This hotel certainly does not deserve to be 4 star. The service was terrible especially in the bars, and most of the spirits were of the cheapest of varieties. The set dinner menu had a very poor choice. The lift to the rooms was at the far end of the corridors,if you could find your way to them.Be careful when booking as they have a lot of different prices depending who you book it through. If you do get a good price make sure you receive conformation and have it with you. They wanted to charge my wife and I £50 more than the than the rest of our party who booked in a different way. Also check your bill as they had added a bar bill which we had not charged. Won't be back.

We had a really pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff were really helpful throughout, and the accommodation, food and facilities were all really well equipped. Drinks were pricey, but good quality, as was the dinner. The breakfast built into the cost was a lovely treat. The swimming pool et al was lovely and their was plenty of freedom to move around and make ourselves at home.

Very nice hotel but a little out of the wayThis is a nice hotel but a little out of the way, we were visiting oxford and found the hotel to far outside of oxford for our taste, the place is clean and well set out, staff friendly, rooms are of a nice size, breakfast was nice and service very good, wouldnt stay again if visiting oxford only due to location.

I booked 3 rooms as part of a hen do, sadly the receptionists were quite rude when we arrived and couldn't understand that the rooms had been reserved in different names but were the same party, this took a long time to sort out. Dinner food was great, breakfast reasonable. Spa facilities great

Super Room !We had a superior room which was a great size with a large bathroom. It was what you would hope for from the rating and price. It was very well furnished and new. I was not disappointed. We didnt eat in the restaurant ( though it was reasonable) as we ate in the city. The leisure facilities were wonderful ! The staff were lovely. It isnt the most child friendly hotel in terms of things to do or meals but all the staff were lovely to our 5 yr old son. The breakfast was amazing !

old tired bedrooms2 rooms booked. 1 dreadful and the other a suite, newly decorated, clean and very large etc based on floor3, the old room was worse than the travel lodge and double the price, it was old, smelly, not clean with a broken shower, it could of passed for the staff quarters, give room 120 a big miss if staying at this hotel!

My roomI knew the hotel was under refurbishment but having to step over carpet fitters carrying a suitcase is not easy! My room was obviously still to be refurbished and it certainly needed it but it was very clean. Would be very interested in seeing a newly decorated room, did miss having a mini fridge to keep water cold.

To be fair to the hotel we only ate a bar meal late in the night so could not comment on their dining room meals. Breakfast was good however.Staff were extremely helpful and polite.

Disappointing RoomDecent hotel, set in nice location. Easy access to the Park & Ride into Oxford.Food was of good standard and hotel deal was good value for money.Refurbishment was taking place in corridors - lamp shades off the walls. Room was located along this area and quality of room was not very good.

Mixed FeelingsI would like to start by saying the Hotel rooms and facilities were very good. We were swiftly and courteously dealt with in booking in and were soon in our rooms after arrival. The rooms were well furnished and had everything required for a well established hotel. However when taking a bath ready for our evening meal we found a cigarette tab in the overflow of the bath. I reported this to the duty manager and this was dealt with quickly and to my satisfaction. We had a wonderful meal in the hotel restaurant and this was very nice. After the meal we retired to the bar to have a few relaxing drinks. On ordering our drinks we were told they didn’t have any Bacardi left and that other bottles were locked up. I found this strange and ordered vodka instead. The next night we ate in the bar, again having a very nice meal. However, we were once again told that there was no Bacardi and this I find unacceptable in a 4 star establishment. I found the duty manager and asked him about the situation and he responded by saying he didn’t know about the problem and he would sort it out. Annoyed but satisfied I then returned to the bar to have Vodka again. On the third night we were again told they had no Bacardi and the excuses came again. I was told by the duty manager that a bottle had been bought that afternoon and it must have been consumed, Not very likely, but if you have gone to the trouble of buying one bottle basic bar knowledge (or managerial skills) tell you to buy two. The other thing is in establishment like this it beggars belief that they have run out of such a basic and highly popular drink such as Bacardi. The staff in the bar were very slow as well as not having basic skill for a bar person, poor knowledge on drinks messy bar surface etc. This was commented on by more than one person on waiting too long at the bar for a drink. On one visit to the bar I asked for an orange and Passion fruit J2O and was told that they had run out of this. By this ti
