon. Excellent view w/ window balconies overlooking the Grand Canal. Nice quiet neighborhood and location on the canal, even though it is convenient. Based on the map, we thought it was much closer to the Rialto Bridge, but it's about a 10 minute walk and still an excellent location. Hotel has it's own dock so the water taxi from the airport pulled right up and no need to have to move our own luggage. The cheaper water bus stop is right outside, too.

Overall we had a very nice stay. The only disappointment I had was that the room did not have a canal grande wiew despite being in the best/most expensive category on Venere pages. When I asked for this, I was first given the option to have a room with a wiew for one night (prebooked for the rest of our stay for someone else, I appreciated the offer). After a short walk we decided to take upon the offer, but at that time point a supplementary charge (of which there was no mention on the web pages and which was not mentioned in the previous discussion)was brought up by the manager of the reception, who was the only person whose attitude was not as friendly as it could be- all the other services were simply terrific as were the other employees. Nevertheless, this little incident left a bit bitter taste in my mouth for a little while. Otherwise the hotel was simply excellent and the location right next to a vaporetto stop very good. Very nice and quiet surroundings despite a relatively central location. The room was very good.

Gorgeous hotel. Wonderful location. Wonderful staff. The hotel's private dock on the Grand Canal is a rare convenience in Venice & the windows & french doors opening to overlook the Grand Canal was heaven! We hope we are so lucky as to visit the Palazzo Sant'Angelo again.

was a beautiful hotel, staff was helpful, breakfast was great, room was very hot and had to keep windows open which made it kind of loud. Very close to vaporetti and convenient to Rialto and St. Mark's square. would recommend

Our only dissapointment with the Palazzo Sant'Angelo is that we did not receive a canal view room as we requested. Nonetheless, the room we received was very spacious and quiet, the bath had a jacuzzi tub, and the breakfast was very nice. Overall, the hotel has an excellent location, and we would stay there again, though we would like to receive confirmation of the room location.

absolutely LOVED this hotel. I travel a lot for business and vacation, and I rate this among the best I've stayed in. From the first monent to the last, all the employees I encountered were professional and welcoming. The one important thing to note is that the vaporetto that stops in front of the hotel doesn't run after 23:00, so beware.

the quality of the breakfast could be better. For ex., the hotel in Verona :San Marco was far better regarding this item.: fresch cereals(packed),frescher cold milk, nicer fruit salad, homemade pastries.
