We enjoyed the room. We also enjoyed the hotel itself. The resturants, were great. The theme was nice. The pools were great after a long day walking the Strip, or Freemont. It far enough away from the noise, but close enough to the fun. Only real down fall was the hidden $14.99 charge for "Hotel Service Fee." That was nightly. $104.93 that we could have used better, when your on a budget, thats a deep check-in surprise.

Being able to split your hand in blackjack and then double down on any two cards was a nice treat. Splitted two 7s and pull two 2s against the dealer's 6 - Beng able to double down twice paid for the room and then some.

Decent casino and bars. Too expensive for where and what it is.

Courtyard rooms are older part of hotel but near the pool and spa. Rooms have recently been upgraded and the bathrooms with new tile showers. The first room that the front desk gave me was horrible. Musty smell, cigarette burns on the carpet and window facing employee entrance and loading dock but when I requested a room change, they happily switched me to a nicer room. Beware of the $16.00 Resort charge. All that you get is access to the fitness center and long distance calls from the room phone. Another problem was that the ice machine on my floor was not working so I had to go to another floor the find a working ice machine.

Close by the freeway, easy to get to casino near by the courtyard hotel section we were in. Rooms were very small, but not bad for the price.

The booking price for the Palace Station hotel is misleading. The hotel charges $16 a day for a pool fee at the front desk, even if you don't use it. In spite of arriving at 8:30pm, the front desk refused to waive the pool fee for even that day. On the last day of a four night stay, I again asked for a partial credit since we never used the pool. They refused and the curt reply was, "Look at this way, today we are raising the pool fee." That means that with over a thousand rooms, the hotel is raking in $16,000 a day to maintain a pool that is used by only a few guests. The other problem was the greatly reduced shuttle service to the strip. On my first visit three years ago, the shuttle to the strip was hourly and stopped at the northern (Fashion Mall) and southern end (Tropicana) of the strip. Today, the shuttle starts service late in the afternoon at 4pm. Because the hotel is so far away from the strip, there is nothing to see except the busy roadway. It costs about $17 in taxi fare to get to the strip each way. The hotel is a bad deal. Very unhappy and will not be staying there again.

I found the Hotel room as spacious as many of the 4 star units and the Staff was very friendly and they had a free brakfast buffet that was very good.

The location was good. Extra hotel fees added to the daily room rate. I did not like the fact that I was charged extra fees without prior notification.

Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else! Resort Fee? What resort? Amazing how they can turn 2 nights at $*into a bill for $*. Supposedly to cover shuttle to strip (I had my own vehicle), Local in room calls ( had my cell phone) Wireless internet access ( I had not a laptop or other means to access the internet) I told them I was not going to use any of the services, put they insisted on collecting the fees anyway. What a great way to impress a first time and last time guest. Checking in and out was slow, Too few staff and or to many people complaining about being hosed for "hotel fees". Room was noisy and not so clean. I had to put on my noise cancelling headphones. I had to throw out some straw wrappers that were left on the night stands and pick up some unidentified material from the floor. This made me wonder about the bedding, however it appeared to be fresh. Hotel staff were non responsive. The bathroom was so small that they only have small showers. Best part of the stay was the orange smelling soap and shampoo. I booked the room through tripres.com. When I went back to the website after returning home there was a small note stating a $9.95 fee that I missed when I booked the room. This was my fault; I should have read the small print better. Yet somehow that grew to $10.95 in the several days between booking and arriving. I am not usually one to complain, However I would not send friends of family to stay here.

Locating. Extra fees that were not disclosed in any pre information. $17 fees for services that no one was using. Fee for shuttle service that is not available. No pre disclosure of the additional fees in any pre information prior to booking and checking in. Not a smart move on the palace stations part. Will not stay nor recommend again.

Had a non smoking room which actually was non smoking (threat of 250 buck fine if you smoke in the room. Great, but thats about the only place in the complex you can actually get away from the smoke. No ventilation in casino, and no non smoking tables. Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were average at best. You get what you pay for.

Just checked out today enjoyed my stay my daughter booked this room for me so we were unaware of the 100.00 charge and was not prepared for that so the room clerk waiver the charge and just charged us the 10.75 after we explained we had 2 cellphones we are older no movies just needed to sleep room was nice and clean not like others said and we played slots whic we won a few coins but people who are complaining so much need to stay at encore or wynn for better service the rate was very good here and I would stay again and they had a starbucks right in hotel.
