Hi All, I stayed at the Pacific Hotel ( 30 Cua Nam street) from 9th --14 February,2009. I would like to give special thanks to the staff at this great hotel, The staff were professional, experienced and very helpful to me. The service was excellent, the room was very big and comfortable. The breakfast offered a wide variety of food, much more than the usual small hotel in Hanoi. The hotel operates a great tour desk ---good trips, value for money. I would certainly consider returning there, when I am there next year. Thanks again to the staff!

Stayed August 10 - 12, 2008 Our stay at the Hanoi Pacific Hotel was memorable and comfortable. The Superior room was equipped with a stocked mini-bar (beer, soft drinks and water), the A/C was excellent and overall I would highly recommended staying at this location. The staff was extremely friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable. We had booked a tour to Halong Bay and unfortunately had to cancel due to typhoy weather conditions. The staff was extremely apologetic and refunded the majority of our payment less cancellation fees. This is to be expected. In addition, the staff did everything they can to rearrange our travel plans due to the weather conditions. The morning buffet breakfast was well stocked with a good mixture of Western and Vietnemese. Thank-you you to Hana, Tung, Vi and Tiem and the remainder of the friendly helpful, knowledgeable staff. It's a good quality property for the money. D. G. Yakey

Really nice place to stay - friendly staff, nice price, great location and really good rooms with all equipment you need. Nice also with a place to eat so close and with the common rooms. We didn't stay long enough to join the activities the hotel arranged, but next time we're in Hanoi, we're definitely gonna come back here! We will recommend Pacific Hotel to people in the future. I stayed one night in the Pacific Hotel and I had a nice room with a comfortable queen size bed not on the street. Room was quiet and very clean as are the bathrooms/toilets and you can swing a cat, which is always helpful.

We stayed in a deluxe room at the Pacific for 2 nights. The room we had was a nice size and big bathroom with shower. The room was very clean and comfortable. Fresh fruit and bottled water everyday. The price was very reasonable (with tax approx 55 USD) and included breakfast. We enjoyed our stay at Pacific and definitely will stay here again on my next trip.

I am a regular poster on the VN Forums, but I rarely post a review of a hotel for the simple reason that I am unaware of other peoples tastes! I would, however, like to give this hotel the " thumbs up" big time. I have stayed at this hotel at least 8 times in the last 6 years after looking for one that suits my needs. . This hotel has some of the largest rooms of any 2-3 star hotel I have stayed in VN provided you book rooms 101-601( 7 story hotel), they have 2 queen sized beds, sitting area and a small balcony, carpeted and comfortable ensuite rooms / linen changed daily. . The hotel has an efficient lift service. . The staff are as good as it gets in VN definitely 7 star service. . The hotel has never failed to collect me at the airport and charge the regular fare of $10USD. . The booking desk is first class, can rival any agent in town, guarantee you value for money. . The Breakfast though modest is a lot better than most 2-3 star hotels a good variety not the normal very modest range. . The rooms I have mentioned have at least 5 sets of lighting systems in the rooms good for working and reading at night. . The rooms mentioned have modern broadband computers in them free. . The hotel is 800 metres from the Lake ( no more than the Army or the Opera House Hotel) a pleasant walk through the Old Quarter its in a " Vietnamese area" with good variety of good little restaurants. . Its a short walk to the War Museum , the West Lake District and Uncle Ho's resting place! All in All, one of my favorite hotels and value for money! Highly recommended by someone who has spent 30 months in Vietnam in 9 years! Go for it!

I usually use this hotel when I stay in Hanoi. I stay Superior room(30USD/night). Frankly speaking the room is not gorgeous, but it is clean and nice with Air-condition, CableTV, fresh fruits and free Internet connectivity. I think that it is extremely reasonable for the traveler who want to save money. And hotel staffs are very kind and friendly. They try to support my stay in Hanoi. They have experiences as a travel agency, too. They can arrange and support our tour. I asked them to get tickets for water puppet show and they got them for me. Every time I need a taxi from hotel, they call a good taxi company, so far I have no trouble with a taxi driver they call. Hotel is located near Hanoi station. And we can find some good restaurants. And it is bit far, but we can walk to the Hoankiem Lake. If weather is nice, I strongly recommend to walk to that area. As a conclusion, I am very satisfied with Pacific Hotel and I am pretty sure I will stay this hotel again as far as the room is available.

After traveling a great deal in Asia I have found there are some specific characteristics of a hotel that are very important to the average backpacker. First and foremost, the staff was very friendly and spoke excellent english. In addition, the food at the hotel was very good and the servitors greeted me with enormous smiles on their faces as I made my requests. My bed was softer than my own in Beijing which is not saying much, but I slept like a baby so there were no complaints. All in all, this was a great hotel, and its central location makes it ideal for anyone wishing to see this marvelous city.

The hotel is very well-situated in Hanoi; it is an easy walk to the old quarter, without being in the middle of the chaos. Breakfast in the ground floor restaurant was basic. We were all most impressed with the friendly and helpful staff. We will definitely stay at this hotel when we return to Hanoi, and would recommend it to anybody.

Excellent value with great service. This hotel is very clean, modern, and most of all quiet. The location is great - right in the heart of the Old Quarter and where all the action is. The staff were extremely polite and helpful, The buffet breakfast was great and had many choices to choose. I highly recommend Pacific Hotel.
