This was the best place I've stayed in Italy (I visited twice). It was a very good value for our money. The woman who greeted us was extremely nice and helpful, suggesting places to eat and things to do. Breakfast was good as well. The hotel is also in a nice location because it's not too far from either the Termini or all the "action" of downtown Florence, and yet its in a pretty quiet location far from other tourists. I highly recommend this place.

The size of the shower opening is very small, severly limiting access. Anyone over 165 pounds would probably be unable to access the shower without difficulty.

Welcoming staff with good english. Good location near to river with moderate walk into centre of town. Had mix up at start as i had requested a twin room online and the room was set up as a double. My mother and i split the beds ourselves as they said they could only make it a double the next day. Minor thing but we felt they could have been more accomodating. Generally very pleasant stay with lovely coffee but bread abit dry at breakfast.

The hotel is situated just 10 minutes walking from the main attractions in Florence. It is on a calm, residential street. The hotel and the rooms are nicely decorated, the staff is nice and helpful and the breakfast is very good. The room is spacious and offers everything you may need for a 2-3 days stay. Beds are very comfortable. The overall quality-price is really good. There is a car parking on the next street, we were lucky though, because you could leave the car in front of the hotel for free during August. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Delightful family run hotel. The neighborhood is convenient to the city center, but just a long enough walk to be away from heavy traffic. Mixed-use neighborhood, easy to walk across the Arno, to the Duomo, the parks, etc. Down-to-earth accomodations and people.... very lovely.

This was our first stay in Hotel Pagnini. This is a family owned hotel and they were all so very nice - friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, but the shower was very small. It was one of the nicest breakfasts - fresh served coffee, fruit and warmed cornettos.

Well located for me... Far from all tourists but yet easy to get to the center of the city.Close to the train station (excellent when you have no car).Hotel staff (a family) very nice and helpful and welcoming.Breakfast included with good coffee. Only bad thing, they have internet but it's 8 euros an hour...Which is ridiculous because around the hotel you can find internet points way cheaper. I would recommend it and would go back.

Was just as the other reviews advised, nice, small family run hotel. The room was bigger than we expected. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fresh, the milk cold and the tea hot. They made a good cappucino for afternoon tea. The airconditioning was ok but probably not as cold as we have at home.

Hotel Pagnini is in a relatively quiet neighborhood location but within walking distance of all major sites. Moreover, it is only a block away from the river, car rental offices and some very good restaurants. The staff (owners?) are wonderfully warm and make you feel at home right away. Overall, a very good choice.

The staff were very competent and friendly. The lounge/bar area with Wifi access was a welcome change. The rooms were very large, with appropriate bathrooms, although they did smell a little, which seemed to be from old plumbing/pipes. The hotel was located very close to the city centre, 8 mins walk.

The instructions given for the location of the hotel was accurate and we had no trouble finding it. We had a very quiet room, with a king size bed. It was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent too! The front desk staff spoke very good English and highlighted quite a number of sites for us to visit.

Our stay was wonderful. The hotel is small and family run. The staff was very helpful. Most spoke good English. The room was clean, quiet, and nicely decorated. In advance of the trip we requested that the hotel make museum reservations and they did. They also gave us useful information about Florence. I'd recommend this hotel to friends and if in Florence again, will stay there. With the exchange rate we paid $160 per night which is more that I usually pay in the US. Relative to the competition it is priced fairly but not a deal. There are no deals in Italy.

Nice hotel. Great breakfast. Nice owners. About a 20 min walk from Duomo and main attactions. Which late at night was not the most comfortable. There aren't any attactions directly around the hotel except a nice walk along the Arno river. Very small shower about 24" square so if you're over 160lbs make sure to ask for a room with a larger shower.

The family that runs Pagnini exude hospitality and kindness. They simply do it right. I would reccommend the hotel to any traveler, especially if you want a good, safe, clean, quiet location, right near the train station. Loved it.
