We loved staying at this hotel and can't wait to go back! We stayed here for our 1st Anniversary in which we upgraded to an Ocean View room. Best decision ever! We stayed in the Reef tower in one of the lower rooms right next to the water. The staff wasn't kidding when they said any closer - we would be wet. The waves crashed right by our room and we could hear the ocean all night as we slept. The pictures on the website of the rooms are very accurate to what the ocean view rooms look like. Beautiful views. It would have been nice to have a bigger shower, but it was just the same type of bath/shower in any other hotel. And there is a $12 mandatory parking fee.

The location of the hotel can't be beat - it is on the ocean and a block or so from downtown Laguna. The room we stayed in (75) was small but from the doorway we could see the ocean. Inside the room it had a door to join it to the room in front of it. The door didn't fit very well & we could see sunlight coming from the other room and could hear everything that the other people were saying. Our air conditioner didn't work, but when we told the front desk they had it fixed right away. The carpet smelled musty. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small but adequate. The closet didn't have doors on it. There was a small refrigerator in the room. The beach towels were the size of dish towels - make sure to bring your own. There was an attendant on the beach who would set up beach chairs & umbrellas for you (nice). It is no Surf & Sand (more like a Motel 6) but it is 1/3 the cost. If you are a young family and have kids it is perfect.

Older place that could use a face lift but was OK for a beach location. Our balcony was right over the beach so the view was unbeatable. We ate some of our meals on our balcony because of the view and sound of the waves. Some of the doors stick so the sound of slamming doors did get to be a bit much. Over all a really nice experience.

After pre-paying entire bill 2 months in advance, they requested credit card upon check-in for "incidentals and PARKING at $12+tax/day" NO WHERE in our Orbitz contract is extra parking cost mentioned!!!We had called to indicate late arrival. Hotel is a complicated clumping of rooms on the Beach. After dumping us at a room that was NOT the contracted kitchenette it took over an hour to get the correct room and then more time for an engineer to drill a safety lock on the sliding door so we could enjoy the breezes and sounds in SAFETY(are we the only ones to come up with this novel concept?

We stayed at the Pacific Edge Hotel for a wedding. Both of my children came along. The location was great in the middle of town on the ocean. My husband and I stayed in a oceanfront room. We really like the price range of the rooms. Both my children stayed in their own room. The kids enjoyed the location and the pool. Also the convience of all the restraunts in the area. We loved the Art Galleries with some great art. We would recommend staying at the Pacific Edge hotel.

We went for 3 wonderful nights. We stepped out on our balcony and you would have thought you were on a cruise ship that had a balcony. You were that close to the ocean. The staff was friendly,helpful...The beds had pillow top mattress's with tons of pillows and the softest linens and down comforter...what great VALUE for the money.

We had a perfect view of the ocean from our balcony. It took 3 minutes to walk and be on the beach. And the hotel is one block away from a store, a nice coffee shop with great good, and pretty much everything else you would need. We never had to drive anywhere in the 3 nights we were there! The room was on the older side, but it was still nice and clean and had a huge bath spa. My husband and I had a great stay with beautiful sunsets each night!

We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the ocean! The view couldn't have been any better and we would see dolphins swimming by every morning! The room was spacious and very clean, although the coffee pot's location in the bathroom was a little awkward. The Beach House restaurant had gorgeous views of the ocean and excellent food and we were within walking distance to many other restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our only problem was not always having a beach attendant available for towels and umbrellas. However, overall this was an absolutely wonderful experience and I can't imagine staying anyplace else on future trips to Laguna Beach! We can't wait to return. (The hotel also contributes to the Pacific Marine Mammal Rescue Center which is a great place to visit just up the street.)

Like most hotels in Laguna, this is an older beach bum type of place. The rooms were updated recently but not many have the sweet views shown on the web site. Many of them are 1/2 block off the beach on an alley. Lot's of people were walking through the alley late at night so it was a little noisy. All-in-all, for the great Orbitz rate, it was a very good deal for Laguna, especially with the location 1 block from the Laguna downtown area. I would stay there again if the rate were right.

We had a room on the Oceanside and it was amazing! Beautiful location, quiet and friendly. The room was very clean and out two children under 3 had an amazing time. Who couldn't with a beach like that so close. Wow. We watched sea lions and dolphins play in the water from out deck and never needed the TV.

The location was horrible because it sat right on a busy street so you were almost guaranteed to get into an accident just pulling into the parking lot of the hotel. The room seemed to be updated as far as style, everything looked old and out of date. There wasn't even a tub. When the heater was utilize it made the room smell like something had been burning. The refrigerator was a nice touch and worked well. It would have been nice to have a microwave as well. The hotel did sit right on the beach which was very pleasant. The office staff was very accomodating and took really good care of us.

Vacation Village has a great location. My reccomendation is this... If your looking for a great location at a pretty decent price, vacation village is your pick, however if your looking for that dream vacation and want excellent service, YOU WILL BE DISSAPOINTED!

lots of nice rooms, we had 4 rooms, they were all together and we had a great time the night before my daughters wedding. I would stay again in a heartbeat! I must say you have the most comfortable beds I have ever had in a hotel All in all our stay was wonderful.

I had stayed at this hotel previously and I liked the fact that it was so close to the beach, restaurants and sights of the area. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told I could have an upgrade to an oceanfront suite with a kitchenette, jacuzzi tub and king size bed!! I got one of the worst rooms in the hotel, facing the street, very noisy, no counter top in the bathroom (I had to lay my toothbrush on the top of the toilet-gross!) Needless to say, if I ever stay at Vacation Village again, I will either pay more to get a decent room, or call right away and insist on my choice.

This is a older but very nice hotel. The staff was great and prompt with everything we asked for. Our only complaint was no continental breakfast and the room and bathroom was on the small side, but we would stay again.
