The size of the room & the remodeling to the bathroom. The carpert didn't look clean Acquiring a room on short notice and for the size & price this was a good deal.

It was a good price for a holiday weekend. The floors were sticky and the shower did not work.

I was amazed at how dirty the room was. I was not expecting much, but the various carpet stains reminded me that "wow, this place is not good." The bed was hard as a rock, and the hotel is in an area that looks pretty dicey. I definitely would not bring a family into this area. The door to the room looks like it's been kicked a few times. I used to live south of here, and only used this room because I was arriving late and simply needed to crash. If you are bringing a family to this area, PLEASE go somewhere on West Bay Area Boulevard and stay there. The area is much safer and you will like it better. Trust me on that.

Size of the room and sink in separate room. Towels were very thin and no plug in sink and bed to firm. A very good budget motel, nice size room with microwave and fridge, separate sitting area and desk. It delivered everything it said it would and no more.

Quiet. Dirty. The staff was ok, but the room was messy when we arrived and we found several maggots in the room. The plumbing leaked and shower has mildew.

Stayed because close proximaty to NASA. Room was warm because A/C left off, had to wait for room to cool down. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The excess ability of many attractions, restaurants and businesses. The continental breakfast, room was extremely hot and not a very good selection. The overall experience of the hotel was good. The only complaint was the heat in the breakfast room and the selection for the breakfast. The pool was nice as well as the hot tub. 20 Minutes from Galveston and about 35 or so from downtown Houston. The hotel was a great for the money. The beds were hard so you better like them that way.

This hotel was OK for the price. My room was clean and large. It had a couch sitting area as well as the bed part. The room did not have any bad odor like was mentioned in some of the other reviews. On the down-side, the bed was very hard and the jacuzzi by the pool was cold and did not get hot. In addition, there was noise from the adjacent Motel 6. Overall, it was not bad for a cheap hotel close to the Johnson Space Center.

The Oxford Inn is in a good location for visiting the Johnson Space Center or the Boardwalk. It's also not far to drive to Galveston Island. The room appeared dirty. The floor had white spots all over the carpet and I wouldn't sit in the chairs because the upholstery was very soiled. The telephone did not work and there was no remote for the television. The pillows were extremely flat and when I inquired about getting extra for the second night I was told they didn't have any. I got very little sleep because of the pillow. I would not stay there again.

It was cheap. No wireless. Not a nice place to stay. There was no wireless internet, and the wired internet (I brought my own Ethernet cord) failed every few minutes. The light in our bathroom broke and acted like an erratic strobe light, and was not fixed when we asked. The phone sometimes rang for no reason and the toilet had a leaky seal and constantly ran. The free breakfast consisted of stale cereal and slimy Danishes. Beds were uncomfortable.

The Oxford has a great pool with shade & sun areas. The hot tub was not functioning. The rooms are basic but updated & clean. The bed was extremely hard to the point of not feeling like a mattress, which is why I would not recommend it to a friend.
