We enjoyed the spacious rooms and the great location.

We selected The Pacific Palisades because its location was near our daughter's home, shopping, and downtown. With the savings afforded by using Orbitz it was a very good choice. The room, service, and amenities were superb. We definitely will consider this choice again when we return to Vancouver.

The location and the pool were the best part.

We were upgraded to the King Suite- always nice to have extra space and a kitchen area. We were able to walk to everything- shopping, great restaurant choices( check out the Banana Leaf on Denman!! Great Malaysian place), Gastown, Chinatown, Davie St...and more. This is the only hotel in Vancouver I will stay at from now on.

I was blown away by the amazing staff, everyone from housekeeping to the hotel operator was genuinely freindy and helpful. Our room was beautiful, views were breath taking and we were very centrally located. My only advice is to skip the hotel restaurant. Food was very mediocre and very over priced. It was a bit of a downer but other than that minor disappointment of the restaurant. I suggest the Pacific Palisades 100%!!!!!!

This was like staying in a nice apartment downtown with very friendly and helpful staff. I loved the cheery colors and balcony overlooking Robson Street. I have already recommended it to friends for their cruise stay in August.

Staff was super helpful. I called in advance to ask about a couple of things -- could I get a blender in the room? Did they have an ipod hook-up? Could we get a room in a high floor with a view? All were answered in the affirmative, and then there was a follow-up call once we checked in to make sure all was well. Also, I was trying to track down an obscure ingredient for a Turkish dish and had visited a few stores, but no one had it. I called the front desk, and [...] said he'd research it for me. The next morning there was a letter from him and an article he'd printed out steering me towards a Turkish restaurant! Very thoughtful and helpful. Everyone was very friendly. The location is awesome. Two blocks away from Urban Fare, a gourmet-type grocery and eatery. About 5 blocks from Denman where all the bicycle rentals are close to Stanley Park, and about 4 block to the Vancouver Art Gallery. The pool, hot tub and steam were a perfect late afternoon relaxing treat, if you don't opt for the free wine in the lobby. Doormen are super friendly, too. The decor in the room was lemon yellow and spring green, a little lively for my taste, but the beds are dreamy and I love having a "kitchenette". Pretty minimal, but it's nice to be able to eat in without it being a production. I would definately stay there again.

Funky decor and views. Beds were double rather than queen. Funky, fun, upscale.

this is the 2nd kimpton hotel i've stayed in the last 2 months. my overall experience of their offerings has been very positive: helpful staff -after a minor glitch in the reservation, they upgraded my room! beautiful surroundings of course, evening wine, restaurant all very well presented. i will look for these hotels first when travel beckons.

My company hosted a reception at this hotel and it was terrific. They are very accommodating, friendly, and professional. The location of the hotel is perfect - right on Robson St. Some of the guest rooms allow for a wonderful waterview & you can watch the cruise ships coming and going. I would stay here again!

Staff was nice enough, rooms were smaller then expected, but clean. The worst part was parking garage. To get from the garage to your room you must go a back route which is rather dismal.

Great location right off the main shopping street - Robson! I stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and it was spacious with a kitchenette, great views. Great restaurant, friendly staff.

I thought this was a lovely hotel with very friendly staff. I stayed an entire week and enjoyed it. My only complaint is that the hotel website states it has free high speed internet, which is actually a DSL cable in the hotel room that wasn't compatible with my sony VAIO. And it is only free if you sign up to be in their Kimpton group (which is also free). So keep that in mind if you intend to use the internet in your room. Other than that I highly recommend this hotel.

We love the location and the friendly staff. Pay to park. The hotel is on Robson, so it can be noisy. Location is awesome. Staff is always friendly. Rooms are spacious. Jacuzzi and pool are a bonus. Staff is prompt to requests.

Beautiful hotel right in the heart of shopping on Robson St. Hotel staff was amazing and extremely helpful with all our questions as this was our first trip to Vancouver. View from our room on the 15th floor was breath taking. Our room (King Exec Suite) was large, comfortable with all the amenities. Hotel hosts a wine reception for guests every evening which was a nice perk. You can walk to seawall and Stanley Park from the hotel. Lots of nice restaurants within walking distance. Tons of shopping right out the door and if you like to people watch, Robson St. is the place to be-especially on the week-ends. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend just to getaway and it was great. It was very romantic but not in a stuffy way. The free wine hour is great! You can not beat the location right on Robson street. Room service directly from Zin (the hotel restaurant) is great - especially for breakfast in bed! We also brought our dogs and they were treated just as good as we were - including a welcome food/water dish and home made bones!

I enjoyed my stay - colorful decor, nice sized, clean rooms. However, it was a bit modern for my taste, and I prefer more old-school charm. Also, not being a big city person by nature, I did not care for the location on Robson Street, which had mostly chain retail stores, and felt overcrowded and dirty. There was an extensive choice of good restaurants nearby, and I enjoyed the easy walking distance to Stanley Park and other neighborhoods nearby.

Location, friendliness of staff. They totally missed my wake-up call. Great location, decent rooms, nice amenities, very friendly staff, complete failure of wake-up call.
