They were mowing the lawn, even on Saturday and Sunday (sic!) forcing you to go out. The noise was very loud and annoying. Otherwise it was very OK, some kind of shock was the high taxes you have to pay: My bill was $350 instead of $300 (2 nights), because of various taxes and fees. Be aware, you have to pay for the beach, $5 per day. There are discounts if you stay 3 days or more.

The hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful. Room and hallway are too small. The entrance to the room is too small and too close together. The parking space is under the hotel and ceiling is way too low. If you have an SUV with an additional storage container on the roof, the SUV will not fit. There are some spaces that are not under to hotel but not a lot. The hallway is way too small. The entrance to two adjacent room have small alcove where the two doors are next to each other to form a L shape. So, every time you enter to your room or your neighbors enter their room will have to have by each other doors. This little alcove cause echo that you can hear very clear through the close door. At night it is very noisy when your neighbor go in and out of their room. The price we pay for it was the only thing that we were okay about. The WiFi does not reach all room. The WiFi is strongest at the reception desk at the end of the other end of the hall. If you get the room at other end you pretty much have no chance. The hotel's staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. We were okay with the hotel because we were just looking for a place to sleep. We were only planning to stay in the hotel room when we go to bed and expect to out the rest of the time anyway.

We usually stay at another hotel in town but when I called they were booked up. They suggested I call the Palace and I'm glad I did. The staff were all so friendly and my room was comfortable and clean. Geez, my husband even remarked on this. We enjoyed their free continental breakfast and the nice man at the desk gave us trolley ride tickets for a tour around town. They don't have a fitness room but the hotel is across from the beach (I jog) and the view from my balcony was awesome (had my coffee out there every morning). The price was great too for a weekend in Cape May. My husband and I look forward to another stay at the Palace.

Location was fine for recent trip but for vacation not the best. Quiet but there were no guests. Fairly clean but maintainance somewhat subpar. No dining. No pool. Staff all very friendly.

Staff was friendly. Very old, cheap looking, totally lacking everything I was expecting. Not worth the money! This hotel is in a good location, but the hotel room was extremely dated and very much of an eye sore. The blankets were also very scratchy and looked gross.

We reserved 3 nights based on the pics on their website and brochure, at ""The Palace"" and when we pulled up, it was no Palace. It looked like some cheesy motel on a side road with a large neon sign on Beach Ave. We did not want to even go in and could not get another room in town for the 3 nights so we had to go back to NY. According to their policy when I called there was no refund for the first.

The hotel is in a great location (across the street from the beach)in Cape May, and a short walk to shops & dining. Refrigerator in room was nice to have. Room was adequate in size and clean however; door keys/locks desperately need replacing (both to room and balcony. Amenities and room decor also need updating. Adequate (not great) continental breakfast included.

The Palace Hotel of Cape May was very convenient to the beach with off - street parking. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were modest but clean and comfortable. The amenities were adequate for our purposes.
