Pacific Crest Inn by the Sea is a charming hotel; two stories U shaped building with a heated pool in the middle and covered parking in the back. The rooms are clean, comfortable and instill warmth and coziness. The Inn is in a great location, only one and a half block from Santa Barbara's most pristine East Beach and the very popular boardwalk with a bike and rollerblading lane. The hotel is only two miles from downtown and historic Old Town part. Large varieties of recreational activities are available and conveniently located within a close distance.

Was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the room was. Safe, clean, and no nonsense. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The beach is right there. And you got Trader Joes just a few blocks away.I liked the no frills of this place.

When i first saw the hotel in person i was a little worried it would not fit the reviews i read. But the staff was helpful and made great eating recommendations. It is a literally across the street from the beach. And the rooms were cozy clean and well kept. For the price and location i could not have asked for a better honeymoon spot :-)

The staff was friendly. The room was clean but tiny. Bathroom closet-sized. Many signs of amateur self-maintenance: Cracked shower door glass glued with caulk, visible sloppy repairs to wall fixtures. No radio, but nice flat screen TV. Location is convenient to the beach, but there is no affordable restaurant within a mile. The price I paid via CheapTickets was $15 more than the price I saw on their banner as I left.

Excellent value. Friendly desk clerk. Good location, near beach. Quiet neighborhood. Basic amenities. No problems. Stayed here before and we'll be back.

This property is older but it was very clean. Front desk was curtious and very helpful. Literally, across from the beach. And Parking was no hassle at the hotel. Santa Barbar roomrates are high but it was hard to swallow.

We have been to Santa Barbara many times and have stayed in a wide range of hotels there. This one was by far the biggest disappointment. The room was very large and the location was fine but the balcony with an ocean view consisted of a view of the parking lot next door. The hotel is very old and run down and no attempt to upgrade or redecorate has been made. Our room looked like it was once a small apartment but instead of giving us access to kitchen facilities and more space there were just several mysterious locked doors. If this had been a budget priced hotel I could have overlooked some of these things but we were charged a ridiculous price for a substandard hotel room.

The hotel was not fancy but neither was the price. This was perfect. within walking distance of the ocean. i would stay there again.

The motel was very close to the beach and had a decent location, but the room was very dated and quite basic. The staff was friendly but the facility really needed general upkeep, and I would not recommend it

The bed was very lumpy and when you roller over or moved a little it would squeek like mice. The air conditioner was open the door wide open, slide the 2 windows as far as they would go and pray for a cool breeze. My windows opened to the apartment next door so the heavy draps were always drawn shut as the people on that balconey could look directly into our room, the poor people next door had to close their windows that opened to the motel sun deck and landing and door @ night. The place was clean but it had a very slight musty odor. Did not use the pool as some one's dog was running around it when we first arrived instead walked to the beach 2 blocks away. The money payed could get you a better place to sleep and relax at night for the next day. We didn't get either.

The Pacific Crest Inn by the Sea is no Inn. It is more like a motel. While it's location is great, the rooms are old and not the cleaniest place in town. The place is small and you can hear everything as the walls seem to be paper thin. I would not stay hear again and would not recommend it.
