In 1937, the ruins of the most important, the so-called Ludus Magnus, were discovered between Via Labicana and Via San Giovanni in Laterano. As early as 1500 the Casino Guidi, a hunting lodge in the Guidi Gardens, stood near this ancient settlement. The historical building was transformed into a small but stately Gladiatori Hotel from where guests can admire the beautiful monuments of Imperial Rome.
